Supply chains: Kick them when they’re down

Have you noticed the dwindling shelves at the grocery store? Are you still waiting on product orders placed months ago? In our household, this is a regular observation. School uniform items like pants and shirts that we ordered for our children last Summer took the better part of four to five months to arrive, and we were left scrambling for approved apparel for them to wear to school this past Fall. This phenomenon is not limited to school uniforms or grocery items either.

The supply chains, which are being artificially suppressed, will most certainly recover as soon as the boot is removed from our necks. This is America, not some lame-ass country.

Was in two different food stores yesterday and I can tell you more and more shelves are empty. Something is rotten Denmark I'd say.

After weekends our local grocery has bare spots on the shelves it looks bad then they must receive a truckload and restock working like ants. I think the store gests less shipments. My last visit to the pharmacy I did a small shop of groceries on the toilet paper aisle it was fairly bare I think the toilet paper scare of 2020 is back. Prices are high that's for sure. Our supply chain is coming from the east, Texas, not from the west or California. When I order something online, I look to see where the vendor is located, and they do have the item midwest and east is good never California.

I work for a supplier for a certain group of businesses. For the past several months, I spend at least half of my day trying to find basic supplies for these businesses -- items that a year or two ago were easy to find. How many do you want? Sure, they'll be there tomorrow. But now, it's well, they say this is expected to arrive on such-and-such-a-date. My stock answer to customers is that, yes, this is the ETA, but honestly, I don't believe anything is in the warehouse until it arrives at the warehouse. And I expect this situation to continue for at least the remainder of 2022, and some folks that know more than I are talking into 2023. But I'm retiring in 2023, so beyond that, who knows. Oh yeah, Let's Go Brandon.

It's gotten so bad that Housewives where I live are stocking up on certain scarce items, then trading them to friends and neighbors who have something they have that is scarce. Try to find Grand Bisquits or Heintz Chili Sauce. I've been hoarding a package of Cream Cheese that is like gold right now. All of us are trying to find something necessary to make a Recipe for our Crockpot or a dessert to take to an event. We now have to go to our neighborhood e-mail and see who has what! Sad but true! I managed to snag 5 Bottles of Heintz Chili Sauce before Christmas when everyone was making Party Appetizers. They were a hot commodity and went fast! When we find something, we now buy in Bulk because we know what our Lady friends are looking for. To heck with Paper products, we go for the Grocery Stash!

The January 6 Narrative is Starting to Unravel 31 replies

The Democrats and the propaganda ministry have tried to portray the events of January 6 as the greatest assault on democracy… in like, forever. But it seems like that narrative is starting to unravel. The unraveling began when many people began to suspect that the whole thing was a setup and started looking into it. It wasn’t law enforcement or MSM journalists investigating -- they could be controlled. It was amateur citizen investigators using the power of the internet.

The power of government rests on ignorance of the people, and it knows this, and therefore will always resist enlightenment. Leo Tolstoy Every nation has its fair share of people with no useful abilities, yet harboring considerable ambition and an insurmountable craving for la dolce vita. The longing is there, but with no means for its realization. So, what they to do? Sooner or later the mediocre find a workable solution: they go into politics. A sufficiently high position in a government structure that doesn’t require any special abilities or talents gives an nearly assured opportunity to receive lucrative benefits, including money, respect, and influence.

A day ago, Vice-President Kamala Harris sat down for a wide-ranging one-on-one interview with NBC’s Craig Melvin. Melvin asked Harris about the Biden administration's lack of progress in the fight against COVID-19. He inquired why they haven't updated guidelines on masks since public health officials acknowledge that cloth masks are not as effective as KN95s and N95s masks. Harris was also asked about Biden’s divisive rhetoric on the Voting Rights Bill during his speech in Atlanta and why the administration hasn’t been able to convince moderate Democrats to vote for their bill.

Given the relatively recent demise of the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians, the Minnesota Vikings should be looking over their shoulder. Western Washington University (WWU), which also has a Viking mascot, is considering dropping it because it’s colonialist and white supremacist and all that, and if they do, the NFL team may soon afterward have to play as the Minnesota Football Team for a while. The College Fix reported Thursday that “Western Washington University may scrap its Viking mascot and is currently conducting an investigation to help make a final decision on the issue.
Supreme Court Does Joe Biden's Dirty Work

Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for companies with 100 or more employees officially went into effect on Monday and companies are scrambling to figure out how to force employees to comply. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is sitting on its hands, refusing to rule, and compelling employers to enforce Biden’s totalitarian mandate. On December 15, 2021 a three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the lower Louisiana federal court only had the authority to block the mandate in the 14 states that had actually filed suit

There is a real possibility that the European Union (EU) will endure major fuel shortages this winter. Record-high electricity prices are currently the norm with no end in sight. Russian president Vladimir Putin astutely understands that the EU heavily relies on Russian natural gas, which the Nord Stream 1 and now 2 (NS2) natural gas pipeline will provide. This $11 billion line to the German coast spanning 764 miles under the Baltic Sea will double the capacity of Russian natural gas and be used as a geopolitical leverage point against Ukraine, Poland, NATO, the EU, and most of all Germany, the largest economy in the EU.

It started in Chicago, where an incredible 91% of union teachers voted to go on strike and refused to do what they get paid to do, which is teach. Then the union walkouts spread to Maryland, New Jersey and California. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a liberal Democrat, has attacked the Chicago teachers unions for "holding kids hostage." She is right. Why doesn't she call a state of emergency and disband the union to save the children from the union terrorists? Or tear up the contract because the unions have violated it? If she did, she would be a hero.
What Issue Was Really at the Heart of
the Civil War, and is it Relevant Today?

Most Americans today have a romanticized (and extraordinarily narrow) historical understanding of the conflict that we call the Civil War. In their imaginations, it goes something like this: With passions inflamed by a moral renaissance in the North regarding the institution of slavery in the South, the two sides decided to go to war over the issue. In the end, the evil South was righteously razed by the armies of the North, and thus, slavery was ended, and the former slaves made American citizens, as Abraham Lincoln intended.
There’s A Reason No One Likes Kamala Harris 38 replies

Most people look at the choice of Kamala Harris for Vice President and scratch their head. “Why would anyone pick a person so wildly devoid of political talent or even the basics of likability?” they wonder. The conventional wisdom is that she checked the right number of boxes to fulfill left-wing interest group demands, which is partially true, of course. Overlooked, however, is how there is one more, rather good and important reason Joe Biden, or really any politician, would pick someone like Harris: because by comparison, you’ll always look better. Harris is such a singularly grating personality that she polls lower than lemon juice on an open wound.
Republican-Appointed Ohio Solicitor General

There were a lot of head-smacking moments during oral arguments before the Supreme Court regarding Joe Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate for companies with more than 100 employees. Even though I know the left wing of the court is packed with totalitarians, it always takes my breath away to hear them opine about how the government should be allowed to exercise almost unlimited power over Americans, and their cavalier attitude about the rights of individuals. What I did not expect to hear was Ohio Solicitor General Ben Flowers—a Republican appointee—arguing before the court that the state essentially has unlimited power to force individuals to take a vaccination.

Make no mistake about it, leftists lie. This is especially true of leftists in politics and the media. In fact, on most any matter dear to the left’s perverse agenda, one is safer assuming that the leftist you’re hearing or reading is lying. Thus, almost no one should’ve been surprised at the wild (and numerous) lies hurled by Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan, Stephen Breyer, and Sonia Sotomayor during oral arguments over the Biden Administration’s private sector Wuhan Virus vaccine mandate.

Former Vice President Mike Pence revealed that he has not spoken to former President Trump since last summer. He suggested that Jan. 6, 2021 marked a souring in their relationship. That day, ahead of the Capitol riot, Trump said that Pence 'didn't have the courage' to object to the election results during Congress' certification. Fox News' Jesse Waters asked Pence when the last time he spoke to Trump was on his show Thursday evening. 'You know, we talked last summer,' Pence said. 'And, you know, I've said many times, it was difficult. Jan. 6 was difficult. It was a tragic day in the life of the nation.'

King admitted that he had sold some firearms, but stressed that they were mostly long guns that other Amish could use for hunting. He noted that he sold some to non-Amish too. He added, “I was not dealing in handguns, positively not.” The Blaze noted that King “[did not] advertise the sale of his guns online and
