Republican senators filibustered a major voting bill on Wednesday, blocking Democrats' plans to allow same-day voter registration and to make Election Day a holiday. It is the third time Democrats have tried to overhaul voting laws this year and the third time Republicans blocked them. The issue has become one of the key battle lines in American politics since then President Trump claimed he had been robbed of election victory last year by voter fraud. Vice President Kamala Harris was present for the vote and said Democrats would keep pushing for reform.'We’re not going to give up,' she said.

Americans are pointing a finger at President Joe Biden's policies when asked what's responsible for the rising inflation. A Politico/Morning Consult poll released Wednesday found that 62 per cent of registered voters assigned a lot or some blame to the Biden administration when asked who was responsible for the 13-year high. Broken down, 40 per cent of those surveyed said the Biden administration's policies were very responsible, while another 22 per cent said the policies were somewhat responsible.

Human remains have been found in the hunt for fugitive Brian Laundrie, the 23-year-old fiancé of murdered Gabby Petito, five weeks after he went on the run in an alligator-infested Florida swamp and on the day his parents joined investigators in the nature reserve together for the first time. The grim discovery was made on Wednesday afternoon in the Carlton reserve in Florida, near Laundrie's home, along with a backpack and notebook. Until Tuesday, the reserve had been sealed off to the public while investigators searched for any sign of him. It reopened on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning, Laundrie's mother and father, Roberta and Chris, joined the search

Failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has a new book she’s promoting called “State of Terror,” and last night she appeared on a Zoom event alongside novelist Louise Penny, who she teamed up with for the book, and another failed Democratic nominee – Stacey Abrams, who lost her bid to be Georgia’s governor in 2018 in a race she has still to this day refused to concede.Abrams was the moderator of the Zoom call, as it turns out, and at one point apparently feeling like she was connecting with a kindred spirit, Clinton proclaimed as Abrams often has that she felt Abrams “actually won” that 2018 race

Fox News host Neil Cavuto, 63, has contracted a breakthrough case of the coronavirus despite reportedly being heavily immunocompromised, raising concerns over his health given the recent passing from COVID of Colin Powell, 84, who too had been vaccinated and immunocompromised.
Cavuto, who hosts shows on both Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, remains optimistic over his fate nevertheless. In a statement issued to the media Tuesday, he touted his decision to get vaccinated as surefire proof that “I’m surviving this.”“While I’m somewhat stunned by this news, doctors tell me I’m lucky as well. Had I not been vaccinated, and with all my medical issues,

After spending weeks on ships stuck off the coast of the United States, shipping containers are reportedly being dumped in nearby neighborhoods.Since the 24/7 operations of offloading cargo ships in Los Angeles and Long Beach ports have started, new problems arose, such as getting rid of the shipping containers used to transport goods. “Many of the shipping containers that spent weeks onboard ships waiting to be unloaded are now being dumped in nearby neighborhoods once they’re emptied,” CBSLA reported.UCTI Trucking Company, located in Wilmington, California, only has the capacity of holding 65 containers, the report said. If there’s two things that Democrats love in this world, it’s abortion and Planned Parenthood. All Democrats, including Virginia Gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, want women to be able to abort their babies where-ever they want and WHENEVER they want. That is why he is currently panicking. When asked about a potential loss on November 2nd to Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin, the only thing McAuliffe could think about is women aborting their babies.“I’ve spent most of this campaign, if you look at my advertising, what I say on the trail, there’s huge differences, Kate, in this campaign.

Nikki Haley, former Ambassador to the United Nations, is laying the heat on Democratic former governor of Virginia Terry McAuliffe in a new ad campaign. The new ad was put out by Haley’s advocacy group, Stand for America, and takes McAuliffe to task for his position opposing parental involvement in education, and particularly for his statement at the gubernatorial debate last month in which he said he does not “think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”This sentence struck a nerve, and is quoted in the ad, which is titled “You’re a Parent.” The ad focuses on the central role parents play in a child’s life,

The Wall Street Journal wrote Tuesday that President Biden was making another attempt to salvage his stalled legislative agenda by meeting separately with progressive and moderate Democrats. The next sentence was more telling: The moderates were Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.). The progressives were too numerous to mention. If you get the impression there are only two senators holding back the great flood of government waste known variously as “Build Back Better and the “human-infrastructure” package, you’ve got the whole story — as told by the Washington press corps.

President Joe Biden presented a scaled down version of his 'Build Back Better' plans to Democratic lawmakers, which will ax his plans for tuition-free community college. The $2 trillion government-overhaul package instead focuses $500 billion to tackle climate change and money for middle-class priorities - child tax credits, paid family leave, health care and free pre-kindergarten.
But Biden's vision for free community college for all is falling by the wayside, with his flagship child tax credits scheme also likely to be severely-curtailed. 'There will be something for higher education, but it probably won't be the free
