DeSantis: 'I Have Only Begun to Fight'

Original Article

Another speech, another presidential-sounding declaration from Ron DeSantis. This isn’t getting old. On Election Day, at his victory party at the Tampa Convention Center, Governor Ron DeSantis celebrated with around 4,000 of his supporters as he cruised to a 19+ point victory for reelection over Republican-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist. In his speech, DeSantis gave yet another full-throated defense of liberty, freedom, taking on wokeism, and putting a stop to pandemic lockdowns. He gave several memorable lines, with Churchillian overtones, and a clear and repeated message to keep fighting, never give up, and never back down.

I would guess the unintelligible part is "and I have kept the faith". I believe that passage is from St Tonight's letter to the Ephesians. I finished my Valedictorian speech with the same quote. When I watched it I said that was his kickoff speech for his Presidential campaign. I hope more politicians, and well as ordinary people are encouraged by this speech to stiffen their spines against the DemoniKKKRat mob!

Trump fooled me twice, but in time the truth will always out. And that is that Trump is all about Trump. Period. He pushed out a real conservative from the PA senate race in order to endorse his sleazy billionaire friend, Dr. Oz. And Oz got his butt kicked. Now Trump is attacking one of the most successful, most popular Republicans in the country, Ron DeSantis, because he wants to eliminate rivals in his next presidential run. Trump loyalists will support him no matter how glaring his narcissism, no matter how selfish his motives, no matter how out of control his mouth. But the failure of Republicans to achieve a red wave is largely because Trump remains the figurehead of the party and his presence is increasingly toxic. DeSantis is the hope of the party. If you want to lose in 2024, keep supporting Trump. If you want to win, turn your support to DeSantis.

The TDS crowd has arrived! After Democrat blatantly cheating the last 2 elections and a long history of cheating we should believe suddenly that this was a clean election and it's all Trump's fault that the election was a wash with a terrible economy, the polls -all- saying repeatedly red wave was coming, and a low rated mental cripple in the White House. Yes I believe the TDS crowd and not my eyes. The lawsuits are already getting filed.

Ron DeSantis won because he has done a great job running his State. NO other reason. NO Bush Family Connections, No Funny Money sent to his campaign, just a Governor doing a great job and being rewarded for it. I will say it again. Do not tear down Gov DeSantis because you think he will challenge Trump in 24. If he does, let the best man win! Otherwise, we're going to have a Democrat win in 2024! We don't need to help the Democrats tear apart our candidates!

Do not overlook the fact that ANY Republican nominated will be attacked by the democrats nonstop as the devil personified. It does not matter if Jesus is nominated. If you are making your choice of a candidate based on someone who will receive democrat approval, you can forget it.

#8, yes, we all know that DeSantis (or really any GOP candidate) will be maligned, accused, dirty tricks thrown at him or her, but we have seen DeSantis fight back. He does so with FACTS, not name-calling, not empty accusations. IMHO, that is much more effective than Trump's method of dealing with opposition. He leads with competence and self-assurance. Trump is always a loose cannon. You can like the agenda and hate his demeanor.

I voted for DJT twice. Not because he was polished, but because he offered the right agenda. The country had a great 4 years while he was POTUS. Don't discount that. If he ran again I would do the same but I see he is damaged now and may not be our guy. As for people who have doubts about DeSantis, it's good to be wary of politicians, but would they have preferred '3 Time Charlie Crist' as FL governor again? You vote for what you're offered.

DeSantis may have been the only Republican who delivered last night. Trump needs to get his act straight for 2024 and show some discipline. 2020 is over. Move on. Stay on message. He delivered as President and look what the folks after him did. DeSantis is obviously the future of the Republicans. It may be in 2024, or in 2028. But it is coming. It's nice to have GOOD choices in the Republican ice cream shop. As opposed to our Democrat friends, who have to choose between liver and onion ice cream and brussels sprouts frozen yougurt (yuck!).

Check your Bibles. Go to 2nd Timothy 4:7. This is a letter written by St. Paul to his co-worker, Timothy, asking him to come to Rome quickly. Paul was fearful that he would be executed.

Shockingly the news breaks right after the midterm elections: the 2nd largest Democrat mega donor after George Soros turns out to be a total fraud. Call me cynical, but does it surprise anyone that the news hits just after all that money was spent on campaign ads, and not a day or two before? Do you think voters might like to know that $40 million of the money spent to influence their choices was stolen? Sam Bankman-Fried–a billionaire of whom I never heard before today– donated more than $40 million to Democrat candidates and super-PACs, including providing the initial funding for the Protect Our Future PAC. The Republican establishment is wrong to blame former President Donald Trump for losses in Tuesday’s midterm elections, Washington Times Opinion Editor Charlie Hurt said on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow. In a wide-ranging interview, much of discussion centered on former President Trump and his role in the midterms. Hurt said that Trump-backed candidates like Ohio’s new Senator-elect J.D. Vance and Florida’s Gov. Ron DeSantis were victorious because they ran strong campaigns on MAGA issues.

The news was initially reported by Platformer’s Zoe Schiffer and Casey Newton, and was confirmed to The Verge’s Alex Heath by two people familiar with the matter. The two executives resigned, according to Bloomberg’s Kurt Wagner, who later reported Wheeler’s change in plans. Both leaders had taken public-facing roles in these still-early days of Elon Musk’s Twitter ownership. Roth has repeatedly posted on Twitter to try and assuage user fears

While I’m not a huge fan of anyone suddenly losing their job as it’s one of the worst feelings in the world, there was something cathartic about watching the Twitter employees that had been censoring and suppressing anyone who remotely vexed them get the axe. Now that they’ve been stripped of their power and kicked to the streets, Twitter has been a lot more fun, interactive, and far less annoying. While others’ mileage may vary, Twitter is looking like an actual digital town square and not a place where the conversation is controlled by people who have no business being in control.

In Shakespeare’s All’s Well that Ends Well, one character observes, “Oft expectation fails and most oft there where most it promises.” And so it was for Republicans on Tuesday night. What was projected to be a “red wave” or a “red tsunami” became—at best—a red trickle. By almost any standard, the midterms proved disappointing for Republicans. In battleground House races across the country, Republican candidates faltered. The GOP looks likely to pick up only a handful of House seats; while narrow House control seems in sight, the door has closed on a 2014-size majority. The Senate may prove even more of a disappointment.

An old proverb says that the dogs bark, but the caravan goes on. In an updated version, Donald Trump plays the noisy dog as Ron DeSantis marches to victory. The Florida governor won a smashing blowout Tuesday by routing Democrat Charlie Crist by nearly 19 points, a margin that no poll predicted. He followed that with a raucous speech that was both a celebration and a skillfully worded test of national themes as he declared, “Florida is where woke goes to die.” And, likely referring to the fact that he won Miami-Dade County, a longtime Democratic stronghold that is 70% Latino, by double digits, DeSantis declared,

Donald Trump is continuing to treat Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis like a political enemy. On Wednesday, Trump pooh-poohed DeSantis’s huge and historic victory by insisting that his 2020 win in Florida was bigger. “Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million?
