There’s one certainty in politics. If a Democrat is accusing a Republican of doing something, it is the Democrat who is inevitably actually doing it. That dynamic played out again Wednesday after a major revelation about Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor called into question all the recent left-wing attacks on Justices Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch.(Snip)Well, they are going to have to call another hearing because it’s been revealed that Sotomayor took $3.6 million from a book company that did have business before the court at the time(Snip)The publishing company in question actually stood to lose money depending on how the court ruled,

Exclusive—A first-term House Republican is leading 75 other lawmakers in demanding transparency from the Biden administration following a report that the federal government was unable to track 85,000 migrant children whom it released into the United States since 2021, the Washington Examiner has learned.
In a letter sent Wednesday, southeastern Arizona Rep. Juan Ciscomani accused Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of knowingly and recklessly discharging unaccompanied children to adults across the country and doing nothing to find the tens of thousands they had lost touch with.

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday approved its 10th interest rate increase in just a little over a year and dropped a tentative hint that the current tightening cycle is at an end.
In a unanimous decision widely expected by markets, the central bank’s Federal Open Market Committee raised its benchmark borrowing rate by 0.25 percentage point. The rate sets what banks charge each other for overnight lending but feeds through to many consumer debt products such as mortgages, auto loans and credit cards. The increase takes the fed funds rate to a target range of 5%-5.25%, the highest since August 2007.

Joe Biden is a nostalgia president. He’s a link to the Obama era, of course.
But he’s also a living reminder of the days when Democrats were automatically the party of white ethnics, especially Irish Catholics. For senior white voters in the Democratic coalition, the professed Catholic and Irish-ish Biden is an older, lesser Kennedy — but an heir to JFK nonetheless.
Only now Biden has to contend with a real Kennedy for next year’s Democratic presidential nomination.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his bid not even two weeks ago and already polls at 20% in the Democratic race.
That’s partly a function of his famous name, of course.

The concerted effort by the media and Democrats to delegitimize the Supreme Court is the most consequential attack on our institutions in memory.
Make no mistake. Today’s “Supreme Court Ethics Reform” hearing is meant to discredit the high court and slander justices with innuendo. Nothing else. Democrats are angry because the court happens to occasionally uphold basic constitutional principles of American governance. Democrats are nervous that originalist justices are going to weaken the administrative state or hand power back to localities or protect religious liberty or gun rights.

Two parishioners at a Latin Mass Catholic Church have reported “suspicious activity” from what appeared to be FBI vehicles this past February, just a month after the FBI’s Richmond field office submitted a now-rescinded internal memo warning of danger from “radical-traditional Catholics.” The story was first reported by The Daily Signal.
Two witnesses told the outlet that they saw two vehicles approach the church, drive through the parking lot as if they were marking down license plate numbers, then leave. This was reported on two separate occasions at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel in Linden, Virginia, located about 63 miles outside of Washington D.C.
