James O’Keefe and O’Keefe Media Group on Tuesday dropped their biggest story yet. OMG released footage of a BlackRock recruiter Serge Varlay spilling the beans on the company’s world impact. BlackRock is one of the largest (manages $20 trillion) and most powerful (and dangerous) asset and investment managers in the world.[Snip]“It’s not who the president is--it’s who’s controlling the wallet of the president,” BlackRock recruiter Serge Varlay told an undercover journalist. Serge Varlay said all the financial institutions--hedge funds, BlackRock, the banks--buy politicians--and US Senators are the cheapest.[Snip]“You got $10 grand? You can buy a senator,” he added.

A submersible that is missing deep under the Atlantic with five people on board after diving for the wreck of the Titanic resembles a 'kit car' built from 'parts you can get from Amazon', a former Royal Navy admiral said today.
Chris Parry described the small craft, named Titan, as 'very flimsy and fragile' - as a journalist who once sat inside claimed it features lights from a camping shop, off the shelf CCTV cameras and salvaged metal pipes for ballast.
The sub - which consists of a five-inch thick carbon fibre tube about the size of a minivan with a 22-inch Plexiglas window at one end -

The founder of the company whose submersible became lost on a dive to view the wreckage of the Titanic, sparking a frantic, deep-sea rescue effort that has riveted people around the world, once declared he didn’t want to hire “50-year-old white guys” on his team even if they were seasoned submariners. (snip) “When I started the business, one of the things you’ll find, there are other sub operators out there, but they typically have gentlemen who are ex-military sub-mariners, and they — you’ll see a whole bunch of 50-year-old white guys,” Rush told Teledyne Marine representatives before the expedition began.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a recent interview with NBC News, pushed back on comments from Republican politicians who are hesitant to keep bolstering Ukraine’s military against Russia.
Zelenskyy joined NBC News to talk about Ukraine’s ongoing counteroffensive and his requests for additional weapons and aircraft for Ukrainian forces. (snip) Richard Engel asked Zelenskyy to respond to Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis’s characterization of the Ukraine-Russia conflict as a “territorial dispute” and fellow Republican candidate Donald Trump’s vow to quickly end the conflict and sue for peace between the two countries.
“If any candidate thinks supporting Ukraine is too costly, are they ready to go to war? Are they ready to fight?

Speaker Kevin McCarthy urged House Republicans to vote against the resolution brought forward by GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado forcing a vote to impeach President Joe Biden this week, arguing now is not the right time, multiple sources in the closed door meeting told CNN.
McCarthy argued that Republicans should let committee investigations play out and warning that jumping to impeachment now could threaten their slim majority, the sources said. The speaker noted that House Republicans have taken back the House five times in the last 100 years, and two of those times lost the majority the next cycle.
“What majority do we want to be,” McCarthy asked his conference,

ABC News, a company owned by Disney, published a sympathetic profile about parents in Texas who claim their child came out as transgendered at age 3.

A marine heatwave is traveling from the coast of West Africa to Iceland, creating the most extreme conditions witnessed in the North Atlantic in all of recorded history.
The roughly 4,000-mile-long stretch of superheated water is encircling the coast of West Africa, Europe and the United Kingdom, all the way up to Iceland and the tip of Greenland, according to graphics shared by meteorologist Colin McCarthy and others. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is describing the phenomenon, which could have dire consequences if it continues, as a Category 4 (extreme) marine heatwave. (Tweet)

The Pentagon revealed on Tuesday that an overestimation in the value of weapons sent to Ukraine over the past two years has resulted in an extra $6.2 billion of U.S. taxpayers’ money earmarked for the Eastern European country. This figure is approximately double what was originally estimated and allegedly will be utilized for future security packages.
Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh provided clarification on the nature of the error, explaining that the military services had used the replacement cost rather than the book value of equipment pulled from Pentagon stocks and sent to Ukraine.

Tuesday, during an appearance on FNC’s “America’s Newsroom” after the announcement of the plea deal for Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, Fox News legal analyst and George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley warned the perception of the agreement would not be well received by many.
According to Turley, given the avoidance of jail and the lack of a mention of serious charges, the deal would reinforce the belief that there is a double standard within federal law enforcement.“This plea deal has the makings of an avoidance of any jail time,” he said. “But more importantly, it was an evasion of the more serious allegations

Earlier this month, a man claimed that all of his Amazon devices locked him out of his own “smart home” system after he was accused of using a racial slur.
