Uzhhorod, Ukraine — First lady Jill Biden traveled into war-torn Ukraine Sunday, where she met with her Ukrainian counterpart in a Mother’s Day show of solidarity for women fleeing Russia’s invasion. After crossing the Slovakian border, Biden traveled to the western city of Uzhhorod where she met Olena Zelenska, Ukraine’s first lady at a school. “I thought it was important to show the Ukrainian people that this war has to stop, and this war has been brutal, and that the people of the United States stand with the people of Ukraine,” Biden said. Zelenska, who has not been seen in public since the invasion began, thanked Biden

Why is Biden's handlers putting an American face on this war? I guess Democrats just love war too much, as long as their kids are not the one's fighting it. Jill, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff-for-brains. Tony Blinken need to keep their behinds in D.C. and quit slapping Putin in the face. It may not be just misinformation; Putin may be losing mental faculties just like Biden. We don't need to make him crazy enough to nuke us.

Progressive activists have long fallen on the tactic of resorting to violence, destruction, and even bloodshed to get their points across. With the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on abortion, I feel assured they will once more pull this oft-used tool from their belt, and once again resort to carnage and mayhem. Already, they vandalized several Catholic churches last weekend, and firebombed a Right to Life group’s headquarters. A bullet was fired into the office of the Virginia Attorney General this week as well. Violence is already here. These were all pre-game activities as they warm up for what is to come. In reality however, members

How many different diagnoses is this for him now? At different times I’ve heard Parkinson’s, thyroid cancer, and forthcoming surgery for some unspecified form of cancer. Cancer does seem to be a recurring theme, though. Yesterday at New Lines, Michael Weiss wrote that he’s obtained audio recorded in March of an unnamed Russian oligarch who’s “close to the Kremlin” admitting that Putin is very ill. Notably, the source of the recording claims the oligarch didn’t know he was being recorded when he said it. There’s no shortage of reasons to be skeptical, though

A curious development — positive, but still curious. Ever since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Defense Secretary has tried to get Sergei Shoigu to pick up the phone, at least for the purposes of deconfliction. The Russian defense minister has refused to engage … until today. Whatever could have changed? Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday spoke with his Russian counterpart, the first such conversation between the two officials since the Kremlin’s attack on Ukraine began in February, according to the Pentagon. Austin spoke with Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu by phone

We’ve reported extensively on President Biden’s health woes and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s rumored cancer. Add another major world leader to the list of the afflicted, because several media outlets claim Chinese President Xi Jinping, 68, is suffering from a brain aneurysm. Making his life more difficult are rumors of a possible coup by rivals tired of the nation’s uber-strict, economy-killing COVID lockdowns. According to New Delhi-based ANI news service, Xi decided against surgery, instead choosing treatment involving traditional Chinese medicines that soften the blood vessels and shrink aneurysms.

Tonight Joe Biden tweeted a particularly stupid idea: let’s fight inflation by raising corporate income taxes! It is extraordinary to see how out of ammunition the floundering Biden administration is, after less than a year and a half. If even people like Jeff Bezos are willing to step out of line, the Democrats may be in worse trouble than we knew.

It is currently a popular meme that the Republicans are poised for a Congressional sweep in the 2022 midterm elections, perhaps flipping as many as 40 — some say 60 — seats and regaining control of both houses. After all, the Democrats have performed so poorly across the board, whether in foreign policy, the economic realm, the maelstrom at the southern border, and in the overall domestic havoc they have wrought, as to constitute a disaster not seen in many decades, if not in living memory. Is this about to change? Victor Davis Hanson is not so sure. “The traditional bedrocks of the American system,” he writes, “a stable economy, energy independence,

Fred Ward, who starred in films including “Henry and June,” “Tremors,” “The Right Stuff” and “The Player,” died May 8, his publicist confirmed to Variety. He was 79. Among his other prominent roles were parts in “Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins,” “Miami Blues” and “Short Cuts.” There was a certain retro quality to the actor’s persona that made Ward seem more akin to Humphrey Bogart or John Garfield (although not quite with those actors’ level of charisma) than to his contemporaries, and it did not seem at all affected. He appeared to be the sort of fellow who hailed from the South Side of Chicago or Hell’s Kitchen,

Is the White House lying even about their response to the baby formula shortage? Listen as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claims Joe Biden has been working on the issue that she blames on the Abbott Company recall. She says that they’ve been working on the problem for months. Funny that. If they’ve been working on it for months, why hasn’t Biden hasn’t made any public comment on the effort? White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said it was a “top priority” on Wednesday. But then, when she was asked who was the point person on the issue at the White House, Jean-Pierre was unable to say. Some priority.

It’s a good thing, but isn’t it a little odd that corporate America is suddenly silent on such a hot-button issue as abortion? Since the leaked opinion from the Supreme Court was exposed, there has been a deafening silence from the woke CEOs so eager to weigh in on controversial issues. It would be nice if corporate America finally realized that consumers don’t care about the personal opinions of CEOs and resent it when those opinions are pushed on the general public. For example, was it really such a good idea for Disney to come out on the opposite side of parental rights in public schools when its original business model

You all remember the story: the Biden Department of Justice coordinated with the National School Boards Association to arrange for FBI investigations of parents who are unhappy about their local schools teaching racism and anti-Americanism (Critical Race Theory) and gender confusion, and requiring masks. The episode was so sordid that many state school board associations dropped their affiliation with NSBA, and most people doubted that the FBI would be craven enough to follow Attorney General Merrick Garland’s patently unconstitutional directive. But follow it they did. Yesterday Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, acting on tips from unhappy FBI agents, wrote Merrick Garland to criticize the diversion of FBI resources
