A Democratic congressional candidate in Washington State is arguing for a $30 per hour minimum wage, claiming that the $15 minimum wage movement is an outdated number.
Rebecca Parson, a candidate for Washington’s 6th District that includes Tacoma, shared the comment recently in a post on Twitter.
“$15 minimum wage is an antiquated demand. It should be $30 per hour,” she tweeted. [Tweet]
“1 adult supporting 1 kid needs $30 an hour across the country. Rural, urban, suburban: $30 is the floor. As you say your nightly prayers to Saint Elon while you fall asleep tonight, reflect on why you punch down on poor people

Why not $100/hr? What the dum bazz don't understand is when it becomes the law, it's still minimum wage and they will be not better off.

Why doesn't she use her own money to make up the extra $15? Or at least get it from her good cash-flush buddies at BLM?
Actually, she looks like jen psaki without the charisma. And of course she's LGBQwhatever. And a teacher. What is it with these shrieking dried-up Karens?

She should watch a video of Thomas Sowell talking about how he could only get his first job because no minimum wage law existed at the time.
I say watch a video rather than read his writings because I doubt she could figure out the bigger words.

I don't buy Big Macs or Whoppers now because they are not worth the price. What would motivate me to pay more for one? Certainly not the good feelings I would get knowing that I am generously supporting some tattooed burger flipper's drug habit.

Time to invest more in automation and robots. It is hard to talk to a business person by phone now and soon you won't see one in a fast food joint.

Only $30? She's hates the poor and is a fascist!
Everyone has the right to be a billionaire! Everyone should make $1 billion an hour, even if they don't have a job because working is just the white man's racism against PoC.

#11 & #12 Last time we ate at Mickey D it cost 2 of us $25. Last Friday we went to a small town bar and grill and ate great burgers for $20 and that included a couple of beers.

I took out my calculator - - and I figured that the ideal minimum wage would be - - $413.23 per hour.
At that minimum hourly wage - - 35 hours of "work" would bring in $14,463.05 per week - - or $752,078.60 per year. Thus - - a minimum wage of $412.23 per hour - - would guarantee that not even the wildest, most delusional leftist - - would ask for it to be raised again for at least seven weeks.
Let's do it! I'm sure my calculations are right!

At $15 they priced out most first job positions that used to go to teens. At $30 they will price out most unskilled and many skilled jobs. Soon no one will but politicians will have a job.

There would be a massive amount of layoffs, because no small business can afford that type of wages. They will cut back their hours and the owner and spouse will be the only two employees.

Arbitrary hikes in the minimum wage ultimately reduce entry-level employment opportunities, while increasing the cost of goods and services.
To get their bolshevik revolution, the Left need the poor to outnumber the prosperous. A vibrant middle class is liberty's strongest defense against the fraud that is socialism. And most of the Dems' programs have served to drag the middle class into poverty, while keeping the poor where they are. Absolutely insidious.

If politicians can mandate a minimum wage, there's nothing stopping them from setting a maximum wage. This was already addressed at least as far back as Hillary's first foray into health care, back in the Clinton administration when Hillary wanted to set the salaries for health care workers.

Why is $30 the magic number? Why not $1000? $5000? Why not get paid what your labor is worth? In the case of Rebecca Parson, that magic number is $0, as she doesn't add anything to the economy as she is a taker not a supplier.
