The late British author Beatrix Potter is being accused of stealing the stories for her Peter Rabbit books from slaves in America, with a woke literature professor saying Potter is guilty of the “appropriation” of black culture.
In a recent essay, Emily Zobel Marshall, who teaches postcolonial literature at Leeds Beckett university in England, claimed Beatrix Potter ripped off the oral “Br’er Rabbit” folk tales told by slaves working on southern plantations. In addition, she accuses Potter of deliberately hiding the “sources” of her literary inspiration. [Tweet]

Hollywood star Jane Fonda made the outrageous claim Friday that climate change is being caused exclusively by men, specifically white men, adding that “those men” must be arrested and jailed.
She also blamed the “patriarchy” and “racism” for global warming.Speaking at a career retrospective at the Cannes Film Festival in France, Jane Fonda promoted her radical climate activism efforts, saying the world has “about seven, eight years” to cut fossil fuel consumption in half. She also said “poor people of color” as well as populations in the southern hemisphere will be hit hardest by global warming.

"It's time to pay." Those four words from Missouri Democrat Rep. Cori Bush are being heard a lot by Democratic politicians across the country this month. For Bush, the debt amounts to $14 trillion in reparations for Black Americans. In California, activists are demanding as much as $5 million per Black resident and asking Gov. Gavin Newsom "where's the money?" One member of Newsom's Reparations Task Force demanded that the state pay its "sin bill"
In New York and Chicago, mayors are balking at towering costs from migrants being shipped from the border to their "sanctuary" cities.

A town hall meeting held by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in Queens on Friday night descended into farce as the firebrand was called a 'piece of s*** and berated for her views on Ukraine, migrants, drag queen story hours and the debt ceiling.
The meeting was held in the Corona neighborhood, AOC's constituency. Her constituents were not in welcoming mood, especially when the town hall moved to to the question and answer stage.
'American citizens before migrants,' one heckler yelled. Others chanted: 'America first.' Another shouted: 'We are on the verge of nuclear war with Russia. Are you going to stop this war?' shouted another,

I have become increasingly skeptical of much of what is going on in our government. AT writers and readers inspire me to question everything.(snip) In the same timeframe during which the Durham report was released, we also saw a report released on the FBI FISA abuses. We are supposed to be happy that only 278,000 unauthorized (illegal) warrantless searches occurred in 2020 and accept that the FBI has resolved this situation.Interesting...a system created to keep tabs on foreign threats is being used to illegally spy on American citizens at an alarming rate.

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors has been quietly let go from her Warner Bros TV deal after producing no content.
Cullors, 39, signed the deal with the media giant in 2020 to much fanfare but it ended in secret in October 2022, it emerged on Friday.
'The deal, unfortunately, did not result in any produced shows,' a source told the New York Post. Cullors claimed in January 2022 that she was working on a documentary about how reparations were similar to the idea of landback, where Native Americans got back their lands, and another about black social mobility.

This is unbelievable gaslighting.
Joe and Jill Biden on Friday hosted a ceremony for the Louisiana State University Tigers Women’s Basketball team to celebrate their 2022-2023 NCAA Championship season.
Dr. Jill told the female athletes how proud she was of how far women’s sports have come.Biological males posing as ‘transgenders’ are destroying women’s sports.
The Biden Regime is also waging a war on women’s sports with a proposed change to Title IX which would make it illegal for schools to ban transgender students from sports teams

NEW YORK— Vice President Kamala Harris, the first woman to deliver a commencement speech at West Point, lauded graduating cadets Saturday for their noble sacrifice in serving their country, but noted they were entering an “unsettled world” because of Russian aggression and the rising threats from China.
“The world has drastically changed,” Harris told the roughly 950 graduating cadets. She referred to the global pandemic that took millions of lives and the fraught shifts in global politics in Europe and in Asia.
“It is clear you graduate into an increasingly unsettled world where long-standing principles are at risk,” she said.

Rachel Rogers was employed as a sales associate at the Lululemon store in Peachtree Corners, Ga., for five years. But after the same group of looters attacked the store for the fourth or fifth time, making off with thousands of dollars in merchandise, she called 911.
Assistant Manager Jennifer Ferguson described the scene. “All of a sudden we see some gentlemen run into the store in masks and hoodies,” Ferguson said, “They swiped until they couldn’t hold any more product and ran out the door.”
But a week later, Rogers was fired. She had apparently run afoul of a company policy that had a “zero tolerance” for calling 911. Certainly one can

What some mainstream conservatives and pundits aren’t considering, given our bleak 2024 electoral landscape (unresolved DNC-sponsored mass mail-in voting; an open border with millions of people streaming across it; an administrative state and media complex actively colluding and working against the people) is that Trump’s era was, and probably is, the last time flyover country will ever see executive representation in Washington again.
Looking ahead to 2024, we should ask, Have the voters in that overlooked region—so breezily dismissed time and time again—changed in any marked way? Are they ready to move on? If anything, they’ve become even more alienated and disgusted by the Washington establishment than they were in 2016.

Actor Tom Hanks lectured new graduates on truth during his commencement speech at Harvard University Thursday. (snip)
The actor attempted to motivate graduates to pursue "sacred" truth instead of the truth that has evolved from today's society. “For the truth to some is no longer empirical. It’s no longer based on data, nor common sense, nor even common decency,” Hanks said. (snip) Hanks acknowledged that an effort to pursue truth "is optional. But the truth, the truth is sacred. Unalterable. Chiseled into the stone and the foundation of our republic." All throughout the speech, the actor quoted from the Declaration of Independence and the Bible to get his point across,

Methinks they protest too much.
It took about a nanosecond for the legacy media, former President Donald Trump, and his rivals for the GOP presidential nomination to pounce following the launch of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign on Wednesday evening.
True, the technical glitches which delayed the livestream event weren’t exactly ideal and it was a missed opportunity for DeSantis. But the derision that has ensued is way out of proportion to what actually happened.
And if, as tech entrepreneur David Sacks said during the livestream, “We’ve got so many people here
