According to the leftist "narrative," the migrant-child border surge and Biden administration's work to open the borders to "unaccompanied minors" entering the country illegally are just his being humanitarian and all:
"The idea that I'm going to say, which I would never do, if an unaccompanied child ends up at the border we're going to let them starve to death and stay on the other side, no previous administration did that either, except Trump. I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to do it," Biden told ABC's Cecilia Vega.
(Snip) But as the child-migrant surge proceeds as a result, it's getting obvious that something un-humanitarian is happening to them

The term 'Republican in Name Only' or RINO, is flung around loosely, but it doesn't get more deadly accurate when the person involved is Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming.
Having gotten herself a spot on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's 9/11 commission, and declaring that she was "honored," to have gotten Pelosi's own invitation (kid you not), she decided to horn in on the very real rift between Pelosi and her own party leader, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy over the committee personnel. That rift came when McCarthy yanked all five GOP nominations to the commission after Pelosi rejected Reps. Jim Banks and Jim Jordan as threats

How's Hunter Biden's art show, where the spanking new self-taught "artist" and son of the president is miraculously expected to sell his masterpieces at $500,000 a pop? The show is coming in October.
According to the White House, which crafted a 'deal' to ensure that Hunter himself will have no idea who is buying his paintings as an "ethics" measure, everything's on the up and up.
But according to the Village Sun, a Manhattan publication, an artist in the vicinity had his own opinion about the matter:
Within an hour of Psaki’s press conference, [artist and filmmaker Rod] Webber, who lives in Boston, entered the Georges Bergès Gallery, at 462 West Broadway.

San Francisco is famous for its tech trend-setting, but here's a different kind of trend-setting now that it's got a leftist prosecutor who won't do his job:
Shopping from behind locked glass-case barriers. Not just some goods, but now, all the goods..
Here's what appears to be a citizen video, from someone trying to get the attention of the local press, of the Safeway supermarket at Church and Market in an area between the Mission district and the Castro district. (Snip for tweet) Obviously, this is an attempt to thwart shoplifters, given the retail theft free-for-all going on in that city. The problem didn't just crop up out

Every solid blue city has its horrors -- from murders in Chicago to organized thievery in San Francisco.
In San Diego, where I live, the problem is homeless attacks. Seems the homeless aren't just unsightly, unsanitary, or famous spreaders of disease, they're dangerous, and when you have a lot of them, you have a lot of unprovoked random assaults on law-abiding residents. The problem is out there, and too bad for those who don't like it. San Diego's new leftist mayor, Todd Gloria, is de facto advising the victims that he's going to create more of it.
Here's the local NBC News report:
[Resident Aislinn] Fava [aged 31] was walking along Broadway

It's starting to look bad for Tracy Stone Manning, Joe Biden's nominee to run the Bureau of Land Management.
The latest news is that she lied to Congress about her involvement in eco-terrorism; an Earth First! tree-spiking incident in Idaho's Clearwater National Forest in 1989. At the time, she wrote a profane threatening letter to "warn" loggers about the spikes, and then told Congress she knew nothing about the whole thing, and was merely an innocent college kid forced to do it to try to make sure nobody was "getting hurt." It didn't happen that way, according to various sources.
Normally, a person with any such involvement,

Black Lives Matter, an organization founded and led by "trained Marxists" has released a statement on this week's slave uprising in Cuba, brimming with sycophancy for the brutal Cuban dictatorship: (Snip for tweet) The statement came out with some funny timing, too, according to Fox News: The BLM tweet was sent out at about the time Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel admitted in a televised address that his government’s failures played a role in the protests over food shortages and other issues. He had earlier called on "revolutionaries" to counter the anti-government protesters.

Texas's Democrat legislators, who dramatically fled the state to prevent a quorum on a vote for a voter-integrity law, had it all worked out beforehand that they'd be hailed as heroes for democracy.
They planned a flight together, got on together, and then were to fly as a group to Washington to plead their case and make their stand as champions of claimed "voting rights," as the media would fawn.
But somehow, things didn't quite gone as planned. They've actually become people the public is laughing at. They didn't quite get every detail for the heroic narrative right.

In what looks like a confluence from hell, the Democratic National Committee plans to police your SMS messages for "misinformation" about COVID vaccines. It sounds like a bad joke, or a right-wing conspiracy theory. But nope, it's right there in Politico:
The White House has decided to hit back harder on misinformation and scare tactics after Republican lawmakers and conservative activists pledged to fight the administration’s stated plans to go “door-to-door” to increase vaccination rates. The pushback will include directly calling out social media platforms and conservative news shows that promote such tactics.

Several people reportedly taking selfies near a historical fort in northern India were among 76 killed by lightning strikes during the early stages of the annual monsoon season, officials said Monday.
Deadly lightning strikes are common in the vast Asian nation during the June-September deluge, which bring respite from the summer heat across the northern Indian plains.
Of the 76 killed, at least 23 people died in the mostly desert state of Rajasthan, including a dozen who were watching the storm cross Jaipur city from watch towers near the famous 12th-century Amer Fort late Sunday, a state disaster department official told AFP.

Chinese diplomats have drawn extra attention to the ongoing rescue work at the site of a fatal hotel collapse in eastern China on Monday, after having taken to Twitter to ridicule U.S. efforts in Florida less than one week ago.
Authorities in the city of Suzhou, in coastal Jiangsu province, said more than 600 people were taking part in the search for survivors at Siji Kaiyuan Hotel, where nine people remain missing in the ruins of an adjoining three-story building.
At a press conference on Tuesday, provincial officials said

Democrats, even the crazy ones such as Stacey Abrams, have backed away from their call for zero photo I.D. in order to vote. Their argument that black people are incapable of getting I.D. is essentially racist. More important, from their point of view, the voters are squarely are not in their tree. Voter I.D. is a common sense measure practiced in all civilized countries and voter polls support it. They still want to win in 2022, so they've moved away from that stance like a bad smell from a backed up sewer.
But Kamala Harris
