It’s Memorial Day. Y’all wanna grill?”
George Perry Floyd Jr. wasn’t particularly skilled at flipping burgers, but he was glad when his friend Sylvia Jackson suggested the diversion. The coronavirus pandemic had left him jobless and listless, a shadow of the gregarious man his friends and family once knew. (Snip) For the two men, and so many of their friends, Minnesota was the “state of opportunity.” They had left Houston for the chance to pull themselves out of a vicious cycle of unemployment, incarceration and addiction.

Blah... blah... blah...
This writer is trying to pad his essay. Where in hell are facts? I was looking for, "where did George get the drugs found in his system? Where did he get the conterfiet $20? Did he have any criminal history, and if so, for what?
Instead, blah... blah... blah...
I literally gor irritated and gave up on it, and I've read War and Peace (though not willingly).
What bull-puckey!!

Yes such a promising young man. All he wanted to do was tutor children in math and science, continue his studies in college and go to medical school to become a pediatric heart surgeon, plus his off times we’re volunteering at a Jewish hospice center. He loved playing music and was working on his Masters Degree in Music while teaching piano and guitar. Such a talented and caring person with his whole life ahead to do good and as a Christian man to preach the gospel of Christ Jesus to as many as possible that they might believe in Him too and have everlasting life. Saint George will find mercy from the Son.

Rehabbing St. George, just in time to inflame the springtime riots.

I upvoted #1’s comment, but want to thank OP for posting this — it’s important, IMO, to see what drivel the WaPo is willing to publish and also what nonsense their readership wants to believe. God help us.

George Floyd spent his final hours ingesting the illegal drugs which killed him and attempting to pass counterfeit money so he could go buy more drugs. He was a violent career criminal who abandoned his children. There I fixed all the lies and steaming, stinking bovine manure contained in this article.
Georgie Boy has gone to meet his Maker and our Country is better off without the likes of him.

Coming up on two years since loser Floyd got thrown from the horse he rode in on.
Expect more of this myth making in the upcoming weeks, so much muddy water to be roiled.

I couldn’t read any more about St. George. Do these writers include the part about his being shot up his rear end with heroin and who did it? Well, the autopsy said that’s how heroin was added to his mix that day and I recall his even mentioning it to the officers...

Must be time to gin up some more burning cities to intimidate the conservative Supreme Court Justices. Tomorrow they'll publish the piece about Saint Trayvon Martin.

He aspired to be a Supreme Court Justice or rap artist. Since he was held back from accomplishing those goals he settled on watching TV or driving around town with his drug dealer friend all day. My guess is he would have bumped into the Grim Reaper pretty soon anyways.

The world is a better place without George Floyd. I pray that before he drew his last breath, he cried out to Jesus asking forgiveness for the debauched life he lived and the people he hurt.
