A European visitor once remarked to me that he found the American practice of flying the flag outside of homes odd. In Europe, he said, flag flying, if done at all, tended to confine itself to proletarian sports enthusiasm and to local decorative flag flying. After all, everyone already knows in what country they are residing.Americans take or, until recently took, an extraordinary pride in flying their national flag. Roughly 150 million American flags are sold each year in the United States. In a little over two years, one flag has been sold in the United States for each person resident here.

It is also being attacked as a symbol of White Supremacy. Don't shrug. That is exactly what our children and grandchildren are being taught.

Americans put an entirely different meaning behind their Flag.
In Europe, such displays signify pride in family or personal identity. "My ancestor was Bonaparte!", "I am Schmidtzel! A great businessman", "I like broccolli!"...
Because they have an identity as a French, Belgian, English, whatever, that identity is what they are, but has little to do with WHO they are. The American Flag represents an ideal. "I am Free because we decided on a Government by the People, for the People, backed by courage, founded on God. We are not England of the Tudors, We are not Bonaparte's France, nor Maduro's Venezuela. We are Americans, who nurture freedom, who praise Liberty and Justice, and work toward that end for every Man, Woman and child, regardless of Race, Religion, or national origin. We are Americans and we fight for Freedom!"

And yes...
There are many who LIVE here in the U.S.A., who do NOT qualify as Americans.

Being born in America legally makes you an Americans.
Love for our country is ingrained in us by our parents and our history.
Flying my flag is pride in my country a pride that we are a free country.
That pride today is being sorely tested.
One day I pray that is will return as strong as it should be.
It will take a lot to bring it back perhaps tragic and terrible things, but real Americans wish that pride to return.

In the last 20 years or so I have flown my US flag only sporadically. Just not feeling it. More often I fly the Bonnie Blue or my state flag, or the Gadsden flag.

could be why the European nations are rocketing toward full blown communism and the United States, if the society stays on its present course is headed in the same direction. we are not quite there, yet but, it's only a matter of a few strokes of the pen from this idiot biden and we are done, as a Republic and as a free nation. we are being saturated by people who know nothing of the individual freedoms we have in our country, which was the intention of hosingyou obalma and, if he had another 4-8 years our country would be wallowing in the quicksand of political obscurity.
Thank God for Donald J. Trump, we owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for giving us, at least, an inkling of what our country could be if managed correctly.
MAGA,A 2022 & 2024 and beyond. America First!!! and everlasting!!!

This is TOTAL BS
FTA ... Deciding policy by majority vote requires an especially sturdy civic friendship. People cannot trust their lives, their families, and their fortunes to a majority vote unless a preponderance of the people voting have very strong habits of subordinating their own narrow interests to those of the whole of the people. To paraphrase Lincoln, it is not sufficient for happiness that government be of the people and by the people; it must be for the people.
Sorry Jackazz, I fly that flag because I'm FREE. I do not do so because I'm part of the commune.

Mine has been stored since Nov. 4th. It will not fly again as long as these commie usurpers occupy the White House. I rarely even put out the Gadsden flag anymore, either.

Americans may take pride in flying our flag, but I know I have seen on TV many news reports showing crowds of people in California proudly waving Mexican flags! Some people accept the benefits of the USA including what remaining liberty we enjoy plus education and employment opportunities, and probably also vote in our elections while demonstrating allegiance to a foreign power. I can understand Europeans taking a rather jaundiced view of national pride after surrendering their nations to the European Union and allowing their economies to become dependent on Russian oil and gas.

I have flown my flag for years. I cherish and honor it as a symbol of freedom. But for months now, I have flown it upside down, the standard symbol of a cry for help. I will continue to do so until we are no longer ruled by a communist central government.

Poster 8, please fly them.
Nothing defies abd upsets these criminal uspurpers so much as the reminder of who we are, and what we'll fight for.
They are wantonly treading on the American viper. Let them feel our fangs!!

We don’t care who is in the WH, we fly the flag every day and many homes on my one-block-long street do as well. We also fly the Betsy Ross flag to thumb our noses at Kaepernick and his comrades. Occasionally we fly other flags as well - today it’s the Marine Corps flag (hubby was a Vietnam Era Marine), sometimes it’s the Gadsden flag and if the left is going after Israel, we fly the Israeli flag. Though I am a Catholic, my ancestors founded the first synagogue in Boston in 1842. Finally, on Independence Day we fly 7 American flags from various times in our history across our front porch.
All of that is probably why the leftists across the street never speak to us.

Forgot to add, #10, my late father in law had a flag pole in his front yard and flew the flag, lighted at night, 24/7 at half mast during the entire Carter administration. At one point, he was the youngest chief in the Navy in WWII, having lied about his age to enlist when he was 17. I’m glad that he is not here to see what has happened to the country he fought for.

Apparently Mr. Whig has not been to Europe. Start in Denmark, where the national flag flies everywhere, Switzerland or Turkey, or Eastern Europe, particularly the Baltic countries. Even Russia. In Spain one sees regional flags particularity in Catalonia. Nationalism is not dead. Pride in country is not dead. Pride in ethnicity is not dead. Americans need to stand up for themselves, their pride and aspirations, like many Europeans.

Seems the Stars and Strips is popular in other countries too. I noticed people flying them in places like Cuba and Hong Kong, even at the risk of their lives. I didn't see any European flags.

I fly mine every day at my house in town and also my little lake house. One day a year I fly the Confederate Ist National (the real 'Stars and Bars' ) in honor of my ancestors. Lots of Americana flags fly here but then my area is full of us deplorable, redneck neanderthals. It pleases me to see the left now being offended by the flag. I hope it continues to drive them crazy.

My parents are immigrants to this country. Im not a (name an ethnicity or nationality) -American but an American period. This is still the land of opportunity and if you believe in pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps you can achieve your dreams. I have the US flag patch on each shoulder of my leather jackets so when I ride my Harley people know I’m proud to be an American. I also have the Gadsden flag on my vest. When I see people flying the Stars and Bars I make sure to give them a thumbs up in support of their pride in their heritage. While we do have our own challenges this is the best country in the world if you ask me. For all the commies, socialists, libtards and BLM types, you’re free to leave. Beat it and make more room for people who love our way of life. I also believe President Trump brought back the idea of how great we are as a nation. I am hoping for his return in 2024 and hopefully a second term in 2028. We could only be so lucky! God Bless America again and again.
