The Baleful Cargo of Woke Diversity Worship

What do all our notable fabricators—George Santos, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Barack Obama—have in common? Well, quite like the Ward ChurchilIs or Rachel Dolezals of the world, one way or another, they lied about their identities. Or they sought fraudulent ways of suggesting their ancestries were marginalized. Or they had claims on being victims on the theory their constructed personas brought career advantages. George Santos claimed, apparently in search of a victimized status, that he was an “American Jew” and a “Latino Jew,” and a descendent of Holocaust survivors. Joe Biden lied that he went to “shul” as well

Look him up #1, he's a republican that lied that he was a jew when he happens to be a catholic among several other lies he told about himself. He recently won election to congress. ---Another spot on and excellent article by Victor Davis Hanson.

VDH is always spot on. Walking mornings in Clearwater, I wear my "Buck Fiden" hats and "Vets for Trump 2020" shirts. The same when getting haircuts, shopping at Costco, Publix, or visiting Doctors. I'm looking for responses, but I'm getting too darn few thumps-up! Way too few people realize what this traitorous little creep is intentionally doing to America. Hanson knows it. Obidin needs to be stopped.

Can't argue with VDH regarding this article. Watch woke society and humanity and you come to a grim realization that it has become corrupt and suicidal. Sometimes all you can do is step back, watch the trainwreck, and not get caught up in the carnage. None of this ends well.

When we abandoned God, we abandoned Truth. The first Communist attack against our American way of life was the removal of the Bible from our public schools in 1963; coincidentally the same year that the CIA killed President Kennedy. Then in 1964 President Johnson ushered in his "Great Society" of welfare that removed father's from the home. In 1967 a non-governmental organization, the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, began drafting a model of no-fault divorce laws for states to consider. California was the first state to adopt such a law in 1969. Then in 1973, the Supreme Court found permutations of penumbras that gave women the "right" to murder babies in the womb. In the background the radicals were rioting on Ivy League university campuses and outside political conventions, while blacks were burning down the inner-cities. For those that blame all our societal ills on the Baby Boomer generation, please note these dates. We were children and barely young adults. We did not pass these society shattering laws; we were their first victims. Be that as it may, all the rot goes back to that first denial of God in 1963 when the daily reading of a Bible verse was taken out of public education. Therefore, the solution is to bring God back into the daily life of Americans. The evangelization must start with those of us who are "churched"; joyfully invite your family and friends to join you in worship. Adopt the habit of daily prayer and Scripture meditation. Pray and fast in reparation for our nation's sins, and have faith in God's mercy. We are facing evil on a world-wide scale, it will be defeated only by a Godly people.

Scripture to be writ large across our national banner: '' Illegal immigration is not a noble endeavor but a crime against its host.'' How is it that so few of us know this truth?

For most of us, the wokeism ends outside the city limits where people are not afraid to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights or similar rights to use self-defense. Bring your stupid game to flyover country and your body will not receive the usual formal burial.

It is clear that Republicans in Congress are upset. They have every right to be. But it’s McConnell, not McCarthy! Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) just conspired with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to pass a Frankenstein Monster piece of legislation that is among the ugliest, the thorniest, the longest and the most destructive bills ever devised by the Washington politicians who have proven again that they don’t give a damn about anything but their own careers. Could McConnell have been so focused on this $1.7 trillion boondoggle that he forgot the Republicans are moving into the House majority position?

Florida Rep.-elect Matt Gaetz said he would resign from Congress should moderate Democrats strike a deal with Republicans to elect a "moderate" House speaker. Appearing on "The Ingraham Angle," the Republican said Thursday night that he was sure that would not happen. "Will you be OK then if there’s ultimately a deal struck with moderate Democrats that [gives] Democrats kind of co-control of the committees, you’re fine with that?" host Laura Ingraham asked. "No, absolutely not. That will not happen," he quickly replied. "Well, that could happen," Ingraham interjected.

After 11 votes in three days that went nowhere, signs emerged Thursday night that Kevin McCarthy may finally have a viable path to becoming the next House speaker. It won’t be easy, automatic or immediate, according to House lawmakers who themselves were processing the information in real time as details of the deal emerged. But a written framework for rules in the 118th Congress was released on Thursday that McCarthy's allies hope will allow many of the GOP lawmakers who have been voting against McCarthy all week to eventually support him.

The battle for the next Speaker of the House has been going on for weeks. By the time you are reading this, that battle may very well be over. Or it may not, as history has shown that contentious Speaker elections do not always end quickly. Regardless, we would do well to look past the daily headlines in this fight and dig into the deeper meaning of the issue. As Mark Meadows said in a recent interview when asked why he made the unpopular decision to take on Speaker John Boehner, a decision that led to Boehner resigning as Speaker of the House in 2015

Two contrasting realities of the present-day Republican Party were on display on Tuesday. In the House of Representatives, 20 members of the GOP's so-called chaos caucus blocked the efforts of 202 fellow Republicans to elect Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as speaker. The move led to a once-in-a-century standoff that paralyzed the House. Members cannot be sworn in, committees cannot be formed, and lawmakers cannot do any work until the deadlock is broken, whenever that might be. Meanwhile, in Tallahassee, newly reelected Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) took the oath of office for a second term with a ringing statement of accomplishment and ambition that could well be the foundation of

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan got it exactly right in his speech re-nominating Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House ahead of the second ballot Tuesday afternoon: The voters gave the Republican majority a clear mandate, and honoring that should be the top priority of every GOP member. “To my friends here on this side of the aisle, I would just say this. The differences we may have . . . pale in comparison to the differences between us and the left, which now unfortunately controls the other party,” the Ohioan thundered. “So we had better come together and fight for these key things.”

On election night, I was half-watching Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s victory remarks when something quite extraordinary and encouraging caught my attention. DeSantis evoked Churchill’s “fighting on the beaches” speech, in which Churchill stirred the resolve and patriotism of the British people in anticipation of the invasion of their homeland by the Nazis. DeSantis, of course, was not warning against Nazism: he was warning against wokeism, which he was implicitly equating with Nazism. I had never heard a national political figure treat wokeism with such (deserved) gravity.

Every app on your iPhone comes with a certain set of permissions depending on what the app is used for. For example, Instagram will ask permission to access your camera and photos app so you can take and post pictures, while WhatsApp will ask for access to your microphone to send voice notes. Some apps take it further asking for your "precise" location. It's imperative to know what exactly they're asking you for. What's the difference between precise and approximate location? Apps within Apple devices have two different location options that they might ask permission for. One is your approximate location, which just gives an app a general area where you're located

Even to a jaded journalist, the New Year inspires hope that anything is possible. In that spirit, here are my three wishes for 2023. No. 1 is Joe Biden announcing he won’t seek re-election. It would be the first thing he’s done to fulfill his pledge to unite the nation, with a decision to retire worthy of bipartisan celebration. Biden is a bumbler, and always was, even before cognitive decline turned his appearances into spectacles. The big achievement of his tenure has been to prove the wisdom of two warnings about him.

Social Security numbers belonging to at least three members of Trump's cabinet, a few Republican governors, and several Trump associates were reportedly compromised. (snip) America is the only nation where people politick to make its long-dead slave past the center of its history. As a historical matter, it makes little sense when compared to the slave sins of other nations. America received 3-5% of the slaves sold in the Atlantic trade. Over 90% were sold in the Caribbean and South America.
