We reported Friday on how CNN’s Chris “reporters don’t pick sides” Cillizza was salivating over a post-State of the Union address poll from NPR/PBS/Marist that showed President Biden with an eight point jump (to 47%) in comparison to a prior poll taken by the same outfit a few weeks prior.
“The possibility of a Joe Biden comeback now exists,” Cillizza enthusiastically tweeted, setting tongues wagging on the left about the prospect of it happening considering Biden’s numbers also rose in the same poll on his handling of the Ukraine/Russia conflict and his management of the coronavirus pandemic.
As Bonchie wrote in his piece at the time, the likelihood

Within MAGA circles, talk is turning increasingly to impeaching Joe Biden after the midterm elections—assuming, of course, the Republicans retake the House of Representatives (which appears likely). Unfortunately, actual removal would require 60 votes in the Senate. Even under the most favorable scenario, it’s unlikely the GOP will pick up more than four Senate seats.
Nonetheless, with the strong likelihood the Republicans will take control of the House, impeaching Biden looks viable. Why? Well, for the same reason a Democrat-controlled House impeached Donald Trump—twice.
The Democrats used the impeachment process to persuade millions of middle-of-the-road and independent voters that Trump had done something terribly wrong. Of course, the Democrats’ two impeachment efforts were frivolous

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday condemned Florida surgeon general Joseph Ladapo’s recommendation against healthy children receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
When a reporter asked Psaki whether the Biden administration agreed with that advisory, she replied: “Absolutely not. … We know the science, we know the data and what works and what the most effective steps are in protecting people of a range of ages from hospitalization and even death.”
She affirmed that the FDA and CDC have confirmed the vaccine’s safety and efficacy for children. While it’s unclear what exact age range Ladapo’s guidance would target, studies have consistently found that Covid infection poses an infinitesimal risk

A judge has ruled one of the main organizers of the so-called Freedom Convoy can be released from jail, on the condition she leave Ottawa, reversing a decision made last month.
Tamara Lich, 49, was behind a now-halted GoFundMe campaign that raised more than $10 million to support the protest in Ottawa, which became a weeks-long occupation.
She was arrested Feb. 17 and charged with counselling to commit mischief shortly before the major push by police to clear out the remaining protesters who occupied downtown Ottawa streets. Lich remained in custody and was denied bail on Feb. 22, but then appealed, leading to a March 2 bail review hearing.

Volodymr Zelenskiy has vowed to punish “every b**d’” who committed atrocities during the invasion of Ukraine amid outrage at Russia’s shelling of civilians as they tried to flee a town on the outskirts of Kyiv, killing a young family.
The president of Ukraine said in a video address on Sunday night: “They were just trying to get out of town. To escape. The whole family. How many such families have died in Ukraine. We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will punish everyone who committed atrocities in this war.” To the Russian forces behind the attack, in the town of Irpin on the western edge of the capital,

Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk on Sunday said Europe must reboot its nuclear power stations for the sake of national and international security.
"Hopefully, it is now extremely obvious that Europe should restart dormant nuclear power stations and increase power output of existing ones," Musk tweeted. "This is *critical* to national and international security." Musk said the fears of radiation are overblown. Demonstrating his commitment to the idea, Musk vowed to eat locally grown food near a nuclear power plant on television.
"I did this in Japan many years ago, shortly after Fukushima," he said. "Radiation risk is much, much lower than most people believe."

Houston, Texas — Election officials in Texas’ largest county failed to count approximately 10,000 ballots by election day. The Democrat-appointed election administrator for Harris County reported 6,000 of the ballots were cast in the Democratic Party primary and 4,000 in the Republican Party Primary.
“As we continue to run through the numerous checks and balances of the tallying process, we identified approximately 10,000 mail-in ballots (6,000 Democratic and 4,000 Republican) that were not added into the original Election Night count,” Harris County Election Administrator Isabel Longoria said in a written statement obtained by Breitbart Texas. “The oversight occurred between the hours of 1 and 4 a.m.

AAA announced that the U.S. average gas price is now slightly more than $4 per gallon. Gas is at its highest since 2008. But before gas prices took a jump due to the first Green New Deal War, being hosted this year by Ukraine and Russia, there was Bidenflation, supply chain fiascos, COVID-19 lockdowns, and Joe Biden’s turn toward windmills and Chinese solar panels to fuel cars and planes. And because he took America away from making most of its own energy, we suckers in the provinces are staring down the barrel of $7-per-gallon gas.
Even electric car maker and spaceship builder Elon Musk thinks outsourcing.

Russian officials are looking to recruit Syrian soldiers to fight in Ukraine as battles are set to intensity in and around major cities, The Wall Street Journal reported.
U.S. officials told the Journal that Moscow is specifically recruiting Syrian fighters for their expertise in urban combat fighting.
Troops loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is backed by Russia, have been fighting a fierce battle in urban centers for nearly a decade, giving them a skill set hard to find among Russian troops. One official said while it's unclear how many Syrian fighters will join the battle, some are already in Russia preparing

U.S. crude oil surged more than 8% in early trading on Sunday evening as the market continued to react to supply disruptions stemming from Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine and the possibility of a ban on Russian oil and natural gas.

A second attempt to evacuate Ukrainians from the port city of Mariupol has failed as Russian shelling continued despite a planned local ceasefire, according to a new report.
Ukrainian military officials said planned evacuations from the southern city were scheduled to begin at noon local time during a 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. local ceasefire, according to the Associated Press. Ukrainian Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashchenko said officials were forced to suspend the evacuation due to a Russian assault.
