The day was a busy one for me, with much of it spent transcribing what I thought were the especially relevant parts of an interview with Dr. Pierre Kory, President of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC). Headlines lately have not been encouraging for the faithful. A Gallup poll shows that the percentage of Americans who believe in God has fallen to 81 percent—a drop of 10 percent over the last decade and an all-time low. This accelerating trend is especially pronounced among young adults. (Snip)

First of all, none of you are required to become parents. Some people should never, ever be parents. The shrieking ogres bawling and fainting in front of the Supreme Court recently look like they’d make terrible mothers. (Snip)
But for the rest of humanity, the normal people, parenthood is something that beckons like a shimmering far away shore as you exit your teenage years. “One day,” we think, “I’ll get to have my own baby!”
Planned Parenthood is the greatest branding triumph in the modern world. (Snip) Waiting until conditions are perfect, however, is a bad idea. It’s a trap that will leave you high and dried up.

Police in the Netherlands opened fire at farmers protesting against the government’s radical new “climate change” policies. The shots were fired when a tractor convoy tried to push past a police barricade, the local news reports say.
“The incident occurred late Tuesday evening on a freeway access near Heerenveen” in northern Holland, the Swiss newspaper Schweizer Bauer reported. “Farmers had blocked the road with tractors. Doctors are mystified by a rash of seizures, rashes, etc. happening to 2 and 3-year-old kids.
The only thing these kids have in common is that they were given the COVID vaccine just days earlier (two to five days earlier).
The doctors cannot figure out what is causing the seizures (since it couldn’t be the vaccine since those are safe and effective). The medical staff is not permitted to talk about the cases to the press or on social media or they will be fired. (Snip)

The power of the administrative state to destroy liberty and property – to blast through legislation, science, and judicial oversight – was never more on display than in the last two and a half years. One would hope that the deep bureaucracies would have learned their lessons on how not to respond to a new pathogen. There is no evidence they have.
Regardless, the real problem is much deeper. It has to do with the status of the administrative state as the effective governing apparatus of the US. It’s not Congress and not the President. It’s the vast and permanent bureaucracy of 432 agencies and 2.9M bureaucrats who are unreachable
Furious Dutch farmers brought cows to The Hague and threatened to slaughter the animals on Tuesday in protest of the Netherlands' $26 billion climate plan that could reduce the livestock population by 30%.
The Netherlands, one of Europe's top greenhouse gas emitters, is planning on halving its nitrogen output by 2030, Bloomberg reported. The government plan would shutter some farms, as much of the nitrogen is blamed on manure and fertilizer from cattle.
The output goal is in compliance with European Union rules to reduce pollution. The Netherlands is the world's second-largest agricultural exporter, per AFP, and some regions of the country will need to cut as much as 95%

Ranking Senate Judiciary Committee member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) slammed the Department of Justice on Monday for "repeated failure to prosecute employees" who were caught lying during internal investigations.
"An unsettling pattern has emerged from the Department of Justice (DOJ) whereby criminal referrals by the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General (OIG), against DOJ employees for making materially false statements are rarely prosecuted," Grassley wrote in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“Since Congress is not acting as it should, and these guys here are, but we’re not getting any Republican votes, this is an emergency,” Biden said from the podium in Somerset, Mass., apparently gesturing at Democrats around him. The president stopped short of issuing a national climate emergency, but said he would use executive powers to address the issue.
“As president I’ll use my executive powers to combat climate crisis in the absence of Congressional action,” Biden added.

Yesterday, most mainstream media outlets reported that a number of Democrat representatives — including "Squad“ members, were arrested outside the Supreme Court following protests against the Court's recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., a.k.a. AOC, was among those arrested for blocking traffic. Reps. Barbara Lee of California, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Cori Bush of Missouri, Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, Nydia Velazquez of New York, Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania, and Andy Levin of Michigan were among the other legislators arrested.
The Capitol Police said they had arrested 35 people, including 17 members of Congress, for "crowding, obstructing or incommoding."

Joe Biden isn’t very popular because of the way the mainstream media is covering him.
The lack of self-awareness notwithstanding, Bacon blames the media because its “flawed coverage model of politics and government is bad for more than just Biden — it results in a distorted national discourse that weakens our democracy. The media needs to find a different way to cover Washington.”
