House Republicans announced Thursday that they are launching an investigation that will focus on President Biden himself and any illicit or unethical financial ties he had to his son Hunter's overseas dealings.
Now Joe Biden and his family are facing an onslaught of subpoenas from the House majority members, who say they know where the proverbial bodies are buried.
James Comer, the GOP ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, will have the power to issue legally-backed demands for documents, information and testimony once the 188th Congress begins on January 3.
The congressman laid out his plans to use that power to go after the Bidens for

The American Bar Association voted to drop the LSAT and other standardized tests as requirements for law school admissions.
An ABA panel made its decision on Friday after noon after a committee recommended the testing requirements be scrapped because they hurt diversity in admissions.

The ABA's ruling will take effect in the fall 2025 semester, after a final determination from the association's Hose of Delegates in February.

In a letter to White House Chief of Staff and Assistant to the President Ron Klain on Friday, House Republicans set to take control of the Judiciary Committee put a handful of President Joe Biden's senior aides on notice that they would be the subject of Republican oversight and expected to comply with requests for information and testimony.
In their letter, Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Ken Buck (R-CO), Steve Chabot (R-OH), Darrell Issa (R-CA), and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) explain they are, "again," looking "to obtain your voluntary compliance with the outstanding requests for documents and information necessary for our oversight" in the 118th Congress.

An electric car sold by Elon Musk’s Tesla burst into flames on a Pennsylvania highway on Tuesday after a large piece of debris became lodged underneath it. The car fire ended up reducing the electric vehicle to a pile of scrap metal and ash. Luckily the car’s owners and their dog escaped unscathed.
Pennsylvania state police said the Tesla was traveling west on the highway when it caught fire, according to a report by WTAJ, which added that one lane ended up being restricted for some time as crews put out the fire.

Tony Bobulinski, an ex-business partner of Hunter Biden, was highly supportive of the announcement Thursday by the incoming chairs of the House Oversight Committee and Judiciary Committee that they will be pursuing legitimate concerns about President Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s dubious business dealings.
A relieved Bobulinski said during a Fox News Patriot Awards interview that Americans will no longer have to “take my word for it” that Joe Biden was involved in his son’s overseas business dealings.
“Hunter Biden, in his own words, [has said] he is putting his entire family’s family legacy on the line to do business with the Chinese Communist Party [via] CEFC,”

The double-standard is atrocious. The Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) evening newscasts have almost completely buried Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock’s child support scandal, spending only 11 seconds on it since September 1.
In stark contrast, the network evening newscasts (September 1 - November 16) flooded their airwaves (36 minutes, 21 seconds) with stories of women accusing his GOP opponent Herschel Walker of paying for abortions. That’s almost 200 times more coverage to the Walker story than the Warnock scandal.

Gun sales more than doubled in Oregon with Ballot Measure 114 (BM 114) pending, and Oregon State Police are struggling to keep up with the demand for background checks.
KDRV reports that BM 114 passed by a margin of 50.9 percent to 49.1 percent, and will take effect December 8, 2022.
In the weeks leading up to the November 8 elections, Breitbart News pointed to a Bearing Arms report that BM 114 was being bankrolled by out-of-state money. The measure requires a permit, which costs $65, to purchase a gun. It also bans “high capacity” magazines and requires law enforcement to maintain a database of gun permit applicants, among other things.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) told reporters Thursday that he skipped House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) leadership retirement speech because he “had meetings.”
McCarthy, who is in line to replace Pelosi as House speaker, wasn’t the only Republican to miss the address. The Republican side of the lower chamber was largely empty during her farewell, according to reports.
“I had meetings, but normally, the others would do it during votes — I wish she could have done that, I could have been there,”
