This week there was what I consider to have been extensive unwarranted attention given to the murder trial in South Carolina of Alex Murdaugh. Unwarranted because it seems to me this is at best a matter of local or regional interest. In the end, those who followed it learned one important lesson for all the coverage they saw or read: Do not carry your cell phone around when engaged in murdering your wife and son because, if you do, you leave a digital footprint easier to trace than Hansel and Gretel’s breadcrumb trail. Alexis de Tocqueville long ago wrote of American’s fascination with courthouse trials, calling it “another theater.”

Why aren't the fascist far-left leaving the country they loathe?
People usually don't try to transform and then destroy that which they love, so why aren't they just leaving?
These days, the Babylon Bee has the range, and it's putting its rhetorical rounds right on target. Now it's just firing for effect, from a story about a man catching up on the latest news by reading two-year-old posts on a conspiracy blog to a satirical report from a few years ago about a group of leftists heading for the Socialist Paradise of Venezuela.
It brings up a point you might have been asking
On Sunday night, a group of over 100 domestic terrorists marched on the site of a public safety training center for the city of Atlanta that is under construction and firebombed portions of the site, including construction equipment and a police vehicle.
The thugs began their “protest” as a march and what they called a “music festival” on the site, but it quickly turned violent.

Gary Rossington, the Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist and the last surviving original member of the band, has died at the age of 71.
No cause of death was given for Rossington, who died on Sunday, nearly four months before the band was set to embark on their next tour.
The guitarist had been dealing with health issues for decades, including a heart attack in 2015 and emergency heart surgery in 2021.
In an official statement, Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote: “It is with our deepest sympathy and sadness that we have to advise, that we lost our brother, friend, family member, songwriter and guitarist, Gary Rossington, today.
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant apologized via his representation Saturday after posting a video of himself earlier in the day, appearing to hold a gun.
“I take full responsibility for my actions last night,” the statement read. “I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”
The NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies had already announced earlier Saturday Ja Morant would “be away from the team for at least the next two games,” after the Instagram Live post.

Joe Biden will almost certainly not attend the coronation of King Charles III. The official reason is that he is making a trip to Ireland that simply can’t be canceled. The media have focused on two reasons he won’t be there: (1) Eisenhower didn’t attend so there’s no tradition for presidents to attend, and (2) Biden hates the British. I think there are two more likely reasons: (1) Charles III’s coronation is an event without cachet, and (2) it’s impossible for Biden to withstand the rigors of the long coronation ceremony and any pre- and post-ceremony events. Indeed, my money is on the last reason being the real reason.

This giant poster is causing considerable comment.” The poster was a plea for Churchill’s leadership. He was finally summoned to serve as Prime Minister upon Neville Chamberlain resignation on May 10, 1940. Churchill recalled in his history of the war: “I felt as if I were walking with destiny, and that all my past life had been but a preparation for this hour and for this trial.”
By contrast, President Biden is something of a wrecking ball.

Walmart has announced it is permanently closing all of its locations in Portland months after its CEO warned of a historic rise in theft at its stores.
The locations, located at the Delta Park and Eastport Plaza shopping centers in North and Southeast Portland, will shutter Friday, March 24, the retail colossus revealed in a statement this week.

In December 2022, The Gateway Pundit reported on five Antifa members who were arrested and held on terrorism charges after protesting outside of a $90 Million police training center near Atlanta, Georgia.
