Rep. Charlie Crist, who is once again the Democratic gubernatorial nominee in Florida, has had quite the week since winning Tuesday night's primary. As Spencer covered, on Wednesday he had his own "basket of deplorables" moment, saying he didn't want votes from Gov. Ron DeSantis' supporters. Then on Friday it was revealed he was going to choose Karla Hernández-Mats as his running mate, the president of United Teachers of Dade. According to John Kennedy with the Tallahassee Democrat, she heads the largest teachers union in the Southeast.

The exposition of the FBI’s behavior in the month of August has been something to behold. More recently, we learned that the FBI went to Facebook during the 2020 election and indicated that the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation. In reality, the bureau had known since 2019 that the story was real because they themselves were in possession of the laptop. Prior to that, the big story has been the raid of Donald Trump’s Florida home, which has led to numerous court clashes as the government has sought to keep the details secret. On Friday, the affidavit was released, much to the chagrin of the powers that be. What it revealed

Two Florida residents pleaded guilty Thursday to stealing Ashley Biden’s diary and conspiring to transport it across state lines, according to the Department of Justice.
Aimee Harris and Jonathan Kurlander stole Biden’s diary in September 2020 from a Florida residence that had been formerly occupied by Biden. The pair first tried to pawn the stolen goods off on the Trump campaign, but were rebuffed. They ended up bringing the purloined diary to New York, where they sold it to Project Veritas for $40,000.

It took a while, but after the Dobbs decision, Democrats overtook Republicans in the RealClearPolitics average for the 2022 generic ballot. For sure, Democrats felt that the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade was the political lifeline they needed to stave off a red wave in November. But their lead in the generic ballot was small and, as expected, didn’t last long. Democrats had erased the GOP edge and managed to gain a 0.2-point lead in the generic ballot. But in the past ten days, the RCP average has swung back in favor of the Republicans,

FIRST ON FOX: A federal judge on Saturday announced her "preliminary intent to appoint a special master" to review records seized by the FBI during its unprecedented raid of his Mar-a-Lago home earlier this month, at the request of former President Trump and his legal team, citing the "exceptional circumstances."
Trump and his legal team filed a motion Monday evening seeking an independent review of the records seized by the FBI during its raid of Mar-a-Lago earlier this month, saying the decision to search his private residence just months before the 2022 midterm elections "involved political calculations aimed at diminishing the leading voice in the Republican Party, President Trump."

A federal district judge has shown her 'preliminary intent' to grant former President Donald Trump's request of having a special master go through documents agents seized at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge Eileen Cannon issued the preliminary order Saturday evening, just hours after the Justice Department released a redacted version of the affidavit that bolstered the search warrant that FBI agents carried out August 8.
That document provided new insight into the trove of classified documents that were stored at the former president's club,

When it comes to gauging the country’s economic health, the media usually focuses on indicators like gross domestic product (GDP). But those broad metrics don’t always capture people’s ability to meet their basic needs — food, clothing and shelter. Even though GDP has been declining for the last six months, the real alarm bell that should be ringing concerns the electorate’s inability to afford a place to live, something the discontented voter will not take lightly.
Since Joe Biden became president, prices have risen dramatically for clothing (7.3%) and food (13.7%), according to the Consumer Price Index. But those increases pale in comparison to how much home prices and rents

Democrats continue to have an edge in Miami-Dade, leading Republicans by 146,975 voters, but Republicans actually have the edge in Miami-Dade among Hispanic voters, specifically — a traditional target demographic of Democrats.
Miami-Dade is a traditionally blue county in the Sunshine State, home to many Hispanic voters who have roots fleeing communist regimes.
Although Florida went to former President Trump in the 2020 presidential election, Miami-Dade went the other way, voting reliably blue in the last presidential election. Miami-Dade voters cast 617,864 ballots for then-candidate Biden and 532,833 for then-President Donald Trump.

All year long we’ve talked about the “red wave” that’s coming. Buoyed by the Biden administration’s combination of incompetence and arrogance, Republican voters have been enthusiastic, and independents and some Democrats may move to the right as well.
The talk has centered around big gains for the GOP in the House and the Republicans even capturing the Senate. Polling has shown enthusiasm for much of the year, but something has happened as the summer marched on: Democrats have gained some momentum.
We’ve seen plenty of poormouthing in the past couple of weeks, even in conservative media, especially when it comes to some Senate candidates who have been portrayed as “bad” candidates.

A new model just published by the prestigious — and non-partisan — Penn-Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania shows that rather than the $300 billion number being thrown around by Democrats as the cost of the student debt bailout plan, the true cost is at least $519 billion for debt cancellation alone. And there are other factors to consider, making the total cost of the plan at least $605 billion and perhaps as much as $1 trillion.
President Biden’s new student loan forgiveness plan includes three major components. We estimate that debt cancellation alone will cost up to $519 billion,

As reported exclusively by Frontpage Magazine, Americans can expect to see their chances of an IRS audit increase fourfold under the Biden-Manchin ‘Inflation Increase Act’. The massive upsurge in IRS enforcement was justified as a way to pay for the massive spending in the bill. Much of that spending consists of green pork for Democrat donors and special interests.
While the media had spent the past month persuading Americans that they will see economic benefits from the green pork, now that the bill was passed through lies and dirty tricks, we know that it offers as much as $350 billion in loans, subsidies and guarantees to green companies.

Alan Dershowitz said the Justice Department has 'enough evidence to indict Trump,' but won't do so, because it's not worse than Hillary Clinton’s handling of State Department emails.
The former lawyer for both Jeffrey Epstein and President Trump based his claim on what he calls the 'Nixon-Clinton standards.'
He said that the Justice Department won't indict the former president because 'the case has to be so overwhelmingly strong that even Republicans support it' — as was the case with Nixon — and has to be 'more serious than Clinton’s case,' who was not criminally prosecuted.

The assurance, contained in a letter to House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. Carolyn Maloney and House Intelligence Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, is the first indication that the Biden administration will evaluate the potential national security risks.
It comes after a heavily redacted document released Friday revealed 15 boxes of documents returned from Mar-a-Lago contained 184 classified documents, 67 confidential documents and 25 top secret documents.

It seems like just yesterday that politicians would try to sway voters to come to their point of view and cast a vote for them. Things have changed. In the past week, Charlie Crist told conservative voters he wants nothing to do with them because they're evil; Kathy Hochul told Republicans to leave her state; and, in the culmination of this abuse, Joe Biden effectively affixed the label "fascist" to Trump's 74,216,154 voters (all of whom are actual human beings). Is it any coincidence that, in the same week, activists twice swatted Marjorie Taylor Greene?

Attorney and former Constitutional Law Clerk for Justice Gorsuch, Mike Davis, lays out three reasons why the DOJ’s actions in raiding President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago were unprecedented, not necessary, and not lawful.
Davis shared on FOX News today:
Yeah, so this affidavit, heavily redacted affidavit, it further evidences that this home raid on President Trump was unprecedented, it was unnecessary, and it was unlawful.

Friday’s unsealing of the affidavit tied to the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida estate has raised more questions than answers.
West Palm Beach US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhardt had ordered the Justice Department earlier in the week to prepare a redacted version of the document in which authorities laid out their reasons for the controversial Aug. 8 search-and-seizure operation at Mar-a-Lago.
Friday’s unsealing came amid what Reinhardt called “intense public and historical interest” into the raid. The feds have described their probe as centering on the alleged mishandling of classified information, theft of government records and obstruction of justice.

After nearly two years of talking about it, Joe Biden finally rolled out his student-loan forgiveness plan … and apparently nothing else. According to Axios, the White House didn’t bother to gather the data on eligibility, didn’t create a system which would check it, and has no system yet in place to fully complete the process.
Did Biden drop the ball again — or did he never expect to be allowed to run with it in the first place?
The agency doesn’t have income data for most of the 43 million Americans eligible for forgiveness, meaning around 35 million people — including Pell Grant recipients — will have to attest

Former President Donald Trump mocked the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) heavily redacted search warrant affidavit that was used as the basis for the FBI raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.
DOJ released the affidavit on Friday after Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, who approved the search warrant, ordered the underlying affidavit to be unsealed on Thursday. However, the released affidavit was heavily redacted after Judge Reinhart found the federal government provided “good cause” to keep portions of the document under seal.

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said President Joe Biden’s student loan program will make income inequality worse and the issue is higher education is sold “as a golden ticket to be in the upper middle class, but they’re not really getting any education.” He also argued that “education is to Democrats what tax cuts are to Republicans, they think it solves everything.”
