Fox News announced on Monday that host Jesse Watters would take over the 8 p.m. timeslot that was vacated after host Tucker Carlson was ousted from the company in late April.
The new primetime schedule will feature Laura Ingraham at 7 p.m., Sean Hannity at 9 p.m., Greg Gutfeld at 10 p.m. and Trace Gallagher hosting the news hour at 11 p.m. (Tweet) “Fox News Channel has been America’s destination for news and analysis for more than 21 years and we are thrilled to debut a new lineup,” Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott stated.
Waters is nothing but another Ivy League elitist, pretending to be the every man.

I'm sure rearranging the deck chairs will be a successful strategy.

I used to enjoy watching Watters occasionally but recently he is injecting stories about himself into the items he is covering and becoming more and more like Hannity, ie, unwatchable !

Meh. I'm surprised that Suzanne Scott didn't give the slot over to one of the Duffy kids as in some ways, Fox News is becoming the Sean and Rachel Duffy news channel. Or to Jimmy Faillia - because most news is a joke these days anyway.

I like Watters. Watched him gob smack Senator Graham with legislation he voiced support for . Jesse asked him about some very bad wording in the reading of it. Graham was thick tongued and red faced. Said he would get back to Jesse.

Egad! Who makes these decisions? Watters is such a lightweight. Ditto for Gutfeld. Hannity is annoying and made even more so with his silly audience. Laura at seven pm is a waste. Who sits down to watch a news show at seven? These are such trying times for the nation and FOX has decided to laugh about it. Conservatives have the internet and little else. Perhaps that was the plan all along. Suppose?

Fox News can re-arrange all it wants. They have betrayed the trust of their audience. I don't take such a betrayal lightly. Fox News has lost their reputation. This will not get it back.

Watters and his world is not likely to last. What he thinks is humor rarely qualifies. Laura earlier in the evening is nice, as is Gutfeld at ten. NewsMax looks better all the time. "News" in general looks worse all the time.

Jesse is okay but he does come across as a smarta$$ who needs a few more years to pull it off successfully. It's been evident a few times in just the past few weeks that he's not writing a lot of the material he reads because of small but important blips. Last week he played a very appropriate clip on our current "Brave New World" experiment. He attributed the clip to "Audrey" Huxley, if he actually knew who Huxley was he would have caught the slip immediately.
Jesse's on the right track, and on the right side but right now he's too impressed by his own "brilliance." Usually a big mistake follows that attitude. He may be great in a couple of years, but Tucker he ain't.
And...he should find a humane way to rescue the birds trapped in the column of his new mansion. Asking for advice on how to kill them could cause an explosion. (Hmmmm? His "mistake?")

This will invariably shakeup the FIVE lineup as well. Can't see Gutfeld and Watters staying on.

Will this require me reprogram my DVR? I record The Five and Gutfield because I like Greg. And I like Tyrus and Kat.

Could never understand what O'Reilly saw in the guy. Voice is irritating, smirk is off-turning, and that thing about "I'm Watters, and this is..." Ever notice how some of his on-the-street interviewees would look at him like he's scarey-crazy when he did that?

Fox already permanently lost a ton of their viewers -- even losing out to MSNBC some weeks. I don't see where this is going to bring any of those lost viewers back.
Fox showed their true colors. For those of us who remember the "fair and balanced" days, those are ancient memories now. This just isn't going to help in any way...

Soon, Watters won't be able to get his ego through the door.
Gutfeld, the midget comedian, is not remotely funny.
Hannity and his audience of clapping seals are unwatchable.
Still trying to figure out if Laura used to be a man.

You have to remember that Rupert Murdoch considers Fox News to be a loss leader. He doesn’t care if it goes bust. While I like Jesse Watters, he’s no Tucker. More’s the pity for Fox. What we need now is for people to shift over to listening to podcasts instead of TV news. For example, I joined Daily Wire Plus and got to listen to a two-hour commercial-free podcast of Jordan Peterson interviewing RFK Jr. What I learned about the latter is very different from all the favorable TV and news coverage of him. And it’s in-depth, not these quickie 5-minute slots you get on TV. Podcasting is where the future of news is. Turn off your TV set and teach these people what you really want.

At least "The My Pillow Guy" has the same face and message ever day, month, year!

I don't like Watters, Hannity or Gutfeld. Laura always had a pretty good show. She is smart and had interesting guests but now she is demoted to 7/6 o'clock spot when people are just getting home. But at least she is better than the Family Feud, which I used to watch instead of Bret Baier and Watters.

Jesse is not particularly bright or insightful. He studies and copies all of the mannerisms of Bill O’Reilly . He is a conservative but you can tell he is just reading the lines as he he glances at himself in the monitor.
I haven’t watched Fox regularly since Tucker.

Problem for the Swamp is, many no longer need the "internet", much less "Fox".
The magnitudes of discrepancy between official "narrative" and personal, observable fact has become so wide that even the feeble among us are trying out that "critical thinking" thing-a-ma-bob.
The Big Lie(s) are looking at an uphill stretch.

We enjoyed Watters at first, but he needs to learn a little humility. When Tucker was fired, we left Fox. Tuned in to The Five occasionally, but it appears they are not permitted to talk about Trump, and the subject matter has gotten away from the news and is more about light weight stuff. We watch Rob Schmitt on NewMax now.

I totally disagree with #1. Watters is no “Ivy League elitist”. Outspoken to the max and used to whacking the leftists in our admin… He has a far more satirical style than Tucker. Also a gotcha type guy.

Tuckers fans already watch Jesse. So Jesse takes his audience with him. Who is going to take over Jessie slot.. Looks like Fox will lose even more viewers

Nice try but you are still losing big money. I would imagine there was some infighting between Hannity Jesse and Greg for that primo time slot. It won't affect my schedule.

For me Jesse Watters is good only in small doses. I don’t watch his show, which is 4pm Pacific time. I used to watch Fox at 5pm but with Tucker Carlson’s ouster don’t watch that time slot. Hannity, at 6pm is an unwatchable, repetitive waste of time. I enjoyed Laura Ingraham at 7pm and now she is gone. Why couldn’t Hannity have been moved to 4pm? Better still, cancelled.

Jesse ain't no Tucker Carlson. Not even close. I used to plan dinner around Tucker's show. Never liked Jesse and we never watched his show. A huge demotion for Laura. She better get her resume ready, reading the writing on the wall. Just sayin'. The only good thing about FOX these days, is Greg Gutfeld. But, moving his show to 10 makes no sense to me. His show is edgy sometimes bordering on obscene so 11:00 is where it should stay. Also, it is so great that he keeps kicking the butts of the late night slobs. Trace Gallagher at 11 won't even scratch that surface.
FOX has no bench and as others have said, rearranging the chairs on FOX won't save it.

Watters is no Tucker...period. I can only take him in small doses because of that smug cockiness that always shows through. Having said that, however, I do enjoy it when he hacks on Jessica Tarlov, who is almost as annoying as Juan and Geraldo!

I look at it this way. I boycott certain businesses because they support Democrats very generously. Why would I ever give FNC ratings by watching them? I am giving money straight to those foreigners the Murdochs to help Dems destroy Trump and the USA.
I discovered what many of us did who turned off FNC after they helped steal the 2020 election. I am far far more informed now watching War Room, some Newsmax, GETTR, etc. than I was watching FNC.
