A very special document will be auctioned off later this year—a rare copy of the U.S. Constitution. Sotheby’s announced Friday—appropriately on Constitution Day—that in November it will put up for auction one of just 11 surviving copies of the Constitution from the official first printing produced for the delegates to the Constitutional Convention and for the Continental Congress. It’s the only copy that remains in private hands and has an estimate of $15 million-$20 million.(Snip)It is Kiffer’s second time handling the rare document. He also spearheaded its auction in 1988. Back then, it went for just $165,000.

Governor Greg Abbott has slammed Joe Biden for the 'complete disarray' at the US-Mexico border which has left agents 'overwhelmed' as the number of Haitian migrants camped out under a bridge in Texas has now swelled to around 12,000. The Texas governor announced he was sending National Guard troops and officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety to the state's ports of entry to 'deter crossings' as he compared the migrant crisis to the chaotic withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.(Snip)However, just one hour later, he backpedaled on the unprecedented move, claiming the Biden administration had 'flip-flopped' on its request.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed was caught breaking her own strict mask mandates—to go clubbing with a Black Lives Matter co-founder.
The Democrat, already under fire for her restrictive coronavirus rules, on Wednesday was photographed by a San Francisco Chronicle editor while singing and dancing in a packed jazz club—with no sign of masks.(Snip)Their behavior was in violation of Breed’s citywide mandate requiring well-fitted masks in indoor public buildings even for those fully vaccinated. The only exception is while actively eating or drinking—yet Breed “spent the night dancing, singing along and posing for photographs without a face covering,”

The US military on Friday admitted that it killed 10 civilians — including seven children and aid worker Zemari Ahmadi in a drone strike near Kabul’s airport last month—and not Islamic State bomb plotters, as it originally claimed. Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth McKenzie Jr., commander of US Central Command, said the civilians “were tragically killed” on Aug. 29, one day before the final chaotic Biden administration evacuation flights from Kabul. “I am now convinced that as many as 10 civilians, including up to seven children, were tragically killed in that strike,” McKenzie said at a press conference.(Snip)As his military leaders were revealing the deadly screwup Friday afternoon

President Biden is calling for an electric vehicle revolution, but a major mining project proposed for remote western Nevada could soon show whether his administration intends to walk the talk.
All the Australian company ioneer Ltd. needs is final Interior Department clearance to start work on the Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project after announcing Thursday a joint venture with the international mining firm Sibanye-Stillwater.(Snip)Environmentalists argue that the mine would worsen the “extinction crisis,” citing the Tiehm’s buckwheat, a flowering plant that grows only on a 10-acre stretch of federal land in western Nevada. In June, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposed protecting the Tiehm’s buckwheat

Nine big cats at Smithsonian’s National Zoo have presumptively tested positive for COVID-19. The Washington, D.C., zoo on Friday announced that six African lions, a Sumatran tiger and two Amur tigers might have caught the illness and have experienced decreased appetites, coughing, sneezing and lethargy. Fecal samples of the lions and tigers were collected and tested presumptively positive, with final results expected in the coming days.(Snip)The U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, made specifically for zoo animals. The zoo said vaccines will be given to susceptible species at the zoo and the Conservation Biology Institute

A mother claims she was left bleeding from her vagina after getting her first dose of AstraZeneca's Covid vaccine. Jacqueline Goldsworthy, from Barnet in north London, was rushed through for medical tests in case it was cancer or a sign of another illness.
But results ruled out anything untoward in the post-menopausal 57-year-old, who has not had a period in two decades. Ms Goldsworthy, a social worker who got her first jab in December, believes the vaccine triggered her bleeding. However, NHS doctors insisted there was 'no way' it was to blame.(Snip)Official data shows there have been 366 reports of postmenopausal haemorrhage

Former Yankee Didi Gregorius is in the middle of the worst season of his career–and chose a controversial reason on which to blame his struggles. Speaking to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Gregorius–now with the Phillies–said he developed an elbow condition after he was vaccinated for COVID-19 called pseudogout, a form of arthritis that causes painful swelling. The shortstop said the condition hurt his performance throughout the season. “Some people say it’s from the vaccine. I will say it’s likely from that, too,” Gregorius said. “But when you say that, everyone looks at you like you’re stupid because the vaccine is not supposed to be like that

Times Square — A hostess at a popular Italian staple in the city’s theater district was assaulted after asking out-of-towners to show their proof of COVID-19 vaccination, according to police.
It happened at Carmine’s on Broadway Thursday night. The hostess, 24, was assaulted by three women from Texas after she asked the women to show proof of vaccination, the NYPD said.
Charges against the three women are pending, police said.
New York City rules require patrons to show proof of vaccination at several indoor businesses, including restaurants and bars.

Pamela Owensby woke up every day for three years fearing her son would be shot. Her 23-year-old, Sircarr Johnson Jr., had opened a clothing store on West Philadelphia’s 60th Street in 2018. Because of ongoing violence in the neighborhood, she became licensed to carry a gun and accompanied him at closing time. This spring, she even researched life insurance for each of her four sons—the youngest of whom is 9. But before she could fill out the paperwork, Johnson was killed in front of his store.(Snip)The overlap of so many of these injustices in communities of color has roots dating back generations.

Thousands of migrants continue to converge in a makeshift camp under the bridge that connects Del Rio, Texas and Mexico's Ciudad Acuña, in the latest border emergency and humanitarian crisis facing US President Joe Biden. The camp had swelled to some 10,000 migrants on Thursday, with thousands seen wading across the Rio Grande River daily. Most are Haitians, with some Cubans, Venezuelans and Nicaraguans also present.(Snip)After aerial drone images of the growing camp surfaced Thursday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration, overseen by Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, imposed a two-week flight restriction banning drones from flying in the area, citing unspecified security concerns.

The COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech was the first to reach American arms, and it accounts for over half of the 380 million doses administered in the U.S. so far. The shot has another advantage as the nation hurtles into a period in which workers must either get vaccinated or lose their jobs: It’s the only vaccine fully licensed by the Food and Drug Administration, lending it preferred status as President Biden says regulatory approval should reassure holdouts. Mr. Biden didn’t tell Americans which version to take in a speech outlining his plan to mandate COVID-19 vaccines at large companies, but he pointed to FDA approval
Comments:
Not covid-related, but very possibly covid shot-related. Not that the rabble will hear about it. Same thing happened a while ago with another "heavy-set" media personality who died of whatever causes, probably triggered by side effects from the shot we all need to embrace. Notice also our mass media profiteering from people, like a freak show of yore; a TLC show called “Ton of Love.”
