Bush, the son of failed presidential candidate Jeb Bush, by a double-digit margin. (Tweet) Paxton’s triumph over Bush puts the final nail in the coffin of the Bush political dynasty. Bush’s name recognition reportedly harmed his campaign, with Texas voters comparing him to “the establishment” and criticizing him for being “politically correct.”The Texas GOP attorney general primary went to a runoff election after Paxton fell slightly short of the 50 percent threshold necessary to avoid a runoff. I believed, for a long time, that George P. Bush had great potential.
He was an attractive young man, conservative, bilingual and articulate.
I don't follow Texas politics, but it was clearly the wrong guy, Paxton, to try to primary out.
Unlike many of you here, I don't hate the Bush family. I believe George H.W. Bush was the best prepared man for the presidency, ever in our history. And I believe he was an honorable man, beat by a sex offender and her hillbilly husband, in one of those historical flukes.
George W. Bush was also an honorable man, who should not have selected Dick Cheney as his VP running mate, and certainly should have dumped Cheney in 2004. And if not for the filthy islamofascist terrorist pigs attacks, who knows what George W. Bush might have accomplished?
I also believe Jeb Bush was one of the worst presidential campaigners ever.(Biden was the worst.)

#3, George W. Bush would not have accomplished jack. He was too busy playing nice with the dims. I supported him because of the alternative until September 12th, 2001. His failure to appear in a national broadcast announcing he was going to use the military to seal all borders and use law enforcement to seek out and remove anyone in this country who had no legal basis for being within the borders was a failure of massive proportions. Instead, he started playing nice with our enemies who are determined to destroy this country and look where we are today. I curse at him every time I see him on TV.

The more Texas and the nation finds out about the political and UniParty elements of the (elite) Bush family, the more it is thought that the Bush family should spend their time on their ranches tending to their fences and abandon efforts to be involved in future politics.

Re #3, Bush Sr was a CIA elitist Deep State guy. He was certainly a brave pilot in WW2, but by his CIA days, IMO, he had gone over to the "elites side" and viewed the government as something that the rich, elite folks run and have to keep the poor dumb sheep in line, because they are too stupid to know what is good for them, regardless of all that silly pap about freedom and voting that the Founding Fathers wrote (their view, not mine).

Maybe now the Bush family will recognize the truth - they're too liberal for the Republican base, and not liberal enough for the Democrat party. After the Jeb! debacle, I suspect the GOPe will make sure their uniparty candidates are not named "Bush."
