President Joe Biden has had a rough week, getting fact-checked by Twitter, delivering angry speeches while avoiding battleground states, and being forced to “moonwalk” away from his ludicrous claim that he would close coal plants all over the country. On Saturday, he was at it again, saying in a speech in Joliet, Illinois that protesters lacked mental acuity.
He was apparently triggered by the demonstrators outside the event who carried signs reading “Socialism Sucks,” “Vote Pro-Life,” and “Where’s Nancy.” His response: (Tweet/Video) I love those signs when I came in. Socialism.
Give me a break, what idiots.

In preparation for upcoming Tuesday’s midterm election, the National Guard will be activating cybersecurity teams in 14 states to assist in keeping election authorities’ networks secure from cyber attacks and from any malicious activities, Politico reported.
“The move is part of a wider effort to ensure the midterms are secure from cybersecurity threats, which have loomed large in recent years since Russian interference operations in 2016,” the outlet added.
During a press conference on Friday, Washington Air National Guard Brig. Gen. Gent Welsh said, “One of the things making a lot of this possible are states that’ve just decided to do it.”

Outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) endorsed Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) over her Republican challenger, Yesli Vega, just days before the midterm election.
Spanberger is a far-left Democrat running against Vega, former President Donald Trump’s choice to represent Virginia’s seventh congressional district.
“We don’t agree on every policy, but I am absolutely certain that Abigail is dedicated to serving this country and her constituents and defending our Constitution,” Cheney told the Washington Post. She accused Vega of “promoting conspiracy theories, denying election outcomes she disagrees with, and defending the indefensible.”

Progressive policies funded and foisted on the Big Apple by Gov. Hochul and her left-wing allies have caused a legion of drug-addicted zombies to descend on East Harlem and transform parts of the neighborhood into lawless, open-air shooting galleries, neighbors and critics told The Post.
The real-life horror show plays out daily in the neighborhood’s gritty streets where The Post witnessed dozens of raving, hunched-over junkies commandeering East 126th Street — now the home of a controversial public-injection site — as drug dealers hovered nearby like vultures.

I remember my reaction when I was first presented with an opportunity to go to space. I said: 'No.' I turned it down not for lack of curiosity, or because I was afraid. Well, I was afraid, but that wasn't my primary reason. I turned it down because I'm an actor, not an astronaut.
Captain Kirk, the role I'd played in the original 1960s Star Trek series and, later, on the big screen, was a spacefaring hero.
But I was a real-life 90-year-old relying on the help of Medicare – the American health system for the elderly and poor.
'Bill,' said a friend in TV, 'they're going to send civilians up into space.

A rally for Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D), featuring former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden, failed to fill the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, videos posted from the event reveal.
Just days from the highly-contested Pennsylvania Senate election, where Fetterman is facing Republican Mehmet Oz, Obama and Biden were unable to fill the 10,000-seat Liacouras Center in deep blue Philadelphia — echoing a lack of enthusiasm among Democrats this cycle.
Videos posted online from the rally showed entirely empty upper sections as well as empty seats in lower sections that organizers sought to fill:

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) is hopeful that Rep. Lee Zeldin (R) will beat Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) on Tuesday so that he can advance his initiatives on crime and public safety, the New York Post reported.
Although Adams has publicly endorsed and campaigned for Gov. Hochul, three anonymous sources who allegedly have longtime ties to Adams and the New York City Council told the Post that Adams would see more of an opportunity to address crime within New York City if Zeldin were elected governor on Tuesday.
A longtime Democrat with ties to Adams told the Post that “Zeldin would give [Adams] more free rein

Oregon Republican Alek Skarlatos, a U.S. Army National Guard veteran running in the state’s fourth congressional district, told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview that Republicans are “surging” across the state after Democrats have failed there with 40-plus years in power.
An RRH Elections poll found that the race for Oregon’s fourth congressional district is tied at 45 percent each between Skarlatos and Democrat Val Hoyle.
Other polls found that Oregon Republican gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan leads slightly against Democrat Tina Kotek.
Skarlatos said that the Republican strength across statewide races in Oregon is a rejection of roughly 48 years of Democrat control

The appearance in Arizona of former President Barack Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder might signal that Democrats are scraping the bottom of the barre, as they try to rescue the gubernatorial candidacy of Katie Hobbs. Many consider Holder to be unwelcome in the state which has been prosecuting criminals for ten years pursuant to a scandal he oversaw.
The following summary of Holder’s visit is on the candidate’s official election website:
“Arizona Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for governor Katie Hobbs, alongside former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, hosted a press conference with local African American leaders.

Oprah Winfrey may be offering endorsements for “brand management,” but with a legendary reputation that spawned its own style of jokes, Chuck Norris’ picks for the midterms left some suggesting he “commanded…this is how it’s going to be.”
United States Air Force Veteran, martial artist, actor and author, Norris’ storied career took on a life of its own with amusing claims like, “Death once had a near-Chuck Norris experience” and “COVID quarantined after coming in contact with Chuck Norris.” On Monday, he used his considerable mythos and conservative values to back Republican candidates across the country, including Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters.

President Joe Biden responded to criticism from centrist Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) on Saturday, who denounced the president for being “divorced from reality” after suggesting he would shut down coal plants nationwide.
“The President’s remarks yesterday have been twisted to suggest a meaning that was not intended; he regrets it if anyone hearing these remarks took offense,” said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in a statement.
“The President was commenting on a fact of economics and technology: as it has been from its earliest days as an energy superpower, America is once again in the midst of an energy transition.
