Gavin Newsom: 'I Worry About Ron DeSantis'

Original Article

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said he worries about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), asserting that the Sunshine State’s leader is a “bully.” Newsom traveled to Texas — notably one of the states subject to California’s ban on “state-funded and state-sponsored travel” — over the weekend, speaking at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin where he further expressed his newfound obsession with disliking DeSantis. “I worry about Trump.  [I] worry about Trumpism. I worry more about Tucker Carlson. I worry about Ron DeSantis. He’s a bully,” Newsom said, attempting to provide an example of such abominable behavior.

Bully? DeSantis is one of the few Governors that protected individual liberty, contrasted with Newson, who mandates everything in the State of California, the no energy, no cars, no washing machines or dishwashers, no meat, no in person schools, mandatory vaccines, confiscatory taxes. Why are people leaving the state? Newsom & Co. And Big Tech, having become rich, takes over everyone's liberty, totally illegal, but the Democrat Party way.

Newsom is worried about DeSantis because DeSantis exposes what a total failure Newsom and his policies are. Any side by side comparison of the two leaves Newsom clearly losing. Newsom should worry.

The Founding Fathers displayed genius when theyincluded, in the constitution, a mechanism to add States ro our country. The deficit in their work was the failure to include a mechanism to expel States. Expelling the southern half of California, all or Oregon and Washington would be great.

I guess Governor Gruesome wasn't a bully when he locked down the state for Covid and fired unvaxed government and hospital workers, even while he dined unmasked at the French Laundry Restaurant. And telling Californians they can no longer buy gasoline engines in cars, lawn mowers, ski mobiles, and water skis isn't bullying behavior either.

Gavin "The Breck Girl 2.0" Nuisance should worry about the "bully' Governor Ron DeSantis. Because of two reasons. One, the state of Florida is in the Black on every metric and people are coming into the state in droves. While California is so far in the red the blue state is turning purple. Also it's people are leaving for states like AZ, TX, NC, WI and you guessed it FL. Two, if it came down to a debate between the two DeSantis would beat the Schiff out of him hands down.

The United States Senate passed a short-term government funding bill on Thursday after over two dozen Republicans crossed party lines to avert a shutdown. In an 72-25 vote, the Senate passed a funding measure meant to keep the government afloat until December 16. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the more than two-month extension would allow lawmakers from both sides of the aisle one last chance at negotiating a year-long budget deal before the new Congress takes office in January. "Let's hope this is the last [stop gap], they do so we get an omnibus [budget] done in December," said Schumer, D-N.Y.

Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, and South Carolina joined together to file a lawsuit against the Biden administration on Thursday in an attempt to stop the president’s announced student loan-forgiveness program from taking effect. “In addition to being economically unwise and downright unfair, the Biden Administration’s Mass Debt Cancellation is yet another example in a long line of unlawful regulatory actions,” argued the plaintiffs in their filing. The administration has said that it will wipe out up to $10,000 in loans for borrowers making under $125,000 per year, and up to $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients who meet that criteria. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris amply illustrated this Thursday when she ended her four-day trip to Asia with a journey to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) dividing the Korean Peninsula. During the stop she confused onlooks by asserting the United States has a “strong alliance” with “the Republic of North Korea.” “It is an alliance that is strong and enduring,” she added, intending to refer to the Republic of Korea, which is South Korea’s official name. We’ve been writing about Hurricane Ian bearing down on Florida and now we’re seeing some videos of how bad it’s getting down there. As we reported earlier, a camera from The Weather Channel in Ft. Myers, Florida, was completely submerged underwater despite it being positioned six-feet high. That was happening all over the area, as the water from the storm surge flooded in. It’s up to the roofs in some areas of Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. It reminds me of pictures of tsunamis. Let’s hope that people got out of there because reports are that it’s wild there.

Nothing tests the mettle of a governor like a natural disaster, with hurricanes being among the worst. Emergency efforts include everything from rescue and recovery of victims, to restoration of power, to distribution of needed supplies, to rebuilding cities affected by the storm. Hurricane Ian, a massive Category 4 storm, made landfall in Florida on Wednesday afternoon, but the worst may be yet to come with storm surges, massive power outages that could last for days, and major rainfall expected. During a press conference on Wednesday evening, Gov. Ron DeSantis warned that Floridians are still “in a very hazardous situation.” But he assured residents that the state
