For as much as politicians love the clever soundbites they spew to the salivating press, it is downright amazing how they forget that the internet is forever the moment they deliver them.
Take former South Carolina Governor and ex-United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, who is expected to officially announce her bid for the White House on Feb. 15.
It’s a move Newsmax host Greg Kelly called a “big, big, big mistake” given her previous remarks. (Video)“This is Nikki Haley and she thinks she can be president,” Kelly began.
“Wow big, big, big mistake,” he said. “I mean, these career politicians, right? They really stand for nothing,

President Joe Biden extended an olive branch to Speaker Kevin McCarthy at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, sitting next to him at the event for Democrats and Republicans.
Biden, who is facing investigations from GOP lawmakers who are targeting his administration and his son Hunter, also implored the members of Congress to treat each other with respect, saying he and the speaker would model that behavior.
His comments came after he met with McCarthy at the White House on Wednesday to discuss a way to raise the nation's debt ceiling.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and at least three other House members paid thousands in advertising costs to a Chinese newspaper classified by the Justice Department as a foreign agent.
It comes as tensions are reaching all-time-highs between Washington and Beijing as the new GOP-controlled House zeros-in on addressing competition and the rising threat from China.
Ocasio-Cortez's campaign for reelection in her New York district spent nearly $1,500 on advertising with Sing Tao Newspapers during the 2022 midterms, a Fox News Digital review of campaign finance records reveals.

Last week, the great Matt Taibbi revealed that a shadowy group called “Hamilton 68” had been accusing anyone and anything they don’t like of being, or being influenced by, a Russian bot.
“Instead of tracking how ‘Russia’ influenced American attitudes,” Taibbi notes, “Hamilton 68 simply collected a handful of mostly real, mostly American accounts, and described their organic conversations as Russian scheming.”
Simply in terms of volume, Taibbi estimates that Hamilton 68 “may go down as the single greatest case of media fabulism in American history.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has reportedly pulled dissenter Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) from the important Commerce Committee, which could be interpreted as retaliation for challenging his leadership bid.
Further lending credibility to the retaliation theory, McConnell also pulled Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) from the Commerce Committee. Lee supported Scott’s bid to oust McConnell at the time.
“People told me not to run for Republican Leader against Mitch McConnell. They said I wouldn’t win. I knew it was going to be hard. But we’ve got to start somewhere,” Scott said in an ad released in early January.

Whether intending to or not, billionaire Elon Musk has demonstrated a superb talent when it comes to triggering leftists and after a quick stop in Washington, D.C. to meet with leaders from the House majority regarding upcoming hearings, whining Democrats suggested he “come in and explain himself.”
The fact that Musk visited the Capitol last week is no surprise. In fact, the entrepreneur presented the trip as a bipartisan engagement when he tweeted Thursday that he spent time with both House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) “Just met with @SpeakerMcCarthy & @RepJeffries to discuss ensuring that this platform is fair to both parties.”

Hunter Biden is going on the offense with his lawyers now asking the Justice Department to investigate former President Donald Trump's allies, who peddled his laptop's hard drive to media outlets in the run-up to the 2020 election.
The first son's lawyer Abbe Lowell asked the DOJ to probe former Trump strategist Steve Bannon, campaign lawyer and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Giuliani's lawyer and the owner of the Wilmington computer repair shop, John Paul Mac Isaac, who obtained the laptop in April 2019.

Former Fox News host Chris Wallace recently suffered some of his worst ratings since leaving the network to join the CNN roster.
According to the latest data from Nielsen, Chris Wallace and his show Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace had an abysmal first month of 2023 – the worst since his show launched in spring 2022. In January, he pulled in an average of 365,000 viewers, performing even worse in the much-ballyhooed 25-54 demographic with an average of 48,000 viewers. As John Nolte of Breitbart News recently noted, Wallace’s rating collapse comes after CNN hit a nine-year low:

The FBI issued the “all clear” on its latest search of one of President Biden’s residences. The announcement came with the first day of special counsel Robert Hur on the job at the Justice Department.
Hur may find that the Biden legal team feels that “all clear” extends beyond the latest search. It could be challenging to make a criminal case after how the investigation has been handled.
At every stage, the FBI has adopted an approach that would compromise or complicate any criminal charge.
The FBI left the home untouched for over three months after classified documents were found in Biden’s former office in DC.

The Wagner Private Military Company reportedly posted a video aimed at recruiting U.S. veterans to join the Russian cause in the war against Ukraine, where Wagner mercenaries are fighting alongside Russian soldiers.
In the video, posted on the Telegram social media platform by an account called “@Belyshum,” and reposted by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), a heavily accented voiceover argues that America has abandoned its founding ideals, and that only Russia stands for the fight against evil worldwide.

House Republicans will target their investigatory machinery at Joe Biden's family just hours after the president delivers his State of the Union speech before a joint meeting of Congress next week.
The hearing, which will focus on Twitter suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story, is part of a wide-ranging probe that House Oversight panel chair Rep. James Comer has promised to probe alleged Biden family 'influence peddling.'
The investigation comes just as Biden tries to rally the nation with an applause-designed speech on prime time TV – hoping to sell his agenda

Exclusive -The new weaponization of government panel is "absolutely" prepared to issue subpoenas to expose "corruption" in federal agencies as it launches a range of investigations, including into the Department of Justice 's efforts to criminalize protesters at school board meetings, according to the House GOP conference chairwoman.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), a newly appointed member to the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, said Republicans will demand transparency from the Biden administration and will use the power of the majority to compel documents and testimony.
“Absolutely," Stefanik told the Washington Examiner
