A House candidate endorsed by former President Donald Trump handily defeated Rep. Liz Cheney in a Republican Party straw poll in Wyoming, according to a report.
Harriet Hageman, whom Trump endorsed in September to challenge Cheney in the Republican primary, won the straw poll conducted by the Wyoming Republican State Central Committee with 59 votes, the Casper Star-Tribune reported on Saturday. Cheney came in a distant second with six votes. The incumbent drew Trump’s ire when she voted — along with nine other Republicans — to impeach the former president on Jan. 13

Straw polls are very unreliable.

A little bit of good news on this Monday morning. Whether it holds is another matter but it is delicious to think that Liz may be going to get her just rewards. Come on, Wyoming show this arrogant liar the door. No one deserves it more.

At the very least, Liz has proven to her constituents that she is more invested in Washington's anti-Trump intrigue than in the causes they care about, such as cattle farming, oil and gas production, mining, and holding back the liberal environmentalist front.

I believe that a ham sandwich could beat Cheney at this point. She is almost persona non grata in Wyoming.

Every time Lizzy’s name is mentioned in an article, it is followed by the words “she voted to impeach Donald Trump.” Are these words suppose to be the reason why she is losing support! Let me tell you. This women is a nut job! She is a RINO 24 hrs a day. Has nothing to do with impeachment. She is bonkers

This is very good news. Conservatives and the GOP cannot afford to indulge RINOs at this point in our nation's history. This generation of dems are thugs, who will exploit RINOs for the weak link they are. Maybe someday the 'reach across the aisle' crowd will be welcome again, but not now.

The only reason she was popular was because of Dick. People are even getting tired of Dick now.

Straw polls might be unreliable, however they sure do singe the tootsies of the incumbent when they don't win it. Wanna bet that Trump at some time in the past has donated to her campaign funds?

Lizzie does have a home in Virginia 23 minutes from D.C. Her kids go to a private school there that costs $30,000 a year. Her husband is a lawyer for Big Pharma and a lobbyist. Both of them are part of the Swamp! Enough said!

We seem to still follow ‘polls’ no matter how slanted and manipulative they are proven to be. Regardless, it is highly unlikely that Liz Cheney will be re-elected and guess what, Liz. The Democrats could not care less about your future. They are too busy using you to attack Trump. At least you can tell your grandchildren about what a hero you were.

Liz knows that she's going to lose her seat, but also that she will be lionized and rewarded by the establishment.

As is the case with Sniffy-Feely Joe, they could run a two-year-old Beagle against Cheney and knock her out of her job because she's that bad at it - unless she has had a better offer from the Deep State and is making progress according to their definition..

After all she's done, Liz Cheney doesn't have a chance of surviving the primaries. She couldn't get elected Dog Catcher. She's toast.
