A federal appeals court blocked a Biden administration plan Friday that would coerce doctors to perform gender-transition medical procedures and abortions that violate their conscience or medical judgment.

One Alabama embalmer will perform his job in silence no longer. Richard Hirschmann has been the impetus for recent disturbing pathology reports of abnormal blood clots found and removed by embalmers from the corpses they embalmed. Hirschmann claims this pattern has only emerged in his line of work since the onset of COVID-19 and the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccines.

The U.S. Western District Court of Michigan denied a plea by Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (D) that sought to halt a lawsuit alleging she kept nearly 26,000 dead registrants on the state’s voter rolls.
In November 2021, as Breitbart News reported, the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) filed suit against Benson accusing her of keeping nearly 26,000 dead registrants on Michigan voter rolls and thus violating the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre snapped at a reporter who heckled Thursday’s press briefing.
The reporter began derailing the briefing as Jean-Pierre finished answering a question about student debt cancelation and the nation’s deficit. The reporter talked over Washington Blade White House reporter Chris Johnson to demand that she be able to ask a question, prompting the press secretary to chime in.
“Karine, I’ve been asking you for a question for a long time,” the reporter said.
“You’re not being respectful to your colleagues, to your own colleagues,” Jean-Pierre snapped. “As you see, I jump around.”
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that the FBI approached Facebook warning the platform about "Russian propaganda" ahead of the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story leading up to the 2020 presidential election. Appearing on Thursday's installment of "The Joe Rogan Experience," Zuckerberg was asked about Facebook's suppression of the New York Post's reporting that shed light on the shady foreign business dealings of the son of then-candidate Joe Biden.
Zuckerberg began by stressing how Facebook took a "different path" than Twitter, which completely censored the Post's reporting while Facebook limited its reach on the platform.

FiveThirtyEight editor-in-chief Nate Silver made a claim on Twitter that’s getting a lot of attention, quite understandably.
Silver was commenting on Twitter on a Politico article about the Trump Administration pushing for fast-track approval of the COVID vaccine in 2020. It makes perfect sense that you would want to fast-track it, to help people as soon as it was possible. Silver said, “‘Trump pushed for vaccine approvals too fast’ is the worst possible critique of the Trump administration’s COVID policy. That probably saved a lot of lives. If anything approval should have been faster.”

There is little question that the House will change majority control to the Republicans in the November midterm elections. The question at this point is how big of a red wave it will be. Will it be a tsunami or a ripple? Polling is leaning toward shrinking the red wave but this is August and we don’t know what we don’t know yet. Things happen in the last couple of months leading up to an election, especially October surprises.

Make no mistake about it — Joe Biden’s student-loan forgiveness plan is a bailout of Academia, and it’s as bad or worse as the Washington Post’s editorial board declares. Allahpundit mentioned it in his earlier round-up of Democratic pushback, but the editorial is worth highlighting for its perhaps-unintended exposure of just how badly federal education policy performs in the real world.
