On Saturday, Joe Biden arrived in Philadelphia, PA, to battle it out with Sen. John Fetterman for who is the least capable of doing their job. Before their trainwreck of a joint presser, though, the president took a question on US tensions with China while exiting Air Force One.
What he told a reporter in response was astonishing. Namely, Biden claimed that the Chinese spy balloon that traversed much of the continental United States wasn’t intentional and that CCP leadership wasn’t even aware of what the balloon was doing.
REPORTER: Can Secretary Blinken ease tensions with China on this trip, do you think?
BIDEN: Sure, well look…(long pause)…China has…(long pause)…

Ron DeSantis charmed a Nevada rodeo crowd alongside his all-American family during a presidential campaign stop on Friday evening.
The Florida governor, his wife Casey DeSantis and their three children Madison, 6, Mason, 5, and Mamie, 3, were hosted by one of the sponsors of the Reno Rodeo in a box with premium views of the arena, where a slew of attendees could walk by and shake his hand or take a selfie. 'They're in the right place,' a rodeo-goer told DailyMail.com when asked how he felt about the 2024 GOP presidential candidate attending. Before bringing their kids to the rodeo, Ron and Casey stopped to drink beers with veterans

Ron DeSantis, wife Casey, and children Madison, Mamie and Mason attended Patriot Night at the Reno Rodeo in Nevada on Friday. Along with the Florida governor and Republican presidential primary candidate was former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt. Laxalt chaired Trump’s 2020 campaign in Nevada, but he is backing his old friend DeSantis this time. He also heads up the pro-DeSantis super PAC Never Back Down. This weekend marks the first trip to Nevada by DeSantis since he declared his candidacy. He is the first-ever presidential candidate to visit the Reno Rodeo. His family is on the road with him. Former Vice President Mike Pence on Friday criticized former President Donald Trump's position on abortion and the national debt, accusing his old boss of drifting away from conservative principles.
"Look, in 2016, Donald Trump promised to govern as a conservative," Pence said in an interview with NBC News’ Chuck Todd to air in full Sunday on “Meet the Press.” "But he makes no such promise today. Not only has he been walking away from a clear commitment to the right to life, but, look, we have a national debt the size of our nation’s economy. "Donald Trump’s position on the national debt is identical to Joe Biden’s," he said.

Donald Trump “was” his friend, President Biden is a “disaster” and Democratic mega-donor George Soros is a “puppet master,” former Vice President Mike Pence said during an exclusive interview with The Post. Pence, 64, who entered an increasingly crowded 2024 GOP presidential primary race this week, gave candid answers when asked for fast-take reactions to names in the news. Some elicited quick responses, while others took longer, such as when he asked about Hunter Biden.
“Time to answer questions,” he finally said, after ruminating for nearly a minute.
Other responses came much more quickly, such as when he was presented with Bud Light.
“Not anymore,” Pence said.

Opposition is in full swing to the Los Angeles Dodgers’ on-field ceremony honoring the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an organization of “drag nuns” that the Catholic League calls an anti-Catholic hate group. Thousands of Catholics, other Christians, and even some people of the Jewish faith gathered in a parking lot near the Dodgers’ stadium on Friday afternoon to pray ahead of the game. Later, the religious groups marched to Dodger Stadium, shutting down one entryway on Vin Scully Avenue.
Weeks of momentous opposition led to the drag nuns being announced on-field to a mostly empty stadium, while receiving some boos from baseball fans in attendance.

During Friday’s CNN This Morning, the network covered 16 young people suing the state of Montana over climate change. Chief climate correspondent Bill Weir portrayed the young people as the heroes of a movie where they attempt to fend off the Republican-controlled government, despite admitting that the lawsuit would not change anything even if the judge ruled in favor of the plaintiffs. The lawsuit merely singled out Montana Republicans and blamed them for the existence of fossil fuel. CNN called it “fascinating” and “such a great story.” The case hinged on the following clause in the Montana state constitution: “The state shall maintain and improve a clean and healthful environment

A hypothetical 2024 poll shows that former President Donald Trump is tied with President Joe Biden in Michigan, a state the Republican won in 2016 but lost in 2020, in a hypothetical general election matchup. The EPIC-MRA poll, released Friday morning, shows Biden and Trump in a dead heat in the Wolverine State at 44 percent apiece. Another 12 percent are either undecided or refused to answer. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) performs slightly better in a hypothetical head-to-head with the 80-year-old Biden, leading 45 percent to 44 percent. In that matchup, 11 percent of the poll participants are undecided. Trump narrowly won Michigan over twice-failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton

The United Kingdom has opened an inquiry into what worked, what didn’t, and what can be done better in light of the experience the country had during the COVID pandemic.
Gee, what a concept.
They are at just the beginning stages, so we have no idea how it will turn out, but early indications are that it at least won’t be solely a whitewash.
Again, what a concept. Actually trying to learn something from experience rather than confirm one’s priors. It’s almost as if covering everybody’s asses isn’t the sole value.
The opening of the inquiry laid some cards on the table: nobody had a clue what they were getting into, and nobody

Barack Obama popped up for an interview on CNN with his old pal David Axelrod and took off after Senator Tim Scott. Scott is running for president and Obama is in a snit about a conservative black man with a compelling life story running for the top job. Scott doesn’t divide Americans along racial lines or present a positive vision of the American Dream so he must be trashed by jealous Democrats.
Ponder back to the days of Barack Obama in the White House. He suckered in voters with a phony upbeat message of Yes, We Can and giving voters the hope and change schtick. Not only did

Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked the Pentagon Papers and was labeled the “most dangerous man in America” by Henry Kissinger, has died at age 92.
Ellsberg announced in March that he was terminally ill with pancreatic cancer, sharing on Facebook: “When I copied the Pentagon Papers in 1969, I had every reason to think I would be spending the rest of my life behind bars. It was a fate I would gladly have accepted if it meant hastening the end of the Vietnam War, unlikely as that seemed (and was). Yet in the end, that action—in ways I could not have foreseen, due to Nixon’s illegal responses

One of the great frustrations I have with most of the Republican candidates for president, especially including Donald Trump, is that they are talking about Donald Trump all the time.
The 2020 election is in the rearview mirror, and the 2024 election should be–must be–about America’s future, not whether and how much Donald Trump is being persecuted by his enemies or betrayed by the people that he hired. Trump keeps talking about himself, and everybody else is either talking about Trump or knocking Ron DeSantis.
Politically speaking there is a reason why they are doing this–they need to stand out from the pack and to knock down the top two candidates
