Over 90% of the more than 3.5 million federal workers covered by President Joe Biden’s Covid vaccine mandate will have received at least one dose by the government’s deadline, White House coronavirus response coordinator Jeff Zients said at a briefing Monday.
The “vast majority of those employees” are fully vaccinated, meeting the Biden administration’s Nov. 22 deadline for all federal workers to complete their Covid shots, a senior administration official wrote in an email to CNBC. The federal workforce has reached 95% compliance with the requirement between those who have received at least one vaccine dose and employees who’ve filed for an exception or a deadline extension, the official added.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk offered a flippant response to being sued for $162 million by JP Morgan Chase, threatening the nation’s biggest bank with a “one star review on Yelp.”
In the lawsuit, filed Nov. 15 in the US District Court of the Southern District of New York, JPMorgan accused Musk’s electric car company Tesla of stiffing the bank on a trade that JPMorgan helped arrange in 2014.
In a statement, JPMorgan said, “We have provided Tesla multiple opportunities to fulfill its contractual obligations, so it is unfortunate that they have forced this issue into litigation.”
Musk struck a more joking tone.

After being found not guilty on all counts last Friday, an announcement that Kyle Rittenhouse would sit down with Tucker Carlson to give an exclusive interview rocked the news world. Fox News had apparently been filming the teenager throughout the trial, and tonight, the exchange went live, with Rittenhouse revealing all the details of exactly what happened and where he stands.
One interesting aspect of the saga is just how close Rittenhouse came to being completely screwed over by Lin Wood. After the shootings initially happened, Wood quickly began fundraising off the event. That entire time, Rittenhouse was left rotting in jail.

CBS' "Face the Nation" had to issue a correction after a reporter claimed on Sunday that Kyle Rittenhouse crossed state lines "armed for battle" ahead of his deadly encounter in Kenosha, Wis.
In the initial report, reporter Mark Strassman suggested Rittenhouse crossed state lines, from Illinois into Wisconsin, with a gun in his possession. However, court testimony and police interviews revealed that the Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle Rittenhouse used during the Kenosha riots was already in the city ahead of his trip.
"Lots to unpack here, this country’s ongoing moment of racial reckoning, vigilantism, and self-defense claims from armed people who deputize themselves," Strassman added.

Thomas Jefferson is no longer in the room where it happens.
Art handlers packed up an 884-pound statue of Jefferson in a wooden crate Monday after a mayoral commission voted to banish the likeness of the nation’s third president from City Hall where its resided for nearly two centuries—because he owned slaves. About a dozen workers with Marshall Fine Arts spent several hours carefully removing the painted plaster monument from its pedestal inside the City Council chambers and surrounding it with sections of foam and wooden boards.
They then lowered the massive structure down the stairs leading to the building’s first-floor rotunda with a pulley system

Doesn't anyone on the inside of the White House have the guts to tell the emperor that he has no clothes? With Christmas coming, is there any hope that the ghost of the Christmas future will show the man the nightmare he is creating? Where is Moses when you need someone to plead for his people? That's what America needs right now, someone to shout until President Biden hears - "LET OUR PEOPLE GO!"
In fact, if Ben Franklin had gotten his way, the Great Seal of the United States would have featured Moses leading his people through the Red Sea and away from tyranny instead of a bald eagle.

There's nothing like a smarmy, smug leftist who's realized he's cooked his own goose.
That brings us to the case of Chesa Boudin, the district attorney of San Francisco, who's effectively legalized shoplifting in the name of "criminal justice reform." He's prompted massive store closures with ugly videos of broad-daylight robberies on large and small stores. Boudin's refusal to prosecute has turned San Francisco into another socialist crime pit, Caracas. And now, like his mentor Hugo Chávez, he's facing a voter recall.
This seems to be concentrating his mind, given that he's suddenly changing his tune — and comically enough, fooling no one.

Ever since the Ringside Politics program started 22 years ago, we have enjoyed an annual tradition. Every year, during Thanksgiving week, we announce our Turkey of the Year winner. Our previous award recipients have included both celebrities and politicians, as well as Republicans and Democrats.
Our 2020 winner was former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. He was chosen for combining sanctimonious media performances with shady ethical conduct and potentially criminal behavior involving numerous female victims. Eventually, his unacceptable activity involving these women contributed to his forced resignation.
Like Andrew Cuomo our 2021 award winner is a real turkey in every respect.

Darrell Edward Brooks, the mass murderer who ran over 45+ people in a Christmas parade, should have been in jail, for several reasons.
Brooks has a lengthy rap sheet which includes felony reckless endangerment and a felony possession of a weapon. PJ Media’s Gwendolyn Sims reported on Brooks yesterday. Most recently, Brooks was arrested for running over a female friend in what is described as a domestic abuse case. The complaint states Brooks followed his girlfriend to a gas station after a fight and, as the victim put it, “ran her over with his vehicle.” She was hospitalized for her injuries.

I drove over to the Nordstrom in Nashville’s Green Hills neighborhood today, intending to do a little early Hanukkah and Christmas shopping, but there was so much traffic heading into the parking structure that I just gave up. Maybe it was due to those supply-chain fears. And this was only a day after between 50 and 80 looters, according to first-hand reports, invaded a Nordstrom in Walnut Creek, California, pepper spraying and punching people who got in their way before they made off with their booty in waiting cars. San Francisco Bay was hit by a third day of shocking looting, with a gang of thieves smashing glass cases at a jewelry store and emptying them as staff screamed in terror. The latest incident happened at a Sam's Jewelers store at the Southland Mall in Hayward around 5:30pm PST Sunday evening, and was caught on camera. Robbers—said to have been part of a gang of around 40 to 50 teens who entered the mall—wielded hammers to smash display cases at Sam's, before making off with goods. Findings from the New York State Assembly’s impeachment investigation of Andrew Cuomo released Monday revealed a string of abuses of power by the former governor, including sexual harassment, the use of staff to write his book, and a cover-up of COVID-19 nursing home deaths.
The eight-month probe found “overwhelming evidence that the former governor engaged in sexual harassment,” according to the 46-page report.

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) could rule as early as Monday on Texas’ ‘heartbeat’ law, S.B. 8, banning abortions after about six weeks gestation, the Associated Press reported. On Nov. 1, the high court heard oral arguments for two separate cases surrounding the law – Whole Woman’s Health v. Texas and United States v. Texas. The latter is the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) lawsuit against the state over the constitutionality of S.B. 8.As the AP notes, SCOTUS put both cases on a “rarely used fast track,” which heightens the expectation that decisions on the cases would “come sooner than the months the justices usually spend

The trial of the three men accused of slaying Ahmaud Arbery has Black Americans walking on pins and needles once again. Whatever the jury decides, I’m afraid, will fail to address a damming question that the tragic incident symbolizes: How can Black people ever be secure in America? Executed by three strangers while jogging in a white neighborhood, Arbery’s killing reflects the mindset of domination in the culture of white supremacy: the belief that any random white person has the right to accost and detain a Black person with impunity. Authorities are ready to accept their claims of righteous endangerment–even

The last Kmart in Michigan closed Sunday, putting an official end to a longtime Michigan staple. Located in Marshall, a suburb of Battle Creek with a population a little more than 7,000, at 15861 Michigan Ave., it has been the last Kmart in Michigan since 2020. It was the only national big-box retailer in the immediate area, likely what allowed it to stay in business until now. You can go in and buy a birthday present if you need to, without going out of town," said Brenda Hoyt, Marshall resident, in a previous Free Press article. "Clothes, toys, projects for

The 'person of interest' in Sunday's SUV attack in Waukesha, Wisconsin is Darrell Brooks, a 39-year-old amateur rapper from Milwaukee who was bailed out of jail days before allegedly plowing through crowds at a Christmas parade, killing five people and injuring dozens more. Brooks was detained shortly after a red SUV ploughed into the annual Christmas parade in the town of Waukesha, leaving at least five people dead and 40 injured - including at least 12 children on Sunday night.

From Canada comes this ridiculous story about an academic grant to study pre-scientific methods of preventing cancer. One could say that the only important thing in this story is the dollar figure: $1.2 million. Academic institutions exist in large part as slush funds to funnel cash into the hands of liberal constituencies. I am pretty sure that any humor in what follows is unintentional.

Last night, an unimaginable horror visited Waukesha, WI as a red SUV plowed into a parade, striking children and adults alike. At least five people are dead per the latest reports. The assailant has been identified as Darrell E. Brooks, a “rapper” with a long history of criminal conduct.A look at Brooks’ criminal record is eye-opening and includes counts related to domestic and sexual abuse. Videos on his social media also point to him having black nationalist views, including promoting the “revolution.”

In Chile, the presidential election was straightforward: communism, or liberty. Pick one or the other. No soggy middle.
So guess which one got the most votes?
Yep, liberty, and I'm not talking about some namby-pamby nice-guy RINO kind of liberty, respectable at Santiago cocktail parties. It was 100-proof hard stuff liberty, prompting shudders from the press.
The Associated Press reports this:
SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — Two onetime outsiders hailing from opposite extremes of the political spectrum received the most votes Sunday in Chile’s presidential election but failed to garner enough support for an outright win, setting up a polarizing runoff in the region’s most advanced economy.

Biden administration climate czar John Kerry is drawing scrutiny from Republicans for downplaying and trying to derail legislation against China’s use of Uyghur forced labor, from which Kerry and his wife seem to benefit financially.
The Biden administration is officially against China’s use of forced labor from its Uyghur minority population, which Chinese companies are suspected of using in the manufacturing of solar panel parts.

Joe Biden thinks that a normal Midwest family is a group of domestic terrorists, if they peacefully guard their family business against rioters, arsonists, and looters. (snip) Again and again, Darrell Brooks – the alleged driver in the Waukesha parade killings - was caught, processed, and intentionally released. Despite a history that demonstrates his ongoing threat to the community, charges were repeatedly dropped or pled down, sentences were reduced to time served (such as, in one case, just nineteen days), and he was always given work-release, probation, and bail, despite a record of continuing to perpetrate violations whenever he was set free.

The Lodi School District official who asked police to respond to an orderly school board meeting earlier this month said police presence would make a board member “feel better.”
“We would like to have a Lodi officer up at the district office,” Maureen Palmer, administrative assistant to District Administrator Vince Breunig says in a 911 call November 8 to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department. The audio was obtained by Empower Wisconsin.
“He does not have to come lights and sirens, we just want to have him present at our board meeting the way it’s going,” Palmer says.

As we reported earlier, there was a horrible attack Sunday night in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which a man driving a red SUV mowed down more than 20 people who were participating in the town’s Christmas parade. There were multiple fatalities but officials announced at a press conference that they won’t be releasing more specifics about even the number of deaths until the families have been notified.
Multiple reports, relying on scanner traffic on Broadcastify, claimed that a Waukesha police officer reported that the driver of the SUV was a black male. “There’s a car going westbound approaching the parade course. A red Escape. Black male. I couldn’t stop him.

Kyle Rittenhouse shot three black men. Kyle Rittenhouse traveled across state lines with a gun. Kyle Rittenhouse had an AK-47.
These are three examples of false information being spread about Rittenhouse, whose trial ended last week with his acquittal.
Prominent influencers, including lawmakers and reporters, are sources of some of the misinformation—possibly disinformation—leaving experts troubled.
On CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, reporter Mark Strassman falsely said Rittenhouse “drove in from Illinois armed for battle.” On CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” on Friday, Harvard University professor Cornell William Brooks falsely said Rittenhouse was carrying an AK-47. The Independent falsely reported late last week that Rittenhouse shot three black men.

It’s often said that Americans agree on almost nothing these days, a sign of the times. But that’s not entirely true. There’s one topic on which there’s near-unanimous agreement: Inflation. Americans of all political persuasions expect prices to shoot up over the next year.
The data are unequivocal: In our November I&I/TIPP Poll, 84% said “over the next year prices for gasoline, food, and other household products” would be “much higher” or “somewhat higher” than today. Only 8% thought they’d be lower, while 5% weren’t sure.
The big surprise comes from those who expect “much higher” prices (48%), compared to

In the spring following 9/11, the War on Terror had already begun, and I was taking a college course on the Vietnam War. It was a unique course for the time, as most of us didn’t attend the live class, but students were given a choice to purchase the lectures on DVD or, as I did, go to the library and watch them on VHS. It was a great course, but what was most memorable was our Yahoo Groups private message board for the class. It was here where most of the discourse took place.

A hypersonic weapon test carried out by China in July featured a missile fired at five times the speed of sound - a technological feat which no other country has demonstrated, according to US intelligence. The hypersonic glide vehicle - a spacecraft with the ability to carry a nuclear warhead - fired a missile mid-flight over the South China Sea, catching Pentagon scientists unawares.Experts at Darpa - the Pentagon's advanced research agency - are apparently still baffled at how China was able to defy the constraints of physics to fire a weapon from the vehicle travelling at hypersonic speed, the Financial Times reports.

Less than 24 hours after the Congressional Budget Office announced that the “Build Back Better” (BBB) bill will increase the federal deficit by $367 billion, House Democrats passed the $1.75 trillion legislation with no GOP votes. This bill, essentially a far left wish list of climate and social spending boondoggles, will certainly exacerbate inflation if passed by the Senate. Thus the absence of public support for BBB. A new Harvard/Harris poll asked registered voters, “Do you think a $1.5 to $2 trillion dollar social spending bill will lead to more inflation, less inflation, or would it have no effect on inflation?” A majority (56%) answered, “More.”

HARARE, Zimbabwe — At a busy market in a poor township outside Harare this week, Nyasha Ndou kept his mask in his pocket, as hundreds of other people, mostly unmasked, jostled to buy and sell fruit and vegetables displayed on wooden tables and plastic sheets. As in much of Zimbabwe, here the coronavirus is quickly being relegated to the past, as political rallies, concerts and home gatherings have returned. “COVID-19 is gone, when did you last hear of anyone who has died of COVID-19?”

A new poll suggests that actor Matthew McConaughey could defeat either incumbent Republican Greg Abbott or Democrat hopeful Beto O'Rourke in a race for the Texas governor's office. The poll from the University of Texas and Dallas Morning News found that McConaughey is preferred in both one-on-one matchups, but that Abbott would win in a three-way race. McConaughey, who lives in Austin, has teased a run for governor for months but has not said whether he would make one as a Republican or a Democrat. The 52-year-old Oscar-winning actor keeps his political views close to the vest, but his prior remarks suggest that he is moderate to conservative-leaning.

Axios says there’s a media “reckoning” over coverage of the Steele dossier after the partisan oppo document’s primary source was charged with lying to the FBI. “It’s one of the most egregious journalistic errors in modern history,” writes Sara Fischer, “and the media’s response to its own mistakes has so far been tepid.” “Tepid” is a nice way of putting it.
