Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will reportedly jump into the 2024 presidential race mid-May.
According to NBC News, DeSantis will launch his presidential exploratory committee in a couple weeks.
NBC News reported: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is poised to jump into the presidential fray as soon as mid-May, four GOP operatives familiar with the conversations told NBC News.
One of the sources emphasized that it would be an exploratory committee, with the official launch coming soon after.
Some of his backers are urging him to declare as early as May 11, in an effort to counter the creeping national narrative that former President Donald Trump is the overwhelming front-runner for the 2024 GOP nomination.

Too bad he’s wasting time from his family, small children, and commitment to FL… which, sadly, tell us what his priorities are.

This is such a stupid move for him that it PROVES he’s an establishment hack who does what he’s told. THEY are telling him that he’s going to run and that’s it. Not only will he not win the nomination and Presidency in 24, but this move will take him out of the picture forever. Maybe Fox will hire him, but with he doesn’t really have a tv voice if you ask me. Bottom line…..THEY are sacrificing him because they are so afraid of Trump. It’s all THEY got and it’s their only play. Boy is this going to be fun to watch him be taken out by Trump. Both he and his wife are obviously uncomfortable about all this and you could plainly see it on both of their faces a few days ago. He may be a great Governor and he may have made a good president. Who knows. This is so know. He’s a pawn. That’s all he is. And he’s going to be moved and ultimately sacrificed in an effort to take down the King. ……..

Well, it's NBC "News." I like how the MFM now states the number of anonymous sources, as if that had anything to do with the story's veracity. "Four GOP operatives familiar with the conversations," "eight sources within FOX," "51 intelligence professionals." You get the idea.

Mistake. Trump is what we desperately need, but I am worried that brain-challenged ‘moderate’ women won’t vote for him in 2024. I hope I am wrong. As to DeSantis, he has screwed up. I am hoping for Josh Hawley or JD Vance in 2028.

I read on another site that Trump is being advised and is considering offering the VP slot to DeSantis. I think "Don and Ron" would make a good bumper sticker.

Anybody smart will pay attention to that "creeping national narrative." President Trump has not dodged all of the bullets and fires to be beaten by a rookie or an Indian RINO or his squishy former VP. MAGA

Hey, Ron…you promised the citizens of Florida that you would serve out your entire term as their governor. Seems you are not man of his word which makes you untrustworthy. Also, you are a shill for the donor class. You know, we know it, and you know we know it. If you had any love for the country or respect for your word, you would sit this one out and, endorse Trump if you really wanted to do something good for the country.
I am speculating here but I think your enablers are telling you that Trump will not run in 2024 because he will be in jail or worse and you have to be there to step into the role you were made for. They are promising to hand you the presidency if you challenge Trump. What they don’t tell you is that you are a sacrificial lamb that will be sacrificed on the altar of their god, Never Trump. I can tell you right now, I will not vote for you if you are the nominee because you are just like every other Rino and I absolutely refuse to vote for a disloyal, ego-centric puppet of the GOP elites. You are throwing your career aspirations away to serve the political elites who care nothing about your dreams or this country. It’s all about protecting the status quo which is a cabal of zealously anti-American globalist elites who believe they should rule the world. I thought you were smarter than that. As Aretha Franklin so magnificently sang, You better think!

I'll believe it when I hear it, not when NBC says it.

Could the demonrats vaunted "most inclusive and extensive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics" somehow help DeSantis to a primary win over President Trump? Could they then install DeSantis (if he truly is a rino puppet) in the White House? Seems feasible to me considering the cheating on steroids they've used in the last couple elections (2020 - 2022 for those in Rio Linda)!

This is just the latest method to take out Trump. They will do anything to do that, even fund a presidential run by DeSantis. I am voting for Trump, because all my enemies are against him, and have pulled every dirty stunt to get rid of him, and fully knowing it is Trump supporters that are the target, the middle class that want to be free and independent.

Bad idea, and it diminishes my view of DeSantis. An unfortunate move.

I do not believe DeSantis is unable to see that he will get flattened and finished like Jeb! and Cruz by Trump.
Makes me think he will sit this one out.
Trump has not been resting, getting more high-profile supporters daily.

I think he “jumped in” a while back. His surrogates certainly did.
But, whatever Rove, et al., think best.

I Luv my Guv and sincerely hope poster # 13 is right.
You should all be so fortunate as to have a governor like Ron DeSantis. I agree that his non-candidacy candidacy is getting old, but all the canned vitriol directed against him on this board is even worse IMO.
And # 1, you can be assured that DeS has not shirked his duties as governor. His is in the midst of a very productive legislative session.
Governor Ron, please back off and sit this one out. There is no path forward for you in the mass called 2024.

DiSantis best path to the presidency in the future is to endorse Trump now.

I didn't think DeSantis was running until I read that the Florida Legislature was proposing an amendment that would allow him to run without finishing his term as governor.
The conservative powers that be do not want Trump to run.
Not sure if the crumbling state of the country is enough to convince the never Trumpers to vote for him.

Ronnie, you are selling out the Floridians who voted for you by decided to run for president and potentially leave Florida. Broken promise, pal. Your recent shine from responding well to Hurricane Ian is fading fast.
