In case you were wondering why all views contrary to the Official Narrative have been canceled, it's because of the Asch Conformity Experiment. (snip) Asch showed that people will actually believe things that they know to be false if they think everybody else believes those things. That is the point of the COVID nightmare experiment we just lived though. You must believe:
COVID is hugely riskier than it actually was, so any actions are justified.
Vaccines are your only hope, even though the technology has never worked.

The Media attacks on PDJT were another Asch attempt. It appears to have worked to some extent, seeing as many Republicans are still leery of supporting Trump due to the blowback that will await them from the Media and Cancel Culture.

Reading this I thought of how great our loss is to no longer have the voice (and mind) of Rush Limbaugh on the air.

Don't Comply....find a few like-minded friends and discuss and get involved together. Against the socialists/tyrants it is much better to "Howl as a pack" than Howl alone.

People are herd animals at heart. This stuff is Psych 101. The key is to get “trusted” opinion leaders to speak and behave in unison. That moves people. Biden can’t do it. Fauci can’t anymore. And that is where PDT failed the nation. He could have done it, and instead trusted his “experts”. He turned his bully pulpit over to the hoaxers like Fauci and Birx, and it was off to the races costing TRILLIONS of public dollars and allowing the next “new normal” to cogitate in the public mind, like security after 9/11, bringing you the Patriot Act.
It’s all about ensuring the herd is maintained. Thou shalt not think or challenge, or risk the consequences. Remember Harold the clever sheep?

Fantastic article, OP. Anyone going against any part of the Covid narrative is labeled as suffering from Oppositional Defiance Syndrome, a badge I proudly wear. I continue to struggle with all those around me who still cling to the narrative, as I try to bless them and send them on their way. Some simply choose to be lost, thinking that they are found. Go in peace…but go.

Originally this experiment was about jury but now its being applied to groupthink in public opinion.
Fortunately the Left hasn't wrested complete control of information distribution.
I was disagreeing with a neighbor and suggested she try a different search engine than Google to see other opinions than her own.
She finally did, and admitted she had been led by the nose for a long time.

This goes a long way toward explaining much of my life. I didnt get the herding gene. If other people are doing it, I assume it is dumb. "I dont keep up with the Joneses". I dont even like the Joneses. I dont like teams and my 20 years in the military was rough as I dont like group activities.
The quickest way to get me to not believe something is to tell me other people believe it. Or worse, that the "experts" agree.

Young children listen to their parents. Adolescents listen to the peer group. Adults eventually sort out the truth. Some, however do not, and they continue to seek the way to live from the peer group. This article bears it out.

I am sorely grieved to learn what an abject failure I am at the Asch Conformity Experiment! I never believed a word of this Charlie-vector 0h one-niner tripe. So as the family non-conformist, I may have passed that gene along to my non-biological granddaughter. Sometimes, you don't need a test tube or a lab.

Poster #8, we must be twins separated at birth. that's exactly the way I feel. If everyone is doing it, count me out.
Now, something I noticed several years ago. Our school district had been moving the school boundaries around for a couple of years so families were having to change schools frequently because they were no longer in the 'correct' boundary, a lot of people were angry and rightly so. A neighbor and I went to one of the meetings to discuss a better way of doing things. We entered the auditorium together but as we did, we were separated and asked to sit at different tables. We didn't argue because it didn't matter to us. But then I noticed that couples were being separated also. That's when I realized this was planned. If you are sitting next to someone you know, it gives you courage to stand up and speak. If you're around a bunch of strangers you are a bit shy. I never let anyone separate me again if I came to a meeting with someone. So here's a tip for all of you, don't let them intimidate you to not speak up. O.K.?

Roughly fifty percent of the population became complacent sheep. Unfortunately, the lunatics were in charge. No masks, no tests, no shots, no apologies here.

Unfair, #4. Early in the bat flu problem, we had no experience, no statistics, no science and the CDC and their little gnome Fauci were the "official" voice. We now have the benefit of hindsight and every sane citizen, including Donald Trump, would have acted accordingly. It was all a scam and, like normal with democrat scams, all about money and power.

Nonsense, #15. PDT was the President of the United States, Leader of the Free World, and he walked away leaving the “experts” to lead the nation in a “crisis”. Two weeks of “flattening the curve” rapidly evolved into two years of stolen liberties and official government bullsh-tuff, and PDT lost all credibility by failing to control HIS administration and its message, often contradicting the experts he continued to employ. Fauci is still peddling his fear porm. How are those “Project Warp Speed” vaccines and boosters working for you? Get your booster? FPDT says they’re safe and effective. He got his.

#12, we were triplets.
The oft-repeated comment in my posts about 'not accepting the premise' is in the exact same vein as ya'll's thinking. I usually assume the thing that was written to persuade me of something is a lie unless it's accompanied by either proof or a reasonable explanation. 'Because I said so' is neither.
I think that cynicism was the result of Mom and Dad dumping us all like that.
