Three women were attacked in an Upper Manhattan park within the span of about an hour on Wednesday — and police are investigating if the same suspect is behind all the incidents, the NYPD said.(Photo) A brute first crept up on a 34-year-old woman inside Inwood Hill Park at about 10:50 a.m. and said he wanted to rape her before punching the victim, police said. The man then stole the woman’s iPhone, Apple Watch and earbuds and fled, cops said (Photo) About 40 minutes later, a man threatened to rob a 40-year-old woman who was walking her dog in the park before telling her he wanted to sexually assault her,

Same MO so it must be the same person that might help speed up investigation. Did the women happen to mention the race of the person because that might narrow down to one instead of the entire population but at this point I could take a WAG what race it is.

NYC keeps voting for the fools that make this possible. My sympathy level is zero. Vote out these fools and we can talk.

Liberal women elect politicians who refuse to keep criminals behind bars, in the name of Equity. You break it, you bought it? Nah, they'll move somewhere "safer" and make the same mess of things.

My only relative in that area moved out of the Upper West Side about 6 or 8 years back. He saw that things were going to hell pretty badly, relocated to rural NJ. He's been spending a lot more time at his home in SC the last few years. NYC is getting pretty unlivable, a steady slide downward, caused by Dem politicians.

My advice to the Ladies who need to run alone in Parks. Either be carrying Lead or have a huge dog! Running by yourself on a deserted Road, in the Country, in a nice neighborhood at Dawn or at night is just asking for trouble unless you have a means to defend yourself. It's come to that, only some women have yet to admit it! Not me! I'm ready for the Asshats! No longer can any of us say "that won't happen where I live"! It can and it will!

For Heavens sake, get a weapon and use it! Not a gun, use your imagination!

Correct # 6. I worked in downtown Baltimore at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The area around Hopkins has never been a good area. Murders occur within a block of the hospital, and riding home, I pass through some really dicey neighborhoods. Yet I see young twenty something white women jogging in these areas all the time. These are people who work at the hospital and the hospital provides housing for them at reduced cost. I firmly believe these women have no clue where they are. I know people who have been robbed right outside the hospital in front of the little security booths that are on every corner. Some security. I think some of these security people are in on it.

Supporting #8's comment. A college undergrad friend finished his PhD at a west coast university and got a post-doc fellowship at John's Hopkins. The day he arrived at JH to check in, his car, parked on the street near JH was broken into, and a bunch of research materials, useless to anyone but him, was stolen. He was pretty angry.
He mellowed out a week later when another JH arriving post doc was murdered at his parked car about two parking slots away from where my friend's car had been broken into. My friend realized that not getting killed was the key 'good news', and loss of his research materials was inconvenient but not deadly.
This was in the late 70s. Baltimore has been a dangerous sewer for a LONG time, and it is getting worse. And, of course, getting a concealed weapons permit in Maryland is impossible.

Anytime I hear of a woman fighting back, I am pleased. "Freeze or fight" is all you have to remember. The first decision leads to horrible outcomes. The second buys time, and may lead to complete escape.

This is the first article noting the attackers race/ethnicity I have seen in some time. Apparently the attacker is not deranged, unhinged, unprovoked, or any of the other nondescript words used for a certain race. Nope, the attacker is described as Hispanic! Apparently the first time in months that the victims have been able to identify the attackers race.
