The high school is holding theme days for their homecoming week. Tuesday was a USA theme. The letter stated that some students “chose to express their political affiliations.” “We are sincerely remorseful if a day that was meant for unification turned into division for some,” Stamas wrote. “We will not tolerate actions that choose to belittle, demean, threaten or put down others.” Stamas said the school administration addressed students about the issue on Wednesday morning. My mind boggles at why people are here and put their kids in our schools if they hate us. I guess they just want my stuff. Principal didn't day which 'side; caused the disruption, but I'd guess it wasn't the patriotic kids.

Voters in Minneapolis, the city where George Floyd died in police custody, sparking months of destructive protests, will now be able to vote in the upcoming municipal elections on abolishing the police department, the Minnesota Supreme Court said in a reversal of a lower court ruling. The decision concluded: The decision of the district court filed on September 14, 2021, granting the petition of respondents’ Don Samuels et al., to correct the ballot, requiring local election officials to provide notice instructing voters not to vote on the ballot question, and enjoining local election officials from tallying, counting or in any way considering votes cast on the ballot question, is reversed.

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s first move after he beat the recall effort in California was to sign legislation allowing lots to be subdivided which would effectively eliminate suburbs. The legislation was obviously frowned upon by suburban voters. As The New York Times reported, lawmakers were worried about “angering suburban voters, whose preferences for single-family home living have been regarded as politically sacrosanct.” SB 9 “was furiously opposed by homeowners and local government groups who said it ‘crushes single-family zoning’ and would be ‘the beginning of the end of homeownership in California,'” the Times said. In a statement, Newsom’s office announced that President Joe Biden

President Joe Biden hoped his authoritarian vaccine mandate would take the heat off his administration’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. While his political calculation was not a complete success, it certainly reminded Americans about some fundamental ideological divides. A sentiment Biden expressed during his speech announcing the mandates crystalized these differences. This is not about freedom or personal choice. It’s about protecting yourself and those around you. The people you work with. The people you care about. The people you love. My job as president is to protect all Americans.

D. Vance, a U.S. Senate candidate from Ohio, called for mass civil disobedience in response to President Joe Biden's COVID-19 vaccine mandate plan that was announced on Thursday. "Do not comply with the mandates. Do not pay the government fines. Don't allow yourself to be bullied & controlled. Only mass civil disobedience will save us from Joe Biden's naked authoritarianism," Vance wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. Vance accused Biden of addressing millions of Americans as if "they're nothing more than vermin" who are expected to be ruled, and called the president a "geriatric tyrant." The White House blamed unvaccinated Americans on Thursday for President Joe Biden’s failure to control the coronavirus pandemic. “The reason we are here is because people have not gotten vaccinated, 80 million of them,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said. “Not because of any other reason.”Psaki was asked if Biden regretted his decision to declare “independence” from the coronavirus in July only to have cases and hospitalizations resurge in the United States. She noted that the coronavirus was “a smart virus” that had evolved and would require the Biden administration to level more stringent vaccine mandates. Psaki denied that Biden’s new speech on

Amid rising Covid-19 numbers across the U.S. and falling approval ratings on his handling of the pandemic, President Biden announced draconian new vaccine mandates on Thursday, targeting tens of millions of Americans. In addition to forcing federal employees and federal contractors to get the vaccine or get fired, with no option to opt out through testing, Biden’s “Path Out of the Pandemic” plan also targets private companies with more than 100 employees, using a not-yet-written OSHA rule to ensure compliance or require those who remain unvaccinated to go through weekly testing. The rule will affect over 80 million people, according to the plan. Employees at health care

Yesterday, the White House previewed Joe Biden’s upcoming 6-point plan to combat COVID-19, with Jen Psaki making the statement that how people are affected will depend on “whether they are vaccinated or not.” While that was ominous enough, pointing to a coming, overbearing federal mandate for private companies with federal contracts, today’s press briefing essentially confirmed the worst-case scenario. When asked whether the Department of Labor or another entity could force vaccine mandates not just on private companies with federal contracts, but major employers without federal contracts, Psaki responded with a resounding “Yes.” She then told the reporter to “stay tuned”

Most of the United States’ unvaccinated population are not moved by the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of Pfizer’s vaccine for the Chinese coronavirus, a recent ABC News/Washington Post survey found. The survey found that unvaccinated Americans are overwhelmingly unfazed by the FDA’s approval of Pfizer’s vaccine — a move President Biden hoped would prompt private businesses to “step up” vaccine requirements. While the survey found the majority of Americans have gotten the jab, data suggests the remaining unvaccinated population, comprised of roughly 90 million in the U.S., are firm in their decision to refuse the shot, wholly unmoved by the FDA’s approval of Pfizer’s jab.
