I love “Community Notes,” Twitter’s crowdsourced fact-checking and context-adding feature that has repeatedly busted politicians in their false or misleading claims. On Thursday, they were at it again, nailing FBI Director Chris Wray, whose agency tweeted Thursday that “The FBI is not and has never been in the business of policing or investigating speech by parents at school board meetings…”Community Notes begs to differ, and they added a little “context” to Wray’s claim:
The FBI’s statement is misleading. On May 18, 2023, former FBI agent Steve Friend testified before the House Judiciary Committee that he and others were directed to surveil and document parents

Former Disney executive Ike Perlmutter has signaled his intention to financial back Donald Trump in the GOP presidential primary, making him one of the richest donors behind the former president this time around.
A spokesman for Perlmutter, whose net worth is estimated at $3.9 billion, told CNBC that the businessman plans a 'meaningful' contribution to Trump's presidential campaign.
The billionaire has not yet decided how much to donate, and his spokesman was unable to immediately offer further details when reached by DailyMail.com on Thursday night.

In a not a so-surprising revelation following a Secret Service briefing on Thursday, Republican Representative Lauren Boebert announced that cocaine discovered at the White House on July 2 was not the first incident of drugs found at Biden’s White House, citing two other instances within the last year.
The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that Secret Service had announced the conclusion of its investigation into the recent cocaine discovery at the White House. Despite having narrowed down a list of 500 potential individuals, no suspects have been officially identified.
Interestingly, the investigation has ended without administering drug tests to these individuals, a decision that has sparked further controversy and calls for transparency.

President Joe Biden on Thursday issued an executive order authorizing the Pentagon to call reservists to active duty “for the effective conduct” of U.S. military support to Ukraine.
At the same time, the Pentagon designated the U.S. military support to Ukraine since 2014 under Operation Atlantic Resolve a “contingency operation.”Biden wrote in a message to Congress:
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for

Sixty-one percent of Americans believe Hunter Biden received “special treatment” in his plea deal with U.S. Prosecutor David Weiss, a TIPP Poll revealed Wednesday.
Hunter Biden agreed in June to plead guilty to two federal tax violation charges and one violation of gun laws. He will appear in a Delaware federal court on July 26 before Judge Maryellen Noreika.
Legal experts told Breitbart News that the charges against Hunter Biden will likely not result in jail time.Among the 61 percent who say Hunter Biden received special treatment, 40 percent strongly believe he did, while 21 percent somewhat agree.

Few places along our 2,000-mile southern border with Mexico more perfectly illustrate America's utterly dysfunctional immigration policy than a remote, private pecan farm in Eagle Pass, Texas.
At this sprawling ranch - owned by Hugo and Magaly Urbina – on the banks of the Rio Grande, President Joe Biden's federal Border Patrol agents are locked in a bizarre daily struggle with Texas Governor Greg Abbott's Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Under a simple white tent on the farm, U.S. Border Patrol agents are processing illegal migrants and then transporting them by bus to a nearby brick-and-mortar facility.

Prosecutorial overreach is not uncommon in high-profile cases. The prosecutors pile on the charges to frighten defendants with the prospect of long prison terms so they plead out. The state also hopes to throw enough charges against the wall to see what sticks. But the danger of overreach is that a judge may want to smack a prosecutor down for bringing unnecessary charges. Such is the case in the January 6 prosecutions.
One of the rioters, Edward Lang, is facing 11 charges and pleaded not guilty to all of them. But a district court judge threw out the charges relating to “obstruction of an official proceeding” concerning Lang

A trio of prominent Republican senators zeroed in on the plot by Big Tech companies and the government to violate the First Amendment.
GOP Sens. Bill Hagerty (TN), Eric Schmitt (MO) and J.D. Vance (OH) held a press conference on Wednesday in which the trio commented on a recent preliminary injunction in the Missouri v. Biden lawsuit which banned the Biden administration from colluding with Big Tech platforms to censor free speech.
The fired-up Republican trio delivered scathing responses to the Federal government's involvement in censoring the American people online and rallied behind legislation to permanently prohibit the federal government from violating First Amendment in censorship of online free speech.

Top donors are reportedly considering moving from supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott in the Republican primary race, citing worries over the start and direction of the governor’s presidential campaign these past few months.
DeSantis formally launched his bid in the final week of May, which was met with scrutiny given the technical difficulties that plagued the highly anticipated Twitter Spaces launch. But since entering the race, DeSantis has failed to emerge as the frontrunner, and polls have neither drastically shifted nor are they swinging in his direction,

Joe Biden is on the last day of his European trip in Helsinki, Finland for the U.S.-Nordic Leaders’ Summit.
He’s been having a difficult time, being led around by the other foreign leaders, even with them having to physically move him into place. On Wednesday, he couldn’t even get Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s name right and snapped at a reporter who dared to ask Zelensky how soon after the war was over would he want to join NATO.But one of the other points of Biden’s trip was to talk about climate change. As he explained on his last day in Lithuania, “We all must summon the common will to address

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., both reached the donor requirement set forth by the Republican National Committee (RNC) to participate in the first GOP presidential debate scheduled for late August.
Christie, who was polling at around 1% in late June, said in an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper Wednesday that his campaign "went past 40,000 unique donors in just 35 days."
"And [to] give you some perspective because I ran eight years ago, in 35 days eight years ago, we had 5,000 donors. Over 40,000 donors now," Christie said. "There is a donor in every state in America, and

As the revelations of potential bribery, bank fraud and tax evasion swirl around Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, both men, who are increasingly appearing together, seem extraordinary calm and unconcerned in public as Joe flashes his signature supercilious and mocking smirk whenever he is asked about the various investigation into his and his son’s activities over the past 12 years. Thanks to pre-emptive presidential pardons, Joe knows that he, Hunter, and the family will never have to answer for any of their alleged egregious criminality.
The Supreme Court has ruled that a president can issue a pardon before charges have been filed. That pardon power:
