Houston—A suspected peeping Tom was shot and killed by a female homeowner in Houston Friday night. It happened around 11:15 p.m. on Irvington Blvd at Knight Street just North of downtown. According to Houston Police, they arrived at the home and found a man dead on the driveway of a home. Police say the man was looking into a bedroom window from outside and the woman inside the home got scared and grabbed a rifle. She shot several times at the suspect through the wall of the home. Police say the man was shot one time and died at the scene. The homeowner is cooperating with the police.

This could have a chilling effect on late night creeping around people’s homes.
But what if he was just trying to decide his gender and needed some field study on female bedtime practices?

In an unverified report the man appeared to be George McFly.

Most likely a neighbor who knew she lived alone. Hopefully, identification will follow.

Was the suspect vaccinated against the Chinese Wuhan Bioweapon flu? Was he tested at the scene to see if he was positive? If he tested positive will cause of death be determined to be from the Chinese Wuhan Bioweapon Covid flu?
He certainly was lead vaccinated.

Oh, well.
Perhaps this will be a lesson to other of this kind. Probably not.
In any case, we can be 100% certain that there will be no recidivism in this particular case, and the legal costs have been contained at a very low level. Both excellent outcomes.

Reminds me of an obituary in the SA paper many years ago. An ex-con, upset that the local cops wanted to arrest him, got into a fire fight with the cops and assumed room temperature (hat tip, el Rushbo) .
A few days later, his obituary was in the local rag. "Name, age, died after a brief illness...." Yeah. Acute lead poisoning. Even made Texas Monthly's bum steers awards that year.

Hmm, this will probably have a chilling affect on other local deviant miscreants.
There was a break-in a few months ago in my neighborhood. The culprit didn’t survive the homeowner’s defense. No break-ins since then.
People stop doing stupid things when lead can be involved.

I generally agree with the above posts. However, even in Texas, the homeowner will likely face considerable scrutiny for shooting and killing the perp, unless he had a weapon or she had other reasons to fear for her life or fear actual intrusion. In other words, she may live to regret her impulsive over-reaction.
Or, if the parties are black, the matter may be left in the "no action" file.

In some states or towns her actions are enough to get arrested for manslaughter. Don't think that's right, but sadly it's true.

Quite the security fence. I would be scared too since the perp would have had to really wanted to be there to climb that fence.

I fear for this woman. It will be hard for her to claim she feared for her safety, because he wasn't inside the house. She was rightfully offended at having her privacy invaded, but I don't think that will justify the shooting. Guess it depends on what Texas law says. Frankly, I think she did a good thing. One less pervert.

The house appears to have a metal fence around it - so he made an effort to peep. One less pervert on our streets now.

He better be white and her black or the Houston DA will charge her with white privilege.

Castle Law...Trespassing is a crime, Peeping into windows is a crime, obviously the perp could have easily been assumed to be a rapist, another crime and all threats to bodily harm.
DONE!

The new "Trespassing/Lethal Force" standard has been 'reset' by the current administration, the Media and leftists everywhere. As of Jan 6th, ANY trespasser can be shot for simply 'being there'.
