Food prices across the world have risen to their highest levels in a decade on the back of tightening supply conditions coupled with robust demand, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The FAO’s food price index, which measures world food commodity prices, has surged by 32.8 percent in the 12 months through September, coming in at a reading of 130 points, a level not seen since 2011. (snip)
Accounting for the bulk of the rise in the index were higher prices of most cereals and vegetable oils.(snip)Dairy and sugar prices also rose in September by an over-the-year 15.2 percent and 53.5 percent,

Well past time to take corn out of gasoline, where it is now used 12 months a year and up to 15% of volume thanks to one of handful of bad decisions by Trump. Unfortunately, neither the leftists in the EPA, Biden nor the corn industry will permit such a common sense reversal.
And don’t replace corn with ethanol, since both additives reduce a car’s gasoline mileage while providing little in the way of cost benefit. Save the coarse corn for animal feed while reducing the consumption of gasoline.

Everything is higher, if you can find it. And I mean EVERYTHING. And while some have received raises or better starting pay it has totally been wiped out because of inflation. Energy at all levels, food, clothing, building materials, electronics, Christmas toys, medication and on and on. But according to the Let's Go Branden Administration this is progress. 5,000,000 fewer workers, progress. Gas over $1 more a gallon (when we were energy independent under Trump), progress. Food, smaller packages higher prices, progress. It is just my husband and me. While I grumble over the prices I can still buy what I want when I can find it. I do not know how families with children feed them. I have already bought my Thanksgiving dinner and I'm working on Christmas. I am an early Christmas shopper and have been done since June. But I only have one married son with no grandchildren which makes it easier. I don't understand why lightening doesn't strike every time psaki opens her mouth and tells us how wonderful everything is and how lucky we are to have biden in office. Major, major failure.

We have seven in our household. There are a lot of things that I have bought every week for years. We have three stores within a mile from each other and every week I compare the ads and get the items were they are cheapest. Deli items here, meat and vegetables there, canned and paper products at the third, etc. I also track my receipts
Things have been increasing faster the last few months. Now it's about $35 per week over the average last March. There are many things that just aren't available or it's hit or miss. Except for diced tomatoes and tomato paste, everything on our Walmart list this week out of stock.
Add to this the $90 extra each month to fill the tank in order to get to work, the pinch of inflation really hurts.

Biden, both the moron and the “doctor”, the entire swamp, Obama’s and their worshippers in Hollywood and D.C. are incapable of realizing how these price increases affect regular Americans. These idiots do not care about you and me. They care about power and enriching themselves. People who believe people like Obama and Biden are sincerely concerned are just plain stupid.

Janet and Jerome don't notice any difference in their bills, so why should we? If our incomes aren't as grossly inflated as theirs are, from salaries to kickbacks, well, that's our own fault. America 2021.

The price increases are not temporary, nor are the price hikes going to stop, because the money printing is not going to stop.

It is all part of Biden's new health plan! Everyone must lose weight since Americans are too fat. What better way to lose weight than to eat less. What better way to eat less than to make food too expensive to buy! Democrat logic at it's best and something they might really propose.

This is no surprise to my wife and I.
We are on a fixed income and we have been seeing the grocery bills go up and shaving off our cushion of dollars for a while now. Between fuel and food we are starting to worry.

Same here no. 15. Things starting to get tight. We are still ok but it looks like we will be looking at 20% inflation every year. There goes half our buying power in just a couple of years. Thank God I have zero debt.

High gas prices create a domino effect. Companies have to pay more, so they charge you more. It's only been 9 months...fasten your seat belts, you're in for a long for 3+ year ride !
