As I write, on January 6, 2022, I’m reminded that sometimes government doesn’t go right.
Too often, it has been because of oppression — governments only caring about some of the people and riding roughshod over the rest. They paper over the tyranny with the appearance of legality, deepening the oppression by requiring mental and spiritual enslavement to the this caricature as if it were legitimate.
But even well-conceived nations can err. Constitutionalists know that even the best systems of law will miscarry. Juries get it wrong, sometimes wrongly convicting innocent people, sometimes failing to convict real criminals.

Suffer the Children -- Part 1 (Reprise)
[Begin live feed from the White House to the nation’s junior high school classrooms and remote learning centers.]
Hi boys and girls. Welcome to my home. I’m your Aunt Jill in Washington. I help your Uncle Sam take care of you and your mom, and your dad, too, if he hasn’t run off yet.
Today I want to introduce someone special, a person who can spend our way out of debt, achieve world peace through abject submission, and cause the stock market to plummet with a single mangled sentence. The president of the United States, my husband, Joe Biden:
[Feed switches to the Command and Control bunker deep beneath the White House. The president is wearing a headset and sitting at a console with HD monitors showing real-time views of an FBI raid. He is issuing orders. At a break in the action, he swivels to face the camera, covers his mic, and whispers]
“Hey, kids. Good to see you. Hold on a sec. I’m just finishing up here.”
[The president turns back to direct the closing moments of the operation: “Zulu 1, secure perimeter. Zulu 2, white SUV fleeing north on First Street. Track it down and arrest the occupants. Bravo 1: Standoff See-Through Radar® showing targets hiding in a bathroom on the second floor. Body signatures confirmed. Wrap them up. All teams: transport detainees ASAP to the DC hellhole where the J6 prisoners are rotting.”
[The president removes his headset, turns to the camera again, smiles, and speaks.]

The left hates America, the Constitution, our history and in particular me most of all. There will never be a reconciliation between the two sides . This madness has gone too far. We will probably have to eventually choose up sides and do it again.

I enjoyed the history of the Rabbis, and the author makes some good points. But in the end, he seems to be saying sit down and shut up. He's seen no compelling evidence of election fraud, so there wasn't any. Where was the adherence to the Constitution when Nanzi Pelosi despotically certified Balack Osama's eligibility to run for President? Where is the Constitutional right of the Jan 6th captives to a fair trial before a jury of their peers? Why were several Trump connected people the victim of unreasonable search and seizure? A Constitution is only as good as the people enforcing it. And with Reichsminister Garland and the Supine Corpse....we're in serious trouble.

FTA: "But as plausible and as likely as this seemed, this was in the end a question of law, demanding not only plausibility but solid proof, robust enough to withstand the most withering cross-examination and still persuade jurors beyond a reasonable doubt.
To this day, that has not come."
This is simply untrue. There is never absolute proof in criminal cases. But there is more than ample evidence to show beyond any reasonable doubt of massive, coordinated, election overturning, coup against the Constitution election fraud.
The problem is that it has never had its day in court.

FTA, the very last sentence - "With faith in our Constitution and in our own ability to rededicate ourselves and restore ourselves in the light of the One who asks us to manage our own affairs justly and well, we can lead our country out of this darkness once again."
A very inspiring passage by Klatzkin. I fervently hope that America can restore itself by simply having faith in its founding principles.

This kind of thinking is very reason we are in this nightmare. The evidence IS there but it has never had a fair consideration. Democrats, the media and our own have blocked every avenue that is required in order for the massive irregularities and that term is trifling when you consider everything that was done election night for it to be examined. We don’t ask for anything but a fair hearing of the evidence and if it does not rise to the level of election theft, so be it. However, President Trump and his supporters deserve a chance to be heard. Had this administration not barreled down the communist path that might be a different matter but it has made so many decisions that will negatively impact this country for generations going forward and has put the Republic in grave peril, the high road might have made sense. Now, it does not. We cannot acquiesce to the cancer this illegitimate party has introduced in the government or it will be the death of the Republic. A question for the author. Why has no one urged the democrat party to allow a full hearing on the evidence if they have nothing to fear? We understand the seriousness of the charges and because of that it is imperative that transparency is required. If the democrat party actually stole votes in order to win, there is nothing more serious than that because the line that they crossed is immoral and lawless. The door to justice swings both ways and Republicans should not be badgered to just let it go for the good of the country. The question of election integrity of the 2020 will hang over this country forever if the evidence is never allowed to be presented. This grave injustice must be righted. Put it out there and let the people decide. If it doesn’t rise to the level of election fraud, so be it. It seems to me that millions of Americans deserve more than a brush off. How is a knee jerk rejection of evidence a noble response? The question remains, what are the democrats afraid of? If we can weather the storm Biden and his cabal have created in a year and it has been a Cat 5, we can weather full disclosure of a real inquiry of the evidence of voter fraud. Lastly, Republicans are tired of taking it on the chin and allowing the democrats to run amok because they are using the media to silence us. The Republic will survive a hearing but I am not sure it can survive this illegitimate administration.

Sorry, there is a fatal flaw in the essential premise of this article (i.e., accept the official results of the election and trust in the constitution to peacefully resolve any injustices). That assumes that the judicial and governmental processes presumably guaranteed by the constitution will be allowed to proceed unhindered. That has not been, nor is it now, the case.
I do indeed trust the constitution. I do NOT trust the current judicial, congressional, and executive government officials who have taken the oath to protect and enforce that constitution.
In point of fact, throughout each of those branches of our government, there has been a coordinated and concerted effort to thwart and defeat all reasonable efforts to address asserted wrongdoing. Election laws and processes have been corrupted. Records have been destroyed. Audits have not been permitted or severely restricted. Legal cases have been dismissed out of hand for absurd "lack of standing". Excuse me, but EVERY citizen of the United States has standing when it comes to the verifiability of elections and rightful voters!
The argument that we must blindly accept any result of any election or we are "attacking democracy" is simply false. The phrase "Trust but Verify" should be the operative one. I will trust (and accept) the results of an election, when we have protections in place to openly and fully verify it.

“But the January 6 riot was a surrender to a nihilistic despair that our Constitution could not work after all after it had been trashed without any seeming consequence for the previous four years. Our side blinked, accepting the premise that the Constitution did not really transcend our differences. We had accepted premise of those we had opposed on principle, the premise that we really are two irreconcilable sides rather than one nation.“
Emphatically, NO.
‘Our side’ did not blink. The minute we watched Capitol Police on the TV live feed open the US Capitol doors and usher people in one side, as others were causing havoc on the other side of the Capitol, WE knew this was not Trump Supporters dressed in riot gear causing havoc!

Government is by definition "oppressive". Our Constitution is a promise that has been broken over the years when "necessary", with the support of SCOTUS. Government is ALWAYS looking for new and novel ways to usurp liberty, for the sake of a safe, sane society. If you believe otherwise, you may want to re-think your belief. Government has NEVER expanded liberty.
Americans are far too trusting of government. Our government was built on a foundation of mistrust, including checks and balances with three co-equal branches. It is the product of revolution, and maintained by public conflict.
We are not "united" and never have been except in times of major international war. Free people are under no obligation to agree on anything. However, a nation has an obligation to defend itself and its national culture.

The Constitution itself is as fine a guide to government as could be written, it's the people in charge of applying it to our society that are at fault. The ancient Greek question still remains unanswered, "Who will guard the guardians?"
Joe and his filthy bunch of lunatic communists are doing the worst possible job for America ever and their campaign of destruction is not close to being finished. Democrats have revealed to us that they are afraid of an insurrection. Let's show them why.

How low can they go?...all in the name of trying to stir up a coup on the government...pit black against white...republicans against democrats...confused gender against straight...tall against small...to what end?...it seems to me that the Magoo staff is looking for an excuse to install martial law...and they were hoping that conservatives were gonna arm themselves and fight...BUT...WE're law abiding and WE don't rob and loot and burn...that's the democrats....so nervous Nancy's attempt at martial law didn't work...even with her secret service/FBI agents trying to gin up the crowd Jan6....WE now know who they are...and some day they will pay for their actions...

The fundamental error in the logic of the article is the assumption that if the Right abides The Law, so will the Left. Only a fool would believe that.

Perhaps a bit off topic. A constitution, like a treaty, is only as good as the enforcement mechanisms and the willingness of the parties involved to not only abide by said documents, but to enforce them. The flaw in our system is that for or Republic to function, it requires honor, integrity and morality. Traits sadly lacking nationwide, let alone among the ruling class. Checks and balances are fantastic, providing that those responsible do their jobs with honor and integrity.
I can't trust the system, simply because far to many people are gaming the system. Bending or breaking the laws for their own gain, and selectively enforcing the laws on their opponents.
Our constitutional republic is broken. I don't know how to fix it without burning it all down and starting over again.

The true reason election fraud never got traction (regardless of evidence)? Easy, very sad answer. Too many people wished Trump gone and they didn't care how the "removal" was accomplished. When an obvious coup d'état transpired, those who were granted their wish found expedience in denial of any possible shenanigans.
Today, with our economy, institutions, culture, in free-fall. there are pockets of buyer's remorse.
But it remains... supporting "the ends justify the means" is a dangerous path to go down.
Deny reality. Later, one may attempt denial of the consequences.
