An underground German parking garage has reserved “diversity” spaces for vehicles driven by LGBTQ and migrant drivers so people who feel “a special need for protection” will feel safe. Hanauer Parkhaus GmbH has reportedly reserved three spots specifically designated for the LGBTQ community and migrants in their structure in Hanau, which is just outside Frankfurt, according to the Daily Mail. Thomas Morlock, who is the chairman of the HPG supervisory board and a city official, claims that the company’s goal in providing the segregated parking spaces is to give individuals a sense of security and protection.
