A new study out of Columbia University says the Omicron variant is “markedly resistant” to vaccines and boosters might not do much to help, spelling bad news for the country as Omicron spreads and COVID-19 cases rise nationally. “A striking feature of this variant is the large number of spike mutations that pose a threat to the efficacy of current COVID-19 vaccines and antibody therapies,” according to the study authored by more than 20 scientists at Columbia and the University of Hong Kong.(Snip)The scientists express concern in the study published Wednesday that the variant’s “extensive” mutations can “greatly compromise” the vaccine, even neutralizing it.

Sounds like another excuse to continue mail-in ballots...it is "vaccine" resistant, good -- let's start using therapeutics -- and let's also clarify that it is about as dangerous as the common cold.

The shots don't work on this variant...if you get it, the symptoms are very mild...BUT...you MUST get vaccinated or you will get fired, won't be able to travel, and will be a murderer...

I think it was March of 2020 that I heard the first virologist warning against "vaccinating into the teeth of a pandemic" as it would assist the virus to defeat the vaccines by mutations. And yet, led by the infamous and incompetent Dr. Fraud....they did it anyway.
And now all these "smart folks" prove that that are ignorant as hell, and didn't BOTHER to listen to the actual experts in virology before recommending this expensive and worthless course of action.
And this doesn't even mention the hideous death and injury rate from their poorly thought out, minimally and fraudulently tested non-vaccine "vaccines" which use a previously untried technology of mRNA.
The old doctor's "Oath" which they clearly don't give one damn about any more, WAS "First, do no harm."
Sadly, docs have done massive amounts of harm in the last two years, and I don't trust many of them as far as I can throw them. I'm going to get a new doc as soon as she can finish disentangling herself from her current corrupt practice and set up her own private practice. I'll bet that a lot of people will be shopping for a new doctor in the next year or three. A lot of doctors have a lot to answer for in mistreating and harming patients by following the damned CDC, NIH and FDA frauds.

I read the article but didn't really see anything about natural immunity. It all seemed to be related to vaccines and boosters. Maybe I missed something?

Natural immunity is one of the dogs that didn't bark in this article, #4. The other one is the relatively non-lethality of Omicron. If it's not especially serious and getting it provides strong natural immunity, Omicron just may be the antidote to the vaccine idiocy.

Omicron is the vaccine. It just isn’t quite as week as a formal vaccine. Vaccines are supposed to cause natural immunity. mRNA isn’t a vaccine and causes limited immunity. Why is this so hard for the medical community when I as a mere engineer understand it.

IMO "least bad" would be to contract a mild case of Omicron (aka Xi), and build up a better immunity than the narrow mRNA vaccines can provide. I'm not a medical doctor, so consult one whom you trust.

For those of you who have previously had the first two vaccinations, I read a very credible article today on medicalxpress.com about a study that indicates that "breakthrough" infections (i.e., people previously vaccinated who get and survive the virus subsequently) acquired "super immunity" against variants much stronger in antibodies than getting a booster. This actually makes sense.

The next variant is going to have tentacles, instead of spikes, and it will crawl up your nose.

I've read just the opposite, #8, but I hope you are right. I'm currently recovering from some version of the Wuhan, thanks to the Ivermectin I took and the monoclonal antibodies I received (and no thanks to the two worthless shots of Pfizershitz I received last April)

Don't think Covid wasn't designed to mutate...and those mutations are designed to kill!

Antibody-dependent enhancement. Omicron is from the jab.

How handy the article is to entice the population into getting a stroke or heart disease by getting a booster.

They say the shots don't work, but in the next breath they add that people should get boosters. Science sure is complicated these days.
