Americans want an autonomous Ukraine to survive. They hope the West can stop Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strangulation of both Ukraine and NATO.
Yet Americans do not want their troops to venture across the world to Europe’s backyard to fight nuclear Russia to ensure that Ukraine stays independent.
Most Americans oppose the notion that Russia can simply dictate the future of Ukraine.
Yet Americans also grudgingly accept that Ukraine was often historically part of Russia. During World War II, it was the bloody scene of joint Russian-Ukrainian sacrifices—more than 5 million killed—to defeat the Nazi German invasion.

Putin won't invade. If there is any trouble it will come from our CIA. Even the Ukraine is telling Joe to ease off. The Democrats want Russia to be in the news so their poor leadership problems and the takeover and overthrow of a legitimate Government will be covered up. Wouldn't surprise me down the road that Putin and Trump are working together to bring down the Global Deep State.

It seems to me that if all parties would agree that Ukraine should be an autonomous nation, neither part of NATO nor part of Russia, that would be good for everybody. NATO doesn't really want Ukraine to be a member. Russia wants a neutral buffer between NATO and Russia. And, Ukraine wants to be left alone.
Nobody wins in a shooting war.

#2, TaliBiden thinks he will win if it distracts us from his long long list of massive failures. But he and his cabal don’t understand that only the hardcore kool-aid gulping true believers will fall for it.

Putin is unperturbed, because he knows he has to do nothing for Biden to implode, and make a fool of himself before the world.

This latest Russian bluff ended a few days ago when NATO flatly rejected Putin's demands. That just took the steam out of the whole thing. Russia immediately began complaining that its circa-1982 security concerns were ignored (because they are ridiculous nonsense). Putin has withdrawn from public view and it is now left to lackeys and henchmen to find the least embarrassing way out of this.

The seeds of this 'trouble' were planted on the morning of Nov 4, 2020. When we woke up and meekly accepted the massive theft that occurred when we went to sleep assuming Trump had won ( and he had). It all points to that singular occurrence.

It is worth remembering that initially in WW2, many Ukrainians greeted the Wehrmacht as liberators. They were quickly disabused of this notion, sure, but that initial reaction is telling.
I suspect that much of this friction stems from Russian realization that, barring a dictatorial strongman with ties to the Kremlin, the average person in Eastern Europe has no love for Russia. If Lukashenko in Belarus were to rightly get run over by a bus tomorrow, regular folks there would prefer to align with the EU, not Russia.

FTA: "We can translate all these disturbing results in the following manner: The German and Turkish people like or trust Russia more than they do their own NATO patron, America."
Nonsense. The Euros are realists. Buy gas or other commodities from Russia and they have less reason to bother you. Like the USA with China, send money east to mollify the oligarchs and it's all good. nobody wants trouble...except American neo-Cons and other fellow-traveling fools looking to feed the military-industrial complex that is never satisfied. We always need "the best", regardless of cost.

Americans want an autonomous Ukraine to survive? Really? I’m an American and I don’t give a flying Brandon about Ukraine or its borders....I care about my borders. Hell, nowadays most Americans couldn’t find Europe on a map if their life depended upon it. I give us about two generations and we all will be back living in the trees....
