So that’s the big news after all these years—the Russia Hoax really was a hoax. As if anyone with an IQ above room temperature ever doubted it. Here’s Zerohedge’s summary of this not-so-stunning revelation:
According to Just the News, the report concludes that the FBI had no verified intelligence or evidence when it opened up an investigation into Donald Trump and his campaign in the summer of 2016.
Durham placed blame on the FBI and DOJ for failing to follow their own standards in a probe which should have never taken place - including the agency's surveillance of an American citizen without basis.

The Durham Report is finally being released now.
Sean Davis of “The Federalist” got a copy of it before it was officially released and hit some of the highlights in a Twitter thread.
He noted that “Neither U.S. nor the Intelligence Community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”

A nonpartisan seniors group warned that next year’s cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for recipients will likely be smaller in 2024 than in 2023, meaning retirees will lose purchasing power.
In a news release, The Senior Citizens League said that the COLA for 2024 could be approximately 3.1 percent for 2024, or down more than 5 percentage points from 2023’s COLA, which was 8.7. percent. The increase was the largest in more than 40 years due to high inflation amidst the winding down of COVID-19-related pandemic rules and lockdowns.
The group said that because of a likely decrease in inflation, there will be a smaller COLA adjustment.

The United States was shut down at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. It started under the Trump administration, with guidelines in March 2020. Officials declared that in order to “slow the spread,” the nation would have to self-quarantine for 15 days.
Then we were told that 15 days was not enough to “flatten the curve,” that we need to quarantine longer. The economy began to fail. Trillions of dollars were given in COVID-19 bailouts, and the American people were given crumbs from those funds. Teachers refused to return to school, and children were forced to learn from home. Businesses declared as nonessential were closed,

Florida’s governor has just cut ties with a political action committee (PAC) bearing his name. Many Floridians see this as an indication that he’s preparing to abandon Florida for a presidential run.
(anip) DeSantis severed ties with “Friends of Ron DeSantis,” a major state-level PAC “committed to advancing” the governor’s “Freedom Agenda and keeping Florida free.” (snip), the new “associated person,” is Florida State Senator Blaise Ingoglia.”
(snip) state law (pdf) prohibits the use of money raised by a state-level PAC for a race at the federal level.
Tim Sharp(snip) said, “He’s running.”
“He just wanted to make sure the revision on Resign-to-Run came through,”

The Biden administration asked the U.S. Supreme Court to dismiss a high-profile case in which Republicans want the court to recognize state legislatures’ power to regulate federal elections without interference from state courts, which they say the U.S. Constitution requires.
At issue is the once-obscure independent state legislature doctrine, under which Republicans argue that the Constitution has always directly authorized state legislatures alone to make rules for the conduct of federal elections in their respective states.
Democrats say the doctrine is a fringe conservative legal theory that could endanger voting rights,

Texas State House Representative Shawn Thierry, D-Houston, joined with Republicans to support Senate Bill 14 which would restrict gender modification in children. As a Democrat from the Houston area, Mrs. Thierry came under blistering assault from organized alphabet activists in her decision to support the House version of the Texas bill.
Facing threats, ostracization, ridicule and direct personal attacks against her, Ms. Thierry stood against the rage of the mob and voted to support the bill. Explaining her position, Representative Thierry delivered eloquent and powerful remarks on the issue to the House chamber. WATCH:

A top Republican accused the White House of "intimidating" players with knowledge of the Biden family's overseas business dealings.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) urged the "FBI work with us" as his panel struggles to get more information out of those individuals who know about the family's dealings with Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC, eastern Europe, and more.
"Nine of the 10 people that we've identified that have very good knowledge with respect to the Bidens — they're one of three things: they're either currently in court, they're currently in jail, or they're currently missing," Comer told Fox News's Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

Motherhood. Contrary to ridiculous claims otherwise, it starts with being a woman. Which starts with XX chromosomes and can never be changed.
It didn’t take God long at all in his creation process to get to the male, female, mother, and father part. I can see nothing confusing in his words. From Genesis, Chapter 1:(snip)And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth…
So, I am a woman, a wife, a mother, a grandmother. A daughter,
(snip) I am a she. I am a her.

In a win for the Justice Department, a federal judge on Friday blocked a May 24 deposition of former President Donald Trump in connection with a pair lawsuits filed by former FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
The order from U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson was in response to a Justice Department motion filed on Thursday urging her to reconsider an earlier ruling that said that Trump and FBI Director Christopher Wray could be deposed in the lawsuits, without specifying the order of depositions. Government attorneys argued that Wray's deposition, which has not been scheduled, could make Trump's unnecessary.

Chicago got a lot more than it bargained for when the people voted for “sanctuary city” policies. Taking them at their word—that they would welcome hordes of illegal aliens—the governor of border state Texas, Greg Abbott, has been sending busloads of people who cross into his state illegally right to the heart of Chicago. It’s the best idea anyone has come up with yet. Let the sanctuary cities become the new border towns! Let the blowhards who say it’s inhumane to turn people away absorb them! (snip)So why, when they’ve now been given the chance to welcome them with open arms, is there trouble in sanctuary paradise?

The Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines did not impact overall mortality, a reanalysis of clinical trial data found.
The two vaccines, both based on messenger RNA (mRNA) technology, protected against deaths from COVID-19 but that effect was offset by vaccinated trial participants being more likely to die from cardiovascular problems, Christine Stabell Benn, a health professor at the University of Southern Denmark, and other researchers reported in April (snip)
On the other hand, vaccines that utilized adenoviruses, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, had a favorable impact on both COVID-19 mortality and overall mortality, (snip).
The research analyzed data from randomized clinical trials (RCTs) reported by the companies that manufacture
