Disgruntled migrants fed up with the Big Apple’s crime and grime are taking off to the Great White North — on bus rides paid for by New York taxpayers, The Post has learned.
National Guard soldiers have been helping distribute tickets at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan to migrants who want to head upstate before crossing into Canada, several migrants said.
Venezuelan native Raymond Peña and his family arrived at a gas-station bus stop in Plattsburgh, NY — about 20 miles south of the Canadian border — at 4 a.m. Sunday.
“The military gave me and my family free bus tickets,” Peña said.

It downshifted.
An elevator malfunction at a Ferrari dealership left a $240,000 Roma model damaged and dangling this week in Palm Beach, Florida.
Firefighters were called to the scene after the shaft disaster and it took them four hours to extricate the battered Italian sports car from the elevator.
“A car elevator malfunction caused a car to hang in the elevator shaft,” Palm Beach County Fire and Rescue wrote of the operation on Facebook.
They had to first stop a dangerous fuel leak from the silver Ferrari, a process that required them to shut off all power to the dealership.

We have a Chinese spy balloon roaming American skies unimpeded, and the Biden White House thinks that’s fine. They were snippy with the press when they asked for more details about the high-altitude spy balloon reportedly launched from central China. Beijing has apologized for breaching our air space, though the reasoning is ridiculous: they claim it blew off course. The incident has caused Secretary of State Antony Blinken to cancel his scheduled visit to the country. It was spotted by passengers on a commercial airliner yesterday. Montana is where this device was first tracked. It’s now somewhere hovering above Kansas.

So we begin with a bit of a biographical note. Like many writers at PJ Media, I work from home. There was a knock at my door this morning, and I noticed a police vehicle outside. As we are law-abiding people, that was out of the ordinary. At my door was the animal control officer. That seemed odd since our dogs stay in the backyard and don’t roam around the neighborhood. The issue that warranted said knock on my door was the fact that I had inadvertently left one of our dogs out a little longer than usual.

Before medicine was a science, loved ones would place a bell on top of a grave so that if the doctors made a mistake, the awakened — and presumably terrified — occupant of the grave could alert those close by that the burial had taken place in error.
Of course, that doesn’t happen anymore. The medical establishment is far too sophisticated, and far too regulated, for a terrible mistake like that to happen. Nowadays we have machines that tell us when we’re dead. And not just when we’re merely dead, but when we’re really, really, sincerely dead.

A powerful arctic blast swept into the Northeastern U.S. on Friday, pushing temperatures to a record low- with New Hampshire's Mount Washington recording a wind chill of -104 degrees Fahrenheit (-75 Celsius).
A National Weather Service (NWS) advisory said the mass of frigid air would keep temperatures at life-endangering levels through Saturday, warning of 'extremely dangerous' conditions from the 'short-lived blast.'
Situated in the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire at 6,288 feet, the Mount Washington Observatory was dealing with a combination of extreme cold and strong winds from an intense blast of arctic air.

The Gateway Pundit reported that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was asked this week if he thought Ashli Babbitt was murdered by Officer Mike Byrd.
McCarthy chose to defend the cold-blooded killer.
“I think the officer was doing his job.”
Ashli’s mother, Micki Witthoft, had strong words for McCathy.
“I just want to talk briefly about what Kevin McCarthy said today when he was asked about the murder of my daughter. If Kevin McCarthy…..we called for a while and his Bakersfield office would just pick up the phone and put it down…and the phone lines were clogged to begin with when we tried to call his office here in DC.”

Researchers in the United States and the United Kingdom have revealed that Lagevrio, a drug designed by Merck meant to treat COVID, is causing the virus to mutate in patients.
This creates the potential for more communicable and deadly versions of COVID to emerge in the future.
When one studies how Lagevrio works, this should not come as a shock. The pill attacks the COVID virus by trying to alter its genetic code.
Once inside a human cell, a virus can make 10,000 copies of its genetic code in a few hours. Each copy made increases the risk the virus makes a rare mistake and creates an inexact replica.

investigating rumors regarding a possible connection between Tyre Nichols and the ex-wife or ex-girlfriend of one of the Memphis cops arrested and charged in Nichols' death.
On Wednesday morning, Newsweek asked the Shelby County district attorney's office if it is investigating possible rumors connecting Nichols to the ex-girlfriend or ex-wife of former Memphis cop Demetrius Haley. Additionally, Newsweek asked about rumors that Haley sent photos of Nichols to his ex-wife following the violent arrest of the 29-year-old Black man.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) announced legislation to hold those who perform sex change procedures on children accountable.
During a press conference, DeSantis condemned society for the persistent push on minors that being transgender is normal and something that should be celebrated.
"This is sad, but this is going on in our society. They're giving teenagers, kids puberty blockers… they're doing sex change operations," DeSantis said.
The Florida governor warned medical doctors that if they perform these woke, dangerous procedures, they will lose their medical licenses, adding that it is not evidence-based.
After explaining that his administration worked with the medical licensing board,

On one hand, college must be a breeze these days, since actually learning something no longer appears to be a requirement on many campuses. On the other hand, when institutions of higher education are on perpetual crusades against racism, sexism, and whatever other “isms” are currently in vogue, the list of potential targets will inevitably grow short. That, of course, is bad for business. After all, no one wants to get all geared up for the Two Minutes Hate with their best piercings and signs, only to find that the mass hysteria has been canceled for lack of something to protest.
