Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein on Monday announced her husband of more than 40 years, Richard Blum, died of lung cancer at the age of 86.“My heart is broken today. My husband was my partner and best friend for more than 40 years. He was by my side for the good times and for the challenges. I am going to miss him terribly,” Feinstein, 88, said in a statement.“Dick was incredibly devoted to his family, particularly his daughters and his grandchildren, and my heart is with them and everyone who Dick encountered.

Of course, sympathy to the Senator and her family
It's tough to lose the breadwinner/bagman for the family.

I hope the IRS takes a substantial chunk of the money they've made off her Senate seat, but I'm sure they've used every loophole in the book to avoid inheritance taxes.

She missed a great opportunity to "Spend more time with her Family"...last election cycle.
Truth be told, we can likely expect her to soon follow him.

Today's Scripture reading is darned appropriate:
"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the Kingdom of God"
Di-Fi should be following him any day now.

She's 88. When is it going to be time for her "to spend time with her family??" How much time did she spend in D.C. stroking her own ego when she could have been spending that time with her husband in his declining years??

Speaking of fire...I believe we have come to that point where our politicians should be required to follow the Hindu practice of sati (or suttee): a Hindu practice, now mostly historical, in which a widow sacrifices herself by sitting atop her deceased husband's funeral pyre.

I'm not famous, so maybe I can't understand. But it seems like the last thing I would do if my wife and best friend just died would be to go out in public and say, "My heart is broken today...." I mean, it's like when people call themselves brave or a fighter. There are just some things you don't say yourself ABOUT yourself.
Just BE it and let others observe it if it's really there. Of course, if it's not, I guess it makes sense that some folks would put on sackcloth and ashes.

The CCP will pay for the funeral based on “services rendered” over the years. They will also supply the driver.

Although I won’t be able to attend the funeral I wrote a nice note to Sen. Feinstein to let her know I approve of it. (Hat tip to M. Twain)

Feinstein poses as a moderate. But watch what she does not what she says. I think this hag turns 94 before her term expires if she does not expire first.

Correction, Feinstein was born in 1933. So she’ll be 91 in 2024 when her term runs out.

I'm sure he and Diane have inter-generational trusts, which allow rich people to preserve assets and pass them on, tax favored, to their grandchildren.
The Kennedy clan has been riding on Old Joe's,trusts as has a flock of Rockefellers, who are supported by John D. Rockefeller Sr.
And when the Indian Squaw, Lizzie Warren, and the rest of the leftist loons complain about the one percenters, have you ever heard them whine about inter inter generational trusts?
I thought not.
