Tucker Carlson's wife was spotted out for a walk with her dogs a day after the bombshell news that her husband was booted from Fox News after 14 years on-air.
Susan Andrews Carlson, 53, was seen wearing a pink and white bandeau top with a white and blue striped towel wrapped tightly around her waist on Tuesday.
She protected her skin by wearing a large floppy hat as she walked her dogs on the beach by their multi-million-dollar Florida home. The mother-of-four was accompanied by a friend as the two appeared to be in conversation as they traversed the sandy beach.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and other top House Republicans raced Tuesday to lock down votes for a legislative package that would raise the debt ceiling while cutting spending that they believe will strengthen their negotiating position with Democrats as a standoff looms later this year.
McCarthy hosted GOP members in the speaker’s office all day Tuesday as tense talks continued between leadership and some members from different factions who remain noncommittal on or opposed to the bill, called the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023.

William Donohue of the Catholic League pointed out the Tuesday New York Times demonstrated an obvious labeling contrast. On page A1 came the headlined "Fox News Ousts Carlson, a Voice Of the Far Right." But on B-1, there was no label in the header "Lemon Out At CNN; He Says He Is ‘Stunned’. "
In the piece by Michael Grynbaum, John Koblin, and Benjamin Mullin, Lemon was only "fiery" and "spiky," not liberal or far-left:
One of CNN’s most recognizable stars, Mr. Lemon had a reputation as a fiery political commentator during his eight years as a prime-time anchor...

Republican Reps. Patrick McHenry and Warren Davidson sent a letter on Tuesday promising action if the Biden administration did not reverse changes that increase mortgage costs for homeowners with good credit to offset those who have riskier credit.
Financial Services Chair McHenry, R-N.C., and Housing and Insurance subcommittee chair Davidson, R-Ohio, said they would move to repeal the new provision through legislation if the Federal Housing Finance Agency did not move to do so itself.
'It's a socialist redistribution of wealth,' said Davidson in a statement. 'If the FHFA doesn't reverse this rule, Congress must.'

LEMOORE, Calif.—Ron Caetano is packed and ready to go. His family photos and valuables are in the trailer and he’s put food in carry totes. He moved the rabbits and chickens and their automatic feeders to higher ground.
He and his family and dogs could get out in less than an hour, they figure, should more heavy rain or hot weather melt so much mountain snow that gushing water overwhelms the rivers and channel that surround their tight-knit, rural Central California community and give it its name, the Island District.
“The water is coming this way,” said Caetano, who started a Facebook group to help organize his neighbors.

President Joe Biden, now 80 years old and running for reelection, suggested during his 1972 U.S. Senate race that his 63-year-old opponent was too old to serve.
When he ran against incumbent Sen. Cale Boggs (R-DE), a former two-term governor, in 1972, Biden, a local councilman in Delaware at 29 years old, used his opponent’s age to criticize him on multiple occasions, CNN first reported.“Cale doesn’t want to run, he’s lost that old twinkle in his eye he used to have,” Biden said of his opponent in 1972. The then-councilman used the senator’s age enough times that a reporter eventually labeled the tactic “Dear old dad.”

Early on Tuesday morning, President Joe Biden launched his 2024 re-election bid via a three-minute video posted across social media. Like his gaffe-filled presidential speeches, the campaign clip is riddled with false claims about Biden's political opponents."Freedom" is the video's title and the very first word uttered by Biden, flashing on the screen, about 10 seconds in. "Personal freedom is fundamental to who we are as Americans. There's nothing more important. Nothing more sacred," Biden's booming voice-over narrated.

El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser said Monday that he will declare a state of emergency due to migrants coming to the Texas city before Title 42 ends on May 11. "We will do it prior to May 11, to declare a state of emergency, for the main reason being we want to make sure we have schools prepared and ready to go, the civic center ready to go and it's going to be very important that we are prepared strictly for temporary housing," said Leeser.
Deputy City Manager Mario D'Agostino said there is a possibility that 35,000 migrants could cross the U.S.-Mexico border.

Law enforcement officials with the Fort Worth Police Department shut down Antifa agitators over the weekend who counter-protested a small group of demonstrators from “Protect Texas Kids” who were protesting a drag show event.
The Protect Texas Kids group arrived at a restaurant on Sunday to stage their demonstration at the event across the street when the counter-protesters showed up “dressed in black, wearing helmets and outer tactical vests, and many of them were armed with handguns and long guns,” officials said in a statement.

NEW YORK—A former advice columnist’s nearly 30-year-old rape claim against Donald Trump went to trial Tuesday as jurors in the federal civil case heard her allegation of being attacked in a luxury department store dressing room. The former president says nothing happened between them.
E. Jean Carroll will testify that what unfolded in a few minutes in a fitting room in 1996 “would change her life forever,” one of her lawyers, Shawn Crowley, said in an opening statement.
“Filled with fear and shame, she kept silent for decades. Eventually, though, silence became impossible,” Crowley said. And when Carroll broke that silence in a 2019 memoir, the then-president “used the most powerful platform

The female FOX News booking producer who filed a lawsuit last month against longtime host Tucker Carlson says she is celebrating his abrupt firing, noting 'he made my life a living hell.'
Abby Grossberg, who was fired by FOX shortly after she filed two separate lawsuits against the network earlier this year, said in an interview with MSNBC on Tuesday that Carlson and his show's executive producer Justin Wells were 'responsible for breaking me.'
Speaking of the moment she found out Carlson was abruptly fired on Monday, Grossberg said she felt a slew of different emotions.
