Former Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen have put their Washington DC days behind them and are now living in a $1.93 million Indiana home they purchased last month. Property records reveal that Pence, 62, bought a seven-bedroom, 7½-bathroom house in the upscale location of Carmel — known as the luxury pinnacle in his state of Indiana. And it appears he offered more than the asking price, as it was initially listed for $1.8 million. The home was first listed on April 1 and the former VP placed an offer a week later. The sale closed on May 25.

That is quite a house to be buying at age 62. Additionally he will need furniture to fill it. I'm a few years younger and have already started downsizing.

I hope this means he plans to stay in Indiana--or whatever they end up calling that state when the woke people declare Indiana is offensive to our Native American population.

Looks a little like the house Mike Huckabee bought for himself on the beach after he ran off to Florida to avoid paying Arkansas income taxes when he hit the big time. Glad to see that our "Republican" politicos seem to be doing as well as the 'Rat thieves.

I’ve been to Carmel numerous times. It’s a quaint and lovely little town but I’m not sure how welcome Pence will be. It has always struck me as an artsy sort of place and is probably jammed with leftists.

Would love to see a photo of his former Indiana home (before becoming VP). Also, I lived the first 50 years of my life in IL, and AI can tell you all those Outdoor Amenities are only going to be used June, July and August. Maybe in a off year, September. After that, Midwest weather sets in and he won't be out in that pool or using the luxury BBQ area! Amazing how Rich they became after only one term in the White House! Did he have a #1 Book or something to make money like that? Or could it have been a payoff for keeping Trump from having a second Term?

A bit ostentatious, but he must be able to afford it now that he has done what every other politician in DC does. They swiftly amass great wealth on a salary that does not equate to the lifestyle of the rich and famous that they enjoy after their time of public service. What other legal profession can promise such wealth in such a short time? Pence must have saved every cent of his salary and then some. Did he receive compensation from unknown sources for his behavior on January 6th? That might explain his recent purchase. He may have profited from his time as VP, but he also lost a massive amount of respect. It will only get worse for Pence if the audits reveal what we all know, including Pence, that Donald J. Trump was deprived of his legally earned second term. He had all the information prior to January 6th, and betrayed the President and the nation because he did nothing and evil triumphed, hopefully only temporarily. Pence will have some ‘splainin’ to do. I hope he enjoys his new home and it brings him joy because he has lost the respect of millions of Americans and will have to live with his act of cowardice on January 6th for the rest of his life.

Well, pay offs do bring the finer things in life. Why does a so called devout Christian who is so smug in his piousness need this home? His family is grown. This is a pure expression of what is really important to this nasty, back biting traitor who will NEVER be president. He is a snake...the quiet, dark hearted snake...no unlike judas.

1.9 million won't go very far in many parts of Florida. A 3 bedroom condo with an ocean view if you are lucky!

I read Pence's net worth on the Forbes site. He's buying more house than he can afford. The 85k$/yr pension is not enough to live on and keep up that house. That's a house that should only be owned by someone with at least a 10m$ net worth. And worse yet is he's buying it at a market peak. Obviously he must have a mortgage and thus he will be underwater in a few years. I have more money than him and I wouldn't touch that house. For a house like that if you can't pay cash buy something less. Much less.
Unlike all the Democrat politicians, their family members(Hunter,Chelsea), and members of the FBI/CIA/IRS/DOJ - Pence did not leverage his public service for laundered bribe money and insider trading in order to become a multi-millionaire.

Like the saying, 'go big or go home' Pence is doing just that he's going big so he wants a big home to go to. Pence's days in Washington must be a signal that it's over for the back stabbing RINO.

And this is what it is all about - elitism and the uppity people. It is all about them isn't it? Don't get me wrong, I do not view all people as elitists or uppity kind of people. Only the ones that cheat and lie to get what they want. Mike Pence had every opportunity to get to the truth. He chose differently on January 6, 2021.

The BLM idiot who bought a 1.9 million dollar home in L.A., didn't really get what most people would consider a home worth 1.9 million. It looked like your average $250,000 home in most areas of the country, but it's L.A. and California and prices for homes are just through the roof. A 1.9 million dollar home in Indiana however, where your money goes farther, is quite a mansion in most areas of the country.

Hey, the man needs a nice quiet place to retire to. And as long as he retires and stays as far away from public life again, I hope he enjoys his new digs!!!!
Pence was a great good Christian man, and a great VP -- as long as he didn't have to do anything. But when he was finally called on to do the right thing and support the law and his president, he failed. So as long as he is gone from Washington DC, maybe the "swamp-itis" will finally be washed from his soul and he can go back to just being a good Christian again!!!
