New York Times columnist Bret Stephens wrote in a column on Tuesday that President Joe Biden should not seek reelection in 2024. In a piece entitled, “Biden Should Not Run Again — and He Should Say He Won’t,” Stephens also called the president “alarmingly incoherent.” For an author at The New York Times to beg Biden to step aside so other Democrats can prepare for the next presidential contest, is, to say the least, unprecedented. It must also be unnerving for Democrats.

It has not been a good couple of days for Democrats. Two days ago, the 5th Circuit delivered a stunning rebuke of the Biden administration, denying their appeal of Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. Yesterday, Adam Schiff got caught doctoring text messages during a January 6th committee hearing. Then today, the thermonuclear bomb went off. Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda was officially shelved after an agreement with Joe Manchin couldn’t be reached. On that note, my prediction that Manchin would stall things out into next year proved correct, and I still believe his ultimate goal is to kill it entirely in the softest way possible.

The United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack admitted Wednesday that it had doctored a text message cited by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) in his push Monday to hold former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in contempt. The Federalist’s Sean Davis first reported Wednesday morning that Schiff had manipulated the text message, cutting out the full context and adding punctuation into it, which he falsely implied was authored by a Republican lawmaker. As Breitbart News summarized:

With Brandon being so terrible, there’s already starting to be some speculation over which Republican will defeat him in 2024.
While most Republicans prefer Trump, a substantial number would like to see DeSantis run. That has led to some worries over if the MAGA base will be deleteriously affected by primary in which the two champions of the MAGA agenda are pitted against each other, something Trump has indicated he doubts will happen.Still, however, if the two do decide to run and end up fighting, that could have some serious negative consequences and splinter the most enthusiastic members of the MAGA coalition.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) appears to have doctored evidence that he cited in Monday evening’s hearing at the January 6 committee, just as Schiff infamously did during the impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump in 2019.The committee was discussing its motion to recommend that former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows be held in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over information over which Trump has exerted executive privilege. (The full House voted to hold Meadows in contempt on Tuesday and referred him to the Department of Justice for prosecution.)

President Biden arrived at the epicenter of Kentucky's tornado damage on Wednesday to be greeted by jeers of 'Let's go Brandon' before promising to meet the costs of the state's first 30 days of emergency work. The greeting, which is supposed to stand in for 'f**k Joe Biden,' was a reminder that this corner of Kentucky is deep red, and voted overwhelmingly for former President Donald Trump in the election last year. But the president paid no attention as he toured a downtown reduced to mounds of rubble and piles of logs by tornadoes five days ago. The death toll in Kentucky stands at 74 -

More than 1,500 previously classified JFK assassination files have today been made public, including documents about killer Lee Harvey Oswald's contact with a KGB agent two months before the shooting. The files were released at noon on Wednesday by the National Archives, after months of delays by Biden who had promised to make them public but then stalled, claiming COVID backlogs was the reason. Not all of them are now public - some are still being held back for further review by the NSA until next December, a move that has been slammed by members of Kennedy's family.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.—The little red wagon was strewn upside down on a heap of rubble — a pile of boards and bricks, a mangled blue bicycle, a baby doll.Behind it, there was little more than a hole in the ground where a house had stood. Across the street, the tidy homes on this cul-de-sac were reduced to mounds of lumber. Clothes hung from the branches of snapped trees. The walls of one house were gone, and the only thing left standing inside was a white Christmas tree. When a tornado touched down in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in the middle of the night, its violence was centered on this friendly subdivision,
