Former House Eyeball Licker Nancy Pelosi probably thought she was secure and sheltered giving a talk in the liberal toilet known as New York City Moscow on the Hudson. The Big Apple hasn’t seen an actual patriot since George Washington and his men stumbled out of Fraunces Tavern on September 15, 1787, so who could blame her for thinking she was in a safe space?

The Biden administration is weighing an aggressive proposal to implement the tightest-ever federal regulations governing tailpipe emissions in an effort to boost electric vehicles.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expected to announce the new standards, which will impact cars manufactured between 2027-2032, next week during a ceremony in Detroit, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing officials briefed on the proposal. In a statement, the EPA confirmed the standards are designed to incentivize consumers to purchase electric vehicles (EV).
"Already, President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is powering a domestic clean energy manufacturing boom, lowering costs for American families, and creating good-paying union jobs," the EPA told Fox News Digital.

There’s no better springtime tradition in the South than the Masters. It’s an immense privilege to attend the golf tournament in Augusta, Ga., and I can attest to the fact that if you get to visit, it’s an unforgettable experience.
It’s an even bigger privilege to receive an invitation to play at the Masters — especially if you’re not a professional golfer. Just ask Scott Stallings.
Stallings, a realtor from Atlanta, shares a name with professional golfer Scott Stallings. He’s been aware of the golfer who shares his name for a few years now.

Victor Davis Hanson joined Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night to react to New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of former President Donald Trump. Hanson characterized it as “the worst example of third-world election tampering” and said, “We are in the middle of a revolution that we don’t even know we’re in.” (Snip) The fundamental transformation of America promised to us by then-candidate Barack Obama just days ahead of the 2008 presidential election has come to pass.

The root of all nation-destroying evil is the megalomaniacal abuse of power. In the United States of 2023, no two people personify that more than ninety-two-year-old George Soros and eighty-year-old Joe Biden, who are essentially working in tandem to destroy the United States as founded.
George Soros, despite being someone who saw first-hand the death and destruction wrought by a megalomaniac in World War II, has become one in his single-minded determination to be the man who reshaped the United States into a Marxist/socialist one-party nation and permanently uprooted the Judeo-Christian foundation of American society.
To achieve this end, Soros has deviously

As PJ Media’s Rick Moran reported, the Chicago mayoral runoff on April 4 went the way of the teachers unions, which drove a massive turnout campaign for their anointed radical candidate:
"The Chicago Teachers Union rode a massive turnout of its members and spent millions of dollars in union dues to win Chicago’s mayoral runoff. (Snip) The only quibble one might have with Rick’s article is that the State of Oregon has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the teachers unions and SEIU since the turn of the century, so Chicago may not be able to lay claim to first-in-the-nation status. His conclusion is, however, spot on:

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio took the stand and testified in the federal trial of Prakazrel “Pras” Michel, founder of the hip hop band Fugees, and his alleged involvement in a money laundering scheme that included a huge — and illegal — donation to Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.
FACT-O-RAMA! Fugees are best known for their cover of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly With His Song.”
DiCaprio recalled a conversation with Malaysian financier Jho Low, who mentioned that he was looking to donate millions of dollars to the Obama campaign by giving the money to Michel and having him pass it to Obama’s people.

Amid all the excitement over the arrest of Donald Trump and the destruction of our republic, once again the public’s attention has been diverted away from just how badly the Biden regime is doing its job. Unless, of course, its primary job has been demonizing and destroying the possibility of political dissent in the United States, in which case it’s doing great. Americans are, nonetheless, noticing in large numbers that Old Joe Biden has been about as effective a president as Nancy Pelosi has been an effective spokesperson for sobriety. Biden, despite continuing to read off his teleprompter at every opportunity about what a terrific job he is doing,

Most people know that it’s dangerous to poke a bear because once aroused, the beast can be fearsome. Democrats are only beginning to realize that the same principle is starting to hold true for elephants of the GOP variety. After decades of passively adhering to gentlemanly standards (“our sacred norms”) ignored in practice by the donkeys, a critical mass of Republicans is move toward eye-for-an-eye style retribution and even beyond.

The Donald Trump indictment is our Late Roman Republic cirque du jour, and until now I’ve recused myself from writing about it. I had to wait for that one tiny detail to emerge, that one giant tell, so absurd that it required the special attention of the man who invented drunkblogging.
Only now, on Day Two of our accelerating descent into Total Banana Republic from Partly Banana Republic, has that absurdity come to light.
ASIDE: Yes, a tiny detail can be a giant tell. Have you never played poker?
To see that absurdity in all its slimy glory, we must venture now to the pages of POLITICO, the semi-official mouthpiece

My introduction to San Francisco came in the late 1970s, when I spent a lot of time there as a young lawyer. For a Midwestern guy, the San Francisco of that era was a revelation: great restaurants, famous hotels on Nob Hill, fog drifting in off the Bay. But today’s San Francisco is, sadly, something else.
The San Francisco Chronicle has a long, long article about the city’s demise: “Downtown S.F. on the brink: It’s worse than it looks.” And it looks really bad. The numbers are grim:
"Don’t be fooled. The downtown area, the city’s primary economic driver, is teetering on the edge, facing challenges greater than

The end of the Marxist-infiltrated Progressive Era isn’t happening with a whimper, but with bangs. In 2024, it’ll happen with convulsions, likely violent. What follows is up for grabs.
The foreshadowing occurred again in Nashville last week. Will the leftist-stoked and Democrat/establishment sanctioned 2020 riots prove merely a preview to a calamitous and pivotal 2024 presidential election year?
Six innocents -- three nine-year-olds, two teachers, and the school’s principal -- were gunned down in cold blood by a self-identified transgender, Audrey Hale. The act was demonic, though studiously papered over by the establishment
