The French Gambit

Original Article

Readers will likely be aware of the tag team visit of Le Petit Roi Macron and Ursula the Lionhearted to Beijing. It turned out to be a shambles, with Xi clearly irked by Macron and Ursula snubbed and subjected to indignities (passport checks, etc.) at every turn. On the other hand, the US and its vassal states in the collective West were predictably outraged at Macron’s seeming attempt to channel de Gaulle vision of a leadership role and “strategic autonomy” for France in world affairs.

Comments:

Macron’s mission to cosy up to Xi. Do away with the US dollar as international currency. The article goes on to talk about another ill-conceived move: Biden’s sending his Treasury Dept. team to tour the EU and get them to toe our line with threats of sanctions. Meanwhile he continues to diminish our country’s historic status on the world stage. He must go!

Macron is no fool. Of course even a fool can see that the United States is running on empty. The USA bullied France and Germany to join us on an insane crusade to effect regime change in Russia. I’m hopeful these two countries have had enough and will now work to ending the war in Ukraine. Under the Democrats the stability of the dollar, which made it the global reserve currency, has been destroyed. Macron is hedging his bets. Of course he would rather his country be aligned with a strong America but our country’s descent into incoherence and cultural madness makes China seem a better bet.

The "Leader of the Free World" (tm) has a followership problem heightened by its lack of cogent foreign policy and a domestic policy of open borders and $31 TRILLION in debt, with no idea of how to escape this black hole. The French haven't been serious players in world affairs since 1940.

Ah yes, French. Cinco de Mayo is coming up. A Mexican celebration about four thousand Mexican troops defeating ten thousand invading foreign troops. Amazing that they could rout such a superior army that outmanned them two to one until, wait for it, the superior army was French.

The Biden administration, months before the Mar-a-Lago raid, asked the federal agency in charge of keeping the nation’s records to let the FBI pore over documents from former President Donald Trump’s home, a newly disclosed letter shows. The White House Counsel’s Office sent the request to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in April, acting Archivist Debra Wall later told Evan Corcoran, a lawyer for Trump. “On April 11, 2022, the White House Counsel’s Office—affirming a request from the Department of Justice supported by an FBI letterhead memorandum—formally transmitted a request that NARA provide the FBI access to the 15 boxes for its review within seven days,

However, if you factor in the unspoken influence and importance of Chicago Jesus, et al,… well, then things take a more fulsome background.

PROLOGUE: THE INFORMATION WAR In 1950, Sen. Joseph McCarthy claimed that he had proof of a communist spy ring operating inside the government. Overnight, the explosive accusations blew up in the national press, but the details kept changing. Initially, McCarthy said he had a list with the names of 205 communists in the State Department; the next day he revised it to 57. Since he kept the list a secret, the inconsistencies were beside the point. The point was the power of the accusation, which made McCarthy’s name synonymous with the politics of the era.

Why are IQs dropping? 23 replies

For decades IQs were climbing in the Western World. It was called the “Flynn effect.” Average IQs were defined as 100 in each succeeding iteration of the IQ test, as by definition the average was normed to 100. But if you rescored earlier IQ tests based upon prior norms, the average IQ would have increased by about 15 points or one standard deviation. In other words, if you took an IQ test in 1942 and scored 100, by today’s scoring you would have an IQ of 86. That is, until the past 10 or so years. In the past 10 years, IQs have been dropping, and dropping pretty fast.

President Joe Biden signed legislation Monday to end the national emergency for Covid-19, the White House said, in a move that will not affect the end of the separate public health emergency scheduled for May 11. A White House official downplayed the impact of the bill, saying the termination of the emergency "does not impact our ability to wind down authorities in an orderly way." The bill to end the national emergency cleared the Senate last month in a bipartisan 68-23 vote and passed the House earlier this year with 11 Democrats crossing party lines to vote for the joint resolution.
