The current “media”—loosely defined as the old major newspapers like the New York Times and Washington Post, the network news channels, MSNBC and CNN, PBS and NPR, the online news aggregators like Google, Apple, and Yahoo, and the social media giants like the old Twitter and Facebook—are corrupt. They have adopted in their news coverage a utilitarian view that noble progressive ends justify almost any unethical means to obtain them. The media is unapologetically fused with the Democratic Party, the bicoastal liberal elite, and the progressive agenda.
"Absolute power corrupts absolutely!"

Once again, a conservative intellectual uses 1000 words to tell us everything we already know.
We no longer need this information and it is no longer "news". What is sorely needed is a useful solution.
Time for Captain Obvious to move to the next level.

There's so much money in the hands of the few that they can buy the media, use drones to run it at a loss and push their agenda to keep the corny capitalism money coming in.

nice try at trolling, philsner, but we all need an occassional recap to refresh our memories of the left's malfeasance. As VDC notes, the media suppresses and memory holes information unfavorable to their agenda. This is an article recapping events of which most Americans are oblivious because of biased reporting; It is not confirmation bias but facts(truth mx bidet?) which should be widely shared with the willfully ignorant.
BTW - I have relatives who insist that five (5!) Capitol police were murdered on 1/6/21 and GHW Bush flew a SR71 to Paris to arrange for the Iranian hostage release in 1980.

The headline reads like a line in a Shakespeare play. The only thing missing is the line, Let me count the ways.

We are about to find out just how corrupt the media really is. If they continue to fly with the "Hunter Laptop is Russian Disinformation" story, and the truth circles around them like a storm, they will continue to lose altitude and crash into the mountaintop.

The old media could not exist without constant under-the-table funding by both the democrat party and leftist billionaires. Multiple layoffs do not occur in a thriving and honest business. Their subscriber base and advertising support have fallen off so badly that they can't possibly be operating honestly. They have no choice but to lie for the people who feed them. Fortunately they are not very good at that for which they are being paid.

They do not make the assumption that you are dumb as a box of rocks as our Major Media does. Have not watched for years, but, occasionally see excerpts - never enlightened by what I hear or see.

Anyone remember William Randolph Hearst? Over a century ago, before radio, TV, cable and the internet, his chain of 30 major city newspapers were a major source of "news" for the public. Eventually he expanded into magazines.
WRH made a fortune on crime, corruption, sex, and innuendo, running stories that focused on emotion rather than objective facts. He was the Father of Yellow Journalism, famously (mythically) telling a reporter in Cuba, "You furnish the pictures and I'll furnish the war." Hearst was also a Democrat, son of a US Senator and a Congressman himself, champion of "the working class."
What's new? Is the public any smarter, less susceptible to emotional appeals and propaganda? Today those appeals mainly take the form of fear porn...from COVIDS to climate change and a score of other "concerns."

#5, if saying what I think is trolling, so be it. Your memory might be weak, but no one else's is.

So corrupt it can enable an administrative coup d’etat.
Thank you poster, “Californian” for pinning the term, administrative coup d’etat. It is a perfect description of what we have experienced.

And yet, too many weak-minded Americans continue to consume the msm's so-called news products. It has become an addiction.

VDH has compiled a compelling and fairly complete catalog of all the criminal BS we've had to navigate these past 6 years.
Leftists never, ever give up. That's one thing you can count on with corrupt vermin like hardcore leftists. Their life's work is destroying their political opponents so that their socialist Nirvana can be achieved.
This struggle will never end.

Demedia is now like the boy who cried wolf.
Thus when it's important to their survival no one will believe them & the wolf will consume them.

It would be wise for the media to remember that to sell their narratives...they must have readers...and I'm not seeing an increase in their circulation...and the viewership on the television seems to be dropping like a stone...the ruling elite can only rule with power and control...and it seems Americans are figuring out just what's going on and has been going on for decades...and WE are moving away from Washington's dictates and rules to embrace an American agenda that President Trump set out for US....go 2024!!
