Miami — A controversial Florida law which took effect Saturday no longer recognizes driver's licenses issued to undocumented immigrants from other states, among other restrictions.
It is part of a sweeping immigration bill signed by Republican Florida governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis back in May that is prompting many to leave the state.
The run-up to the new law has sparked protests by immigrant workers, from those in the tourism and hospitality industry, to those who work in agricultural fields.
"We are hearing people are starting to leave," Yvette Cruz with the Farmworkers Association of Florida told CBS News of reports of migrant workers abandoning fields and construction projects.

The Department of Defense has trotted out a new stunning and brave transgender for its audience to celebrate. Who exactly the DOD hopes to reach with this kind of Social Justice™ propaganda remains very much unclear.
“@USArmy Maj. Rachel Jones found solace after coming out as a transgender female. Her journey from battling depression & suicidal thoughts to embracing authenticity inspires us all. #WhyWeServe,” the DoD posted to Twitter yesterday, accompanied by an article posted to the army’s website titled “Living authentically saves Soldier’s life.” [Tweet] Via U.S. Army:
Coming out as a transgender female saved Maj. Rachel Jones’ life.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki claimed Republicans are recruiting Muslims against transgender people in her Sunday episode of MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki.”
Psaki claimed Republicans are using former President Richard Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” method by turning Muslim Americans against transgender people and, in turn, winning their vote.
“Now, decades later, the right-wing is reviving that same playbook,” Psaki said. “This time, with Muslim Americans and trans people. Hear me out here, the GOP is trying to recruit Muslim Americans, a community that makes up less than two percent of the U.S. population against another tiny marginalized group of Americans — transgender people.”

The White House grounds were evacuated on Sunday due to the discovery of an initially unidentified package.
“U.S. Secret Service Uniform Division Officers located an unknown item on the White House complex,” a Secret Service spokesman confirmed. “As a precaution, the White House grounds were evacuated, and the DC Fire Departments Hazmat team responded. [Tweets] Curiously, there hasn’t been a lot of news coverage of this incident. This seems odd because the evacuation of the White House and the response of a Hazmat team seems like a significant story. It’s true that the item was eventually deemed to be “non-hazardous” by D.C. Emergency Medical officials, but that’s not the whole story.

In the early 19th century, more than 100 years before electric refrigeration, an entrepreneurial Bostonian named Frederic Tudor landed on an idea: He'd cut blocks of ice from his Massachusetts lake and sell it to places where temperatures were too warm for ice to form naturally. Potential financiers thought this plan was too absurd to work. How would he ship the ice without it melting, they wondered, and who would buy it when it could be harvested for free?
Ultimately Tudor not only succeeded at distributing and selling ice—his trade revolutionized how Americans thought of food. Having access to ice

Of the many odious Left-wing protest groups the West tolerates for some reason, Just Stop Oil (JSO) may be the most reviled in all of England. The group is famous for pulling pranks that inconvenience and annoy people, leading almost everyone they affect to despise them. They interrupt high-profile sports matches. They cause traffic snarls that lead to blocked ambulances and death. They throw food onto famous artworks. They glue themselves to things and ruin commuters’ lives. They even caused a pileup at the intersection when they blocked a float in London’s Pride parade Saturday:

Unfortunately, a new poll shows that the majority of Americans believe to some extent the unscientific climate doom propaganda that has been consistently wrong for half a century. The good news: most Americans still oppose ditching fossil fuels and gas cars altogether.
Pew Research Center published the results of its new survey on June 28. While climate alarmists’ predictions have been consistently and wildly wrong for 50 years now, with one unscientific claim after another proven false, the media, government, and institutions continue pounding in the narrative — and with some apparently considerable effects:
74% of Americans say they support the country’s participation in international efforts

Florida on Saturday became the most recent U.S state to allow people to carry a concealed gun without a government-issued permit.
The state joins 25 others in allows for so-called "conceal carry," but those wanting to do so in Florida still must pass a background check and go through a three-day waiting period to purchase a gun.
Other states that do not require a license to conceal carry include Alabama, Kansas and Oklahoma.
The law went into effect July 1, after Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the legislative measure into law in April.
There were no reports Saturday of problems related to the law going into effect.

One thing you have to realize about progressive Democrats is they are raging hypocrites. Ok, maybe that’s a little too broad – to say they’re hypocrites is to point out that they say one thing and do the opposite. That’s true, they do that all the time (see multi-millionaire Bernie Sanders and his condemnations of capitalism), but the rest of the time, they fill with things that are so absurd, so blindly stupid that you really have to wonder if they are too, or they just know their voters are so they don’t worry about it.

Why is the Biden regime so obsessively preoccupied with promoting sexual deviance and transgender delusion and fantasy? Not only is it aggressively promoting “Pride” inside the United States, but it is also sending your tax dollars abroad to make sure that young Ecuadorians see their fair share of drag queens, and that Polish boys can decide they’re really girls after all. Imagine what George Washington, John Adams, or Thomas Jefferson would make of this: is this really what the republic they constructed and bequeathed to us should be spending its money on?
The Washington Free Beacon reported Friday that “the Biden administration has given nearly $4.6 million to help foreign

You may remember Rob Malley from Islamic terrorism scandals such as these.
During the 2008 election, the Obama campaign dropped Robert Malley as an adviser over his work with Hamas on behalf of George Soros’ International Crisis Group. Once in office, Obama brought back his old buddy into the National Security Council.
Malley then became the lead negotiator for the sellout deal to legitimize Iran’s nuclear program.
Despite vocal criticism from Iranian dissidents and the country’s freedom movement, Biden chose Malley as his special envoy to Iran. Even as Robert Malley continues conducting outreach to the Islamic terrorist state on behalf of the Biden administration, his son works at a pro-Iran organization

Last month, we learned from IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley that U.S. Attorney David Weiss told multiple witnesses the DOJ had instructed him not to pursue charges against Hunter Biden in California and Washington, D.C. This conflicted with Weiss’s and Attorney General Merrick Garland’s public assertions that Weiss had complete authority in his investigation.
The New York Times confirmed Shapley’s claims last week, and now Weiss has confirmed them as well.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) recently called on Weiss to clarify his past claims of having full authority, giving him a deadline of July 6 to respond. Weiss responded on Friday night in a letter.
“Dear Chairman Jordan,” the letter begins,
