Facebook has shut down advertising for a new song by John Ondrasik, called "Got Blood on My Hands," about Joe Biden's disastrous pullout from Afghanistan. They did it on the typical spurious grounds of "violation of terms of service." The song denounces Biden's abandonment of thousands of Americans and allies behind enemy lines, the needless deaths of thirteen service members, all the best of the best, and names names of the culprits in the fiasco. Boy, is this a cold, angry song. And a very good one. Listen: (Snip for video) According to the Washington Free Beacon: Facebook blocked

The news in our country and abroad has been relentlessly bad ever since we entered the calamitous Biden Era just months ago, but there are a few hopeful signs out there still. One of the best is a story receiving almost no coverage in the larger press: the Venezuela elections this November. The democratic opposition has agreed to participate after years of boycotting the Maduro regime’s rigged voting. The EU will send a large team of election monitors and Maduro has already been releasing some political prisoners in a bid to end sanctions.

After showing in a custom evening gown at the Met Gala extravaganza, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is starting to sound nervous
After all, her appearance in the pricey one-of-a-kind evening gown at the celebrity-studded event didn't go over as she'd planned. Her gown had spray-painted on it the words "Tax the Rich" on its backside. It reeled in the charges of hypocrisy. I wrote about that here yesterday, and the fallout is continuing.
So now we get this, justification after justification after justification, for her soirée eating the rarified food and dancing the dance, and drinking the stuff, and doing the air kisses with all the celebrity beautiful people.

In the decrepit, doddering Joe Biden era, the odor of decay, decadence and borrowed glory from the entitled ruling class is the order of the day based on what was seen at last night's Met Gala, "the party of the year" according to the New York Times.
Nobody embodied that better than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who wore a custom-designed white evening gown graffitied with 'Tax the Rich' in red spray paint on the back of it, just perfect for an event brimming with the superrich. She knows they like that 'beat me, beat me' vibe.
Here she is preening and showing it off for the cameras, every inch the center of attention:

The marked decline in support for President Biden and his administration nationally and in key swing states indicates that the Democratic Party could endure a blowout defeat in the 2022 midterm elections.
Moreover, Biden is in a significantly weaker position now than both of his most recent Democratic predecessors — Bill Clinton and Barack Obama — at this point in their presidencies, which suggests that Democrats could suffer even more substantial losses in 2022 than the party did in 1994 and 2010.

An Afghan interpreter who aided the U.S. military for the last decade told Fox News the Taliban beat him in his home on Thursday night for suspected ties to the American government, as he and his family face a yearslong delay for approval of their Special Immigrant Visa applications.
The interpreter, who requested his identity be kept anonymous for his and his family’s safety, told Fox News in an interview Thursday night over the phone that the Taliban came to his home and "tortured him" in front of his wife and his three young children.

EXCLUSIVE — The Taliban beheaded an Afghan soldier, then chanted praise to their leader while holding the severed head of their victim by his hair in a video posted in a private Taliban chat room.
The 36-second video, which was obtained by the Washington Examiner, was posted a week ago. It’s unclear when it was made, but on Aug. 17, Taliban leaders promised amnesty for government workers and protection for women.

“I would like to assure the international community, including the United States, that nobody will be harmed,” said Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid.

What's going on with the Los Angeles Times?
Was it bad enough that the paper downplayed a racist assault on a leading California gubernatorial candidate, Larry Elder, where a white leftist wearing a gorilla mask hurled an egg at the head of Elder, a black man, expressing a common trope among racists who compare black people to apes? Recall that Roseanne Barr literally lost her popular television show for that one, after she compared White House advisor Valerie Jarrett to an ape.
Nooo, not at all to these practitioners of "journalism."

Joe Biden in his 2020 basement presidential campaign made a big deal about his quest of "unity" and the importance of taking the advice of "experts."
That's now a joke. It got obvious last week when we learned he chased out two top Food and Drug Administration research scientists, both strict non-partisans (I checked), from their positions, in a string of such exits. White House interference, specifically from truth-challenged White House chief science advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, was what he meant by 'experts.'
Now it gets worse. Turns out a whole host of unpaid Trump-appointed advisors on departmental advisory boards, with fixed three-year terms -- at Defense, Education,

So is butt-naked racism against the man who may become California's first black governor O.K. so long as a Democrat is doing it?
Apparently so, based on how the Los Angeles Times is covering yesterday's egg-hurling incident.
A leftist white woman in a gorilla mask, unsubtle as she could get, hurled an egg at the head of gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder in Venice, California, nearly hitting him, as did another leftist later as Elder was hustled off by his aides into an SUV.
The Los Angeles Times headline, noted by reporter Ryan Saavedra, was incredible:

Is the Catholic Church finally showing some leadership?
Sure looks like it, with this Washington Post op-ed by San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone:
Prominent politicians lost no time in reacting hyperbolically to the Supreme Court’s decision refusing to enjoin Texas’s new law banning abortions after the detection of a fetal heartbeat. President Biden announced a “whole-of-government effort” to find ways to overcome the Texas measure. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) denounced the Supreme Court’s refusal as a “cowardly, dark-of-night decision to uphold a flagrantly unconstitutional assault on women’s rights and health,” and promised new legal action: “This ban necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade” in federal law.

Investigative reporters spend a great deal of time exposing malfeasance and violations of public trust. They alert the world to scandal and try to rouse the public.
But then there's ProPublica, the investigative outfit bankrolled by allies of George Soros.
It's got a doozy of a scandal to report and wants us all to be horrified. A breathless Twitter thread from ace investigative reporter Isaac Arnsdorf starts with this: (Snip for tweet) He blames Steve Bannon and says it involves the dreaded QAnon. He goes into overdrive with this big scoop:

I hope his guy is right, he does seem to know what he's talking about.
