A forthcoming book from bestselling author Mollie Hemingway seeks to set the record straight on what really happened before, during, and after the 2020 election that made the cycle a fraught experience as institutions exerted heavy-handed influence over the process that ended as some of those within Trump's inner circle caused self-inflicted wounds to the president's legal efforts. An excerpt from "Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections" sheds light on what went wrong with President Trump's legal challenge to election results in Pennsylvania, one of the pivotal cases that determined the winner of the 2020 election. Hemingway shares the details —

This is classic. Giuliani was simply echoing the party line that still reverberates. Rudy's a politician, then a lawyer, and a has-been, arguing the political side in a courtroom. Seems the "real lawyers" figured that out quickly and tried to peel off rather than be associate with a circus.
The essential problem was that no one went appealing to the six REPUBLICAN state legislatures, an egregious error, especially after loudly making the argument that these same legislatures had the exclusive Constitutional authority to act. Rather than put those clowns, who I believe were somehow bought off by the UNIPARTY, on the spot, they stuck with bombast and litigation, both in state and Federal venues. One Wisconsin Federal judge, a Trump appointee, even TOLD them to take their case to the legislature. But, no, businessmen and lawyers litigate while politicians bloviate. The legislatures confirmed the Biden electors...the rest is history. How about an "audit"?
Anyone still thinking FPDT will be reinstalled as President anytime before '25?

Incredibly, elections in this country are basically conducted on the honor system. Once the fraud is committed there is really no path to legal remedy; especially if the courts are too chicken or are in on the fraud also. The fraud has to be stopped before the election takes place and that would only happen if we have Republicans with a spine. There are too few of them.

John Roberts always adds the arguments needed to win their case for leftist lawyers, when they don't make them.

There were multiple lawsuits that were brought in PA including those by Phil Klein against the use of Facebook money that was siphoned off by country officials for partisan purposes. Giuliani presented sworn affidavits from hundreds of poll workers who were denied their right to observe and validate the signatures on the mail in ballots as specified by the PA election law. They also observed boxes of mail in ballots brought into the Philly counting center with no chain of custody documentation after the polls were closed. In a normal court proceeding this would be all that was necessary for a judge to schedule an evidentiary hearing where the defendants would be required to respond and witnesses would testify. In a rigged court the judge sides with the defendants before reviewing any evidence that none of this would be enough to change the vote count and we can't just disenfranchise all those PA voters because some people saw a little cheatin' going on. Case dismissed. That's probably how they did it in the ol' South when black folks tried to get justice.
I don't know why someone as smart as Hemmingway would try to make Rudy Giuliani the "Jonah" in the failed attempt to prevent the certification of a fraud by multiple states. From her article its clear that she and most of the people she talked to think the election was stolen but because Rudy is such a clutz the Dems got a way with it. How does that help unify the country?

Nothing makes much sense anymore. Especially the 60-word 1st sentence.

Thank you, #7. A trip into many of these posts about the election fraud are like Alice’s trip down the rabbit hole. I wonder what it is that makes conservatives turn on each other? Is it fear or frustration that makes them lash out? It’s a really ugly trait, and it seems to be on the individual’s own timeline. IOW, if something doesn’t happen when I say it should in the way I say it should, it was all a lie. I was hoping many in our side were made of stronger mettle.

Hold on there, Chochise. A little context please. You had Sidney and a retired US General talking about CIA firefights in Spain. >1000 affidavits from eye witnesses describing a USPS truck transporting ballots from NY to PA. Plain video of Repub ballot watchers getting iced out and tossed out of counting rooms to cheering dem antagonists. You had stone cold video of SKIRTED tables and ballot stuffing.
The bleep show was steaming long before Trump's lawyers dug in.
They had to cut through that, and Rudy chose the course with high visual impact: human beings telling you what they saw and video evidence. And it was bad. And it did not matter. "Could not substantiate with evidence." That is total BS. Every person reading this thread can quote you the evidence.
Now you can say they shoulda pursued the "Equal Protection" route, but not one's gonna convince me it would have made a bit of difference.
Let me tell you something. If those things happen again: ousting ballot watchers, threatening ballot watchers, taping cardboard to windows, USPS trucks stuffed w/ballots, ballot dumps on tables at 2am, you can scream "equal protection" all you want. You are never gonna elect another repub.
Get real.

Sorry, #9, but I have no idea what you are talking about. You must be a respondent on the blog but You are a real disappointment as a man who understands rich and then the rental. You could see your rentals who sponsored them then.
